Plaza is a great hotel near to a nice beach for families. The food was tasty. The staff was professional, I was impressed.
Wi-fi not working most of the time and when working speed was very bad, not possible to stream a video. Quite tricky to find a free table to eat. No activity for children nearby, Maro club is on the other side of the beach ... this was horrible.

Let's start with the hotel itself, i just found out that the hotel is Veli Mel and not San Marino Sunny Resort. We came there and thr floor of the room is very grainy (sandy dusty god knows if it was clean thoroughly). The Cr is so crammed that when you showed it is flooding!

Comfortable bed, good AC.
Breakfast coffee is sucks. They should also have a bar in the dinner/breakfast restaurant to buy more variety of alcohol.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is superb, right by a sandy and shallow bay, so ideal for kids. Free parking. Plenty of choice at mealtimes.
Room/bathroom could probably do with a makeover.

The picture of the rooms on booking was not the same with the hotel we get. We get a bad hotel with very old rooms, the funiture were very old and bad, the smell in the room were very bad. On booking the picture are from all hotels they have. Some of their hotels are nice but some are very bad. When we choose the rooms we thing that the hotel were nice beause the picture were nice, instead we receive a very old and bad hotel. So for this reason we had a very bad experience. I suggest. For the future that they should put the real picture of the hotel when you choose the room, in order to know where you will stay and to not have a very bad surprise. Thank you.

The staff did their best.
THIS LISTING IS MISLEADING - PLEASE READ: The resort is made up of 3 or 4 different buildings. Only one of these buildings has been renovated. The others feel like soviet era hospital rooms. As one comment here says, "did Castro stay in these rooms?" Do not booking from this listing, you will be given one of the cheap rooms and you will be thoroughly disappointed. Lastly, the food was pretty poor. Buffet style that suited the oldies who frequented the place, but not for anyone looking for hot food and maybe even a bit of seasoning.

Staff, location and restaurant are wonderful. You can find all types of food both at breakfast and dinner, a lot choice and a good variety during the days, plus a good choice of drinks available for the taking. After all recommended. Receptionists are great, if something isn't up to your liking they quickly fix it. The beach is close and beautiful provided with beds and umbrellas (not included in the price of the hotel).
Recommended also for families with kids.
The structure is quite old and needs a renovation, triple rooms are small, after all they're fine but you need to be there just for sleeping otherwise you can hardly move with 3 people inside.

Very good breakfast, bufet with a lot of choices. Nice location of the restaurant.
The room was OK, but doesn't have a balcony. For the price I expected more, but the food was excelent, I had breakfast and dinner and both were very good with a lot of dishes. The dishes for the dinner changed each day, we could taste a lot of foods and the drinks were included, good local beer and vine.

Beach and food are very good. Rooms are somewhat old and air conditioned. Pillows top soft for my liking.
WiFi is not usable. So disappointing and embarassing to not have notmally functioning internet in a hotel.

Really close to the beach. Free, private parking nearby.
I was in room 225. AC is very noisy. I had to put a towel under it to decrease the noise. The towel got dirty, so A/C could be cleaned from the bottom as well. After this fix, noise was better. Some device maintenance in that room could definitely help. I did not even complain about it on site, just now you are asking.

I liked the hotel being near the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived after a long car ride just as dinner was ending but the manager or gentleman in charge was kind enough to make my son and I a plate. We really appreciated it!!!
Also the desk clerk at the Sahara hotel, a gentleman whose name I don't know unfortunately, was super nice giving us information about anything we needed and even filling/keeping our water bottles cold for the day. Thank you so much for a very pleasant vacation at a beautiful location in Lopar! Hoping to return soon!

If you could extend breakfast time to 12 or leave out some breakfast items for people who can't make it by 10 am that would be great. My 16 year old teenager son slept through every breakfast (due to his age and the 6 hour time difference between our country and Croatia). I had to worry about finding typical breakfast fare on the beach which was nearly impossible. Also access to tea and coffee during the day and in the evening would have been nice. I drink tea every night normally. Something other guests would appreciate I'm sure. Thanks 😊

The hotel complex itself is located quite nicely, close to the beach and other fun evening attractions which was great for our kid. The beach area was just perfect, shallow water, play areas, board walk, ... perfect for families with kids. It didn't take long to get around the complex. While breakfast and dinner weren't served at our hotel, the short walk still made it worthwhile. Breakfast was delicious, dinner was great with quite some options to choose from. Only downside: way too many people, not enough capacity. Seating was often difficult to find and lines to get food long. But in the end, its taste was still worth the wait.
Once we arrived we found out there was no elevator in our hotel and our rooms were located on the second floor in separate wings of the buildings. While I'm still young it didn't matter as much but my parents had troubles carrying their suitcase upstairs. Stuff was unfriendly and didn't even consider helping them in any way. Furthermore, the rooms are a tad bit too small. Even moving around in there was sometimes a bit difficult; two adults and we had to communicate closely to not run into each other in this tight space. Looking back, however, we had great weather and luckily didn't spend much time in there anyway. So it worked out fine for our stay.
