Very good experience. Strongly recommended

The hotel is excellent. Despite being located next to the road, it remains quiet. Windsor Castle is just a 5-minute walk away. It's clever of the hotel to provide detailed video instructions for accessing the property :) This hotel will be my first choice when staying in Windsor.

It would be perfect if the hotel offered luggage storage.

Nice room well situated for Windsor but shame about the road

Terrible experience and costly

We arrived late afternoon and the room was not cleaned from previous occupants. Unclean bed sheets, unclean towels, etc. We contacted the owners but took a while to get back to us so we booked a different hotel costing us more money. We were promised a refund but another payment was taken, so paid twice. We have had one refund but still awaiting another.

For the price per night this is NOT 4 star. It is 2 at best.

Not much in all honesty apart from the location

We had to swap bedrooms with our sons as the William double was extremely musty/damp and my wife can sense this as she starts sneezing. The bedside lamps in the Elizabeth twin we slept in worked intermittently and bathroom extractor was very noisey.

Wonderful short stay

We had an extended (23 hour) layover and decided to come to Windsor, as it is so close to Heathrow and a little more relaxing than London. Charles House was perfect for this stay. I used to live in the area, and staying here I felt very much at home! Check-in process was smooth and we received instructions for access code well ahead of time. We arrived about an hour before check-in time but were kindly allowed to store our luggage in the house before our room was ready. The room was the perfect size, bed was comfortable, and there was good water pressure in the shower. Location was convenient - the street was quiet, but it’s a very short (5 minute) walk to the main shops. Overall excellent value for money and we would return again.

Beautifully comfortable room in a perfect central location.

Great location for a short stay. Easy access to restaurants, train, attractions, etc.

Code entry was convenient. Appreciated ability to leave luggage under stairs for short duration after check out.

Comfortable but with some issues.

Large size room, comfortable beds.

Shower curtain had been taped up, so fell down during the first shower. Large flies crawling on the floor on arrival. Very close to the busy road / traffic light junction.

Superb

That it was walking distance to every attraction. There was food store across the road. It was a lovely big room.

Would have liked a microwave so could heat food. With windows open because it was so hot, quite a bit of road noise.

The property was a little tired. Unfortunately one set of towells appeared to had been previously used, or not laundered properly.

Good location 15 min walk to Windsor. Public car park is a couple of minutes from Charles house.

Not so clean place. Mouldy bathroom and lots of cobwebs and dust.

Superb

Fab location for a family group within easy reach of town centre. Very clear communication and instructions for accessing the property. Car parking nearby. Very spacious rooms.

Traffic noise might be an issue for some people.

Great stay

N/A. Loved fridge and cutlery etc. Could have done with a j cloth and tea towel

A radiator stayed on the whole time, despite us turning it off. So room was very hot.
