Lovely stay in St Helens

Overall a good stay with a beautiful view to the water, a very clean & comfortable room (although slightly dated in some aspects) and an onsite pub. Location is fabulous. Easy walking distance to IGA supermarket, cafes, bakeries, fish & chips and a short drive to the Bay of Fires. The only thing we could fault (and found a bit strange) was no bathroom hand towel provided for guests. It’s the first time we’ve ever come across this and found it weird given that face washers were provided (I did request a hand towel from the absolutely lovely cleaning team, but was advised that it wasn’t something that was available so we ended up using the face washers as hand towels 🤷🏻‍♀️). Would I stay here again, yes. The comfort of the room and great location outweigh the minor concerns.

Great place with a fabulous view

The place is nice, comfy and cosy and suited for families. Its located close to shops and servo. Beds were very comfortable. The staff are very polite and helpful. We will surely be back. The place exceeded my expectations and we will be back for sure.

Poor value in a good location

Nice to look over the bay. Pity it's blocked by the cars in the car park. Well equipped room

Tiny room with stained carpet and a strong smell of damp. Very expensive for standard of accommodation.

Would happily stay again

Lovely views, clean and quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy drive to beautiful beaches, Bay of Fires.

central but noisy.

Central to all tourist spots, easy to find

it's above a bar, our stay fell on a weekend and we couldn't sleep because there's drunk people that kept us up all night. the rooms were thin. so only plan to stay if you're gonna have a drink downstairs and want somewhere to sleep without driving. not good for young and old families. lift is really old and couldn't take us up, only down, so not great for those who need the lift.

The lady in the restaurant was fantastic - our little one knocked over her drink - and it was nothing for her to come andhelp up clean it up and replace the drink (in smaller cups to make it easier)

more like a motel than a hotel with dated rooms.

it was spacious and has a view

dated rooms. understandably so as the town of st helens is very small and not much visitors. but they seem to be doing the best they can do given the situation

Beautiful spacious room, amazing location, friendly staff

We reached at 10.30pm and had to spend 10-15 mins to get someone to let us in through the main door. That was quite frustrating but the process went on quick and smooth after that

Exceptional

Very clean, comfy beds. Pleasant surprise to have provided plates, bowls and cups if we had required them to have food in room. Dining room was great with excellent service and happy wait staff. Friendly atmosphere. Recommend the bakery next to the BP a few steps along the road for breakfast.

Nothing negative. Everything as expected.

Room was much larger than expected Motel is centrally located Love the traditional use of timber unfortunately they also created a lot of noise, external noise

Noisy because of hard material used Lift was slow, stair was steep
