Evening menu limited and food obviously precooked and kept warm as main course arrived in less time than I could have cooked it. It was tepid too No tea and coffee in room Poor ventilation Unable to shut off noisy bathroom fan

Friendly staff greeted us right as we walked in and gave us bathrobes to use for the outdoor hot tub

Was surprised there was a hot tub and an inflatable trampoline in the fjord, and kayaking right from the hotel. We would've stayed an extra day if we'd known. Even now, we're thinking to return from the US next year and spend more time. The view was gorgeous from our fjord-facing room with balcony.

Would have enjoyed cooked vegetables at breakfast, as it's so hard to get true vegetables while traveling in Norway.

Incredible views of the fjord from the room, very attentive staff, nice breakfast, private reservable hot tub available for additional price, pool and gym

The dinner menu was mediocre, few options and what we reviewed for dinner did not match the English menu descriptions.

Best place to stay

Fjord view is the best 👌 view I ever had in my life from my room balcony its so epic beautiful.

They have very less food variety in their own resturant they should included more fish and vegetarian dishes .

Amazing view and experience staying in this traditional hotel

Amazing location, friendly staff, extensive and tasty breakfast

we had very nice stay, the location, staff, surrounding. thank you.

Ulvik is beautiful and the hotel is located by the Fjord, amazing view and it is very calm and peaceful there. the entrance is not very welcoming, however inside of the property it is very nice, historical, clean, stylish. Through the main lobby/reception you go straight to the Fjord side. stunning. We were able to check-in earlier, and came with our little dog - we paid for standard room only, planning to stay all day outside - however we got room with garden exit and Fjord view - very nice upgrade. everyone was lovely and polite. restaurant was nice, was pleasant to see local products on the menu and nothing deep fried or pizza :)

Just the outside of the main entrance, I was worried where are we going :) me, personally I love hotel’s breakfast. unfortunately here, the selection wasn’t big - maybe because we got there 7:10 am? but that was something I was sad about.

Basic hotel facilities with excellent staff in a beautiful setting.

1. Its location was beautiful. 2. All of the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. 3. The room was clean, and everything in it functioned appropriately.

The dinner options were extremely limited, though I suppose it’s better to make 1 thing well than many badly. And I did much appreciate their effort to find and deliver a second choice.

You have to pay sauna. But it's not so terrible

Fantastic location, nice view from the room at high floor. A bit old, but pleasunt hotel. Good breakfast. Fantastic sauna on the fjord - a must!!! (need to book in advance, resonable cost).

Just a really nice View.

Outside Sauna(need to pay extra and schedule), Breakfast, View and the complementary Coffee&Tea

shower water goes everywhere, Bed not really comfortable, the utilities in the room where poor for the type of Hotel (no Minibar, ect.)

Clean, comfortable, good location, even if dated.

The location was excellent. I appreciated the beautiful views of the fjord from the balcony.

The wifi was very slow to the point of being unusable. The restaurant server was very helpful and friendly, but the food took a very long time to come from the kitchen. We would have ordered dessert but decided it wasn't worth the time it likely would have required based on how long it took dinner to come out.

The view was absolutely breathtaking and amazing. The staff were polite and helpful.

The room was clean and serviceable, but very sparse in terms of extras. There were no toiletries (only hand soap dispensers in the shower and by the sink) or coffee service within the room and the lighting in the bathroom was very dim - it was hard to see. The indoor sauna and pool were also out of service and using the outdoor hot tub requires an additional fee.

Fantastic location at the end of a fjord, with waterside deck with sauna & hot tub......

... the sauna & hot tub were out of order. Apparently for days, as the message was in a nicely printed announcement on the reception desk. Had these worked, the hotel would have been OK. Without it, definitely bad value for money.

Exceptional

The location of the hotel by the fjord is idyllic. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel has an old world charm and the breakfast was excellent. The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again.

great location, beautiful view of the fjord, nice garden to enjoy the view, very comfortable place to stay- important if the weather is not good. great breakfast. Fjord side hot tub and sauna!

Great location

The location is fantastic and the view from the room was marvelous. The room was nice and spacious, and had even a fire place. The staff was very friendly and polite.

The menu could have a bit more variety, but the quality was good. Some non-residents used the beach facilities which made it unnecessary crowded.

Beautiful lobby, friendly staff. Clean.

Shabby and old fashioned room, plain bathroom. No sockets by the bed. The breakfast was ok, but hardly nothing vegan to eat.
