Value for money in Portland Victoria

Large room well appointed for travellers staying a few days. Friendly staff. Electric blankets, reverse cycle air conditioning, TV, crockery and cutlery. Breakfast making facilities. Space for kids to play safely.

If car-less then a distance from Portland CBD.

I have stayed here a few times but I think I will go somewhere else next time.

Great location, good parking

Microwave was making a horrible sound. I didn't use it because I thought it was going to blow up. My son was sick in the bed, and I cleaned it up the best I could. However, was charged an extra $50 as they had to wash the doona ? Shouldn't they be washing it anyway ? When I took the sheets of the bed, there were stains all over the mattress cover and on the pillow 🤢 Tea and coffee provided but no milk. Trim on built-ins under the fridge kept falling off

Had 2 large double beds. Reasonable size room.

2 smoke alarms in my BED!! Lamps not working Expected to wash my dishes in bathroom hand basin. Crockery etc was not checked before us and needed to be washed before use! Not sure when carpet was last vacuumed Not 4.1 stars by a long way.

Watch out for extra fees on top of booking.com price

location was a long way out of Portland and required transport to get into the city. Plates and cups were dirty. I was asked for my credit card and charged extra fees despite booking with booking.com. My previous stay a day before did not require these extra fees and I was charged directly through the website. Asked for reimbursement of fees but this was declined.
