Een weekje ertussenuit met goede vrienden

De sauna en de Jacuzzi maar ook de verdere faciliteiten van het appartement. Leuk was ook dat de eigenaar desgevraagd ruim voldoende tijd nam om de andere appartementen te tonen. Mochten we nog een keer overwegen om naar Westendorf te gaan zouden wij wellicht terugkomen, maar dan wel in een van de appartementen op de verdieping met een mooier uitzicht.

Het appartementsgebouw lag bij het centrum, maar ietwat ingebouwd. Hierdoor een minder fraai uitzicht op de bergen. Een van de redenen om het appartement te huren was de, volgens de beschrijving, aanwezigheid van een privé zwembad. Dit was er echter niet. Ik denk overigens dat dit niet direct een fout van de verhuurder was, want hij was oprecht verbaasd toen ik hem ernaar vroeg, maar meer door vertaalproblemen met de Jacuzzi. Desalniettemin voor ons jammer. Wat ons ook wel wat tegenviel was het uitzicht. Wij hadden de Luxe accommodatie met uitzicht op de tuin en bergen voor 4-6 personen geboekt. Dit appartement (Bergsonne) ligt op de begane grond en heeft inderdaad (over de relatief hoge afrastering) uitzicht op de tuin. Het uitzicht op de bergen was echter zeer beperkt. (zie foto's). Overigens hebben de mooie appartementen op de verdieping wel een fraai uitzicht. Ook de keuken was, hoewel goed uitgerust, kleiner dan de foto's van de keukens op de site. De andere appartementen hadden wel ruimere keukens. Houd er ook rekening mee dat je slechts eenmaal per week een set handdoeken krijgt. Er is weliswaar (tegen redelijke betaling) een wasmachine/droger beschikbaar maar wanneer alle appartementen bezet zijn, kan dit m.i. wat beperkt blijken te zijn. (wij waren op dat moment de enige gasten) De publieke ruimten waren bij aankomst niet goed schoongemaakt en daar is de hele week ook niets aan gedaan (wellicht omdat wij de enige gasten waren).

Fantastic weekend away.

Well located, friendly greeting great value for money. Facilities were fantastic. Shower was great and beds were comfy.

Wonderful place to stay

The owner is a wonderful person. We arrived early and he checked us in. The apartment is lovely and very very clean. All the facilities at the kitchen are highly maintained. 👌

Lovely and clean appartment. Close to all the shops you need and the first small skilift. You can ski from this lift to the ‘Alpenrosebahn’ gondle. would definitely come back here!

Nice apartment close to everything but won’t stay again

very clean apartment with great facilities. close to the ski lifts. fresh towels provided mid week. plenty of room for 4-6 adults.

the WiFi did not work. I asked about this 3 times. was told it was just our phones. checked with others in building there’s did not work either. needed this for work and so children could watch tv at night

Beautiful apartment in perfect location with a wonderful host.

It was in the heart of Westendorf so everything was within walking distance. The apartment was roomy and very comfortable and because we were on the main floor, we even had the use of a hot tub. The kitchen was also very well equipped. our host, Kaspar, went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. I had a little difficulty with the washing machine and he came to my rescue. Parking was in a private garage, safe and secure. It was a wonderful 5 nights and we can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Everything was wonderful. Just a heads up-the washer and dryer are not in the apartment. They are downstairs and are coin-operated. If you plan to use them, make sure to have euros.

Excellent location

Very nice apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with sauna) and a large living room with a well equipped kitchen which was more than enough for 2 adults and 2 children for 4 nights. The view was also amazing to the green hills surrounding the village. The location had underground parking very easily accessible.

Wonderful apartment in great location

The apartment is really spacious and we especially enjoyed the wonderful balcony with its sunset view and the sauna. Everything you need is close by - two supermarkets (spar has vegan options) and also the gondola is just a few minutes walking distance away. The property is quite new and modern.

The stove and microwave are switched off at night and can only be used from 8.30-22.00. Actually our stove only worked from 8.50am. So if you want to have an early breakfast to catch the first gondola and/or at the day of your check out that’s a problem. We actually need the stove for breakfast so it was a bit inconvenient that we had to wait for it to work. Also the sauna didn’t switch on after 10pm. I guess there’s a reason for it, but these kind of restrictions made us rate the place 9/10 and not 10/10.
