Very nice , regenerating and comfortable.

The overall scenery is impressive and the boat ride from D1 very nice.The room setting ( beds and other related facilities) is OK.Breakfast choice and selection are appropriate. Restaurant menu regarding vietnamese dishes might be a bit more various and tastes "better vietnamese". Western dishes choice is OK though.

lovely staff, beautiful rooms, food could be improved

The staff were lovely, very helpful and the small swimming pool area was relaxing. the bar upstairs was also beautiful . They made the room extra lovely as it was our anniversary.

The food was not great, it was expensive for what it was. We sent some food back as it was cold and they didn’t charge us for it but it was disappointing.

Superb

Transport to and from the resort is very convenient to arrange. There is a free water taxi service provided at certain timings and you can easily book a grab to take you directly to the airport. The lobby is situated under a beautiful canopy of trees and there you will be greeted with a tasty cool drink and fruits while your butler initiates the check-in process. The room itself was spacious, tastefully decorated, and everything you could possibly need was provided. The TV comes with netflix and Amazon prime which kept me entertained throughout my stay.

Although the room was huge, the overall compound was smaller than expected. There's not much to explore within the resort itself. I crossed paths with a large rat in the morning but I'm not sure if that is to be expected given the rural location of the resort. Also the sight of the river dulls after a while. It's definitely not stunning enough if you're chasing scenic views.

Heavently Honeymoon

An Lam is an oasis in the sprawling city of Saigon. Nestled away next to the Saigon river, be prepared to soak in a different Saigon. Greenery, tranquility and wellness are the words that come to mind when I think An Lam.

Very good

lovely room and a beautiful setting, it's hard to believe your actually in the city.

Too much shade at the pool. The staff took pictures of our sheets when we were checking out ( assuming looking for stains) which I found very strange and awkward. Tried to charge us for a dirty wash cloth, although I managed to speak to the manager who took the charge of the bill. very strange for a 5 star hotel not to provide cotton for make removal and then try charging you for leaving their towels dirty.

Peaceful riverside paradise. Beware of mosquitos! :)

Exceptional

Amazingly beautiful location, so calm and just 15 minutes by boat up the river from the city centre. We were on our honeymoon and the staff put together a wonderful surprise for us. Highly recommend!

Excellent ‘jungle’ hotel not far from the city

In light of the other reviews (in particular those more negative ones), perhaps we were lucky as all was simply great! - very attentive and friendly staff, including Daniel, the General Manager - we had a clean and very spacious waterfront Family Villa with a swimming pool - efficient boat transfer to and from the hotel - good food (once they learned that my wife was a vegetarian, they provided her an extensive and rich vegetarian menu. That was an excellent touch!) - happy hours for cocktails daily - amazing ‘jungle’ garden

- WIFI could be faster - toilets/showers in villas should have curtains to provide more privacy - the boats on the river may be a bit noisy (obviously, it’s not the hotel’s fault)

Favourite getaway weekend

It' a quick boat trip from the city, the journey could be also very joyful and restful with small groups. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Food is reasonable. I reccommend a seat at veranda having a cocktail at sunset. In general, I had a happy stay. This place is going to my favourite list.

The only thing I wish it could be improved is the bed blanket and bathroom toiletry bottles (there should be pump).

A hidden gem in the bustling city.

Everything has been renovated to a totally spotless level. The staff are very kind and service oriented and most of them speaks a great English. The vegetation and 'wild life' ( squirrels :) at the resort makes you forget that you are actually staying in the outskirts of a 10M inhabitants city. Watching the barges sailing at the river and the water hyacinths floating by provides a state of tranquillity. While the rooms might be a bit pricy the (good) food at the restaurant are at a more economical level.

Our butler was Lemon and she looked after us really well and made our stay very comfortable :)

The ambiance, greenery, staff, spa, pool, the buffet breakfast, mostly everything

There was not enough shuttle service with the boat. Two trips a day is not enough and we wish they were offered more frequently. Also the waitstaff need further training at the restaurant as our entrées and mains were brought together and we felt rushed even though the restaurant was not full. The food could be more authentic Vietnamese choices, more fresh and live seafood would be great.

We were very happy overall and given the chance we plan to return and try out one of the Villas.

Good variety & great taste however would have preferred a buffet breakfast. Good A/C in room. Very comfortable bed. Extremely friendly & helpful staff.

The television reception was unreliable and very few channels to choose from with western style shows.
