No hay muchos baños/duchas, el staff de recepción poco amigable...

Ubicación muy buena, el desayuno es variado y muy rico. Tiene un bar y una mesa de billar, también piscina.

No hay baños fuera de los dormitorios, es decir si en un sitio de 8 a 10 personas, alguien esta usando la ducha o en el baño ,los demás deben esperar forzosamente hasta que termine el otro, esto es mejorable con un área de duchas / baños común. El Staff de recepción muy serio especialmente en la noche, nada amigables...

No lo recomiendo - Jamás volveria

Es muy buena la ubicación. El personal no se lleva una excelente calificación, la realidad es que la mayoria no son amables ni tienen espiritu para trabajar en hoteleria; pero otras personas, como Nati (de la recepción) son amables y se encuentran a disposición. El desayuno es caro si no lo tenes incluido, pero es abundante y rico.

1. Las habitaciones no tienen ventilación natural ni luz natural. Las paredes tienen humedad. Dado a esto, las sábanas se llenan de hongos y hay que tener el aire acondicionado prendido todo el tiempo (por lo que hace mucho frio en las habitaciones). 2. En todos lados hay música y desde muy temprano; no tenes ningun lugar tranquilo para tener una llamada, relajarte y disfrutar de la tranquilidad. 3. La limpieza realmente es pésima; estuve ahi 2 semanas y si no pedia cambio de sábanas, no las cambian. Se limpia muy muy por encima los cuartos y baños. 4. Selina se vende como un hostel para nomadas digitales y te hacen pagar el espacio de coworking a parte. Si bien ésta información se comparte antes de reservar, considero que dado a que no hay otro lugar tranquilo (y con enfuches) en los espacios comunes, deberian revisar esa politica. 5. Los tours que venden son una estafa total. Podria seguir con la lista pero destaco lo más feo. Realmente no recomiendo este lugar.

Zonas comunes increíbles

El hostal tiene todo tipo de instalaciones muy bien cuidadas para que la estancia sea lo mas agradable posible tanto como si viajas solo como si viajas en grupo. Las zonas comunes son una maravilla.

La habitación compartida no tiene mucha ventilación aunque como tiene aire acondicionado no se esta mal.

Expensive and uncomfortable stay - pick another hostel

Reception staff is wonderful. However the team running the bars and restaurants are pretty standoffish. They’re more interested in chatting to each other than noticing your third attempt at getting their attention. Location is good and close to walled city, though can seem a bit unsafe at night. Other major hostel chains are in better locations.

Uncomfortable. Our bed was broken - it kept squeaking, even with the smallest movement. The power kept going off in our room (tho was fine in the main areas). The rooms in the main building face into the reception area - making it super bright and noisy at night. There is barely any soundproofing between walls. If the room next to ours had the shower on, it would be loud enough to wake us up.

No me gustaron los lockers de la habitación y no me parece que los precios del bar son elevados, preferí salir del hostal varias veces.

la habitación privada, las actividades que organizaban y las terrazas para trabajar y relajarse. también la ubicación en Getsemaní y muy cerca del centro (5-7min)

Great place to stay for comfort food location and helpful staff

Loved the staff. So helpful. Really made a big difference to the trip. Helped get on tours, advise where medical places were and where could buy new phone after classic travelling incidents but best Selina staff of all the selinas I have stayed in across Panama and Colombia. Great food… really great food. Lovely roof tops and pools. We had a private shared room with 4 beds and our own bathroom it was great. Also had lockable lockers. Fantastic location. Would recommend. And after 11 it was pretty quiet. They also did same day laundry for you.

It was all good actually. Had a terrific stay.

Uno de los mejores hostales de Cartagena.

Muy cómodo, el personal era muy amable y las piezas estaban súper limpias y ordenadas. La ubicación inmejorable cercano a lugares turísticos y restaurantes. Lo mejor que tiene es la vista se puede apreciar unos atardeceres preciosos acompañados de una muy buena comida o trago, sin duda volveremos a escoger Selina.

Could be perfect if the rooms would be a bit renovated

Everyday there were activities organized. The room was okaish. But always clean.

The bathroom should be renovated. Many things were broken and did not work 100%, toilet seat, the water tap broken.

Superb

I really liked this hostel. The rooftop is amazing and very social, they offer so many activities there. The location is really great too. The bedrooms were clean and nicely air conditioned.

The beds were not the most confortable and it was quite noisy. The shower didnt close so the whole bathroom was wet after.

Horrible experience

Location was good

Bathroom flush didn’t work, shower door didn’t work ( #A1444). There was loud music played in the middle of night ( like 2 or 3 AM). I have stayed in many Selina properties and they were all excellent. This hotel is spoiling Selina reputation.

Perfect location and excellent stay but this description only applies to suite rooms

my reserved standard room in this hotel was very bad, very small ordinary and with no outside window. I said that I have clostrophobia and can not stay in a room without outside window. I wanted to change my room but they said that all standard rooms are same. They had only suite rooms with outside windows and they were all reserved that night. I think it was just painted and could not sleep because of the odor and the uncomfortable bed. Next day I have passed to suite room with paying nearly double but it worthed. Very nice, big, well furnished and very comfortable with even coffee machine; lovely like your house. I advice the guests to reserve the suit rooms only, in this hotel. The location was perfect for conference center and for sightseeing places and the staff was very kind. Also there was a library where I could have studied until I pass to my suite room.

The standard room which I have reserved was awful! no outside windows, very small, bad odor, uncomfortable bed.

If you are not a backpacker better stay away.

The location was really good The breakfast was good, variety of options and tasty This is a hostel so for backpackers it must be good and have good facilities Space to leave your luggage The staff was friendly and helpful It has elevator

The room was terrible. Smelly, high humidity in the room, no window and some smelly air freshener that made me really allergic. The furniture was old and shabby. The bed linens were of doubtful cleanness too. Also, there is no sound proof at all and ppl tend to gather in the corridors and be noisy or make parties. Your "windows" are going out on the corridor so you can hear everything. I am sure one can find a better place for this money in Cartagena.

Don’t go there!

Location is the only good thing.

Most of the staff is unfriendly and not motivated, working in slow-mo. Rooms don’t have windows and no air circulation. All my clothes and backpacks were wet after the night (didn’t turn on the AC, so the water condensed within the room). Selina offered refund that I didn’t receive yet! Further I got bedbugs in that double room.

If you want something in Gethsemane, it's in a great location. Nice rooftop as well.

Our flight was late so we arrived at 2am and the person behind the desk was very slow checking us in. He kept on stopping to serve people water while we were dying to get to sleep. Then when he finally gave us a key, there were people already sleeping in our room! 2nd attempt he found us a room but it had no external windows and was very grotty. Not a good experience at all.

Overpriced Micro Room with bad shared toilet

Good location just 5 min from historical center. Room with good A/C, wifi and comfortable bed.

Micro Room is really micro, shared bathroom with no window, bad smell and just one per floor. Check-in is slow and poor information. Rooftop pool is a small tank on the floor. Overpriced.
