A good location with adequate facilities.

Staff were extremely helpful. Food was excellent Beer was excellent

Room could have been bigger. No windows! Bathroom had a good large shower but the hand basin was tiny Dining not available after 4pm on Sundays. Bar closes early.

Great traditional hotel.

An excellent traditional hotel. The staff were very welcoming. Our room was very large and comfortable. Great night’s sleep. The location was very convenient for our walk along the South Downs Way.

Great quirky hotel in a gorgeous location

Nice people, decent food, comfortable room, & a really interesting location near the South Downs Way with a ruined castle & a lot of incredible old buildings. A good local hangout kind of place, unpretentious & not gentrified.

No downside, it was great for our needs. But if you want something with centuries-old ambiance & Period decor, this would not be your cuppa.

Big thank you to the breakfast team always helpful even in the most difficult and awkward situations.

Clean and warm rooms, delicious and reasonably priced food, along with excellent customer service, can truly make a stay memorable. A delicious breakfast is always a great way to start the day on the right foot, especially when it is served by an excellent breakfast team.

Fabulous stay.

Staff were great. Service, great. Food, fabulous. A lovely stay, made to feel very welcome. The owner's artwork on the walls is amazing in the restaurant. Car park is a little tight for big cars. I would return in a heartbeat.

It was a nice area but we would not return to the hotel

Parking was good and dining room was pleasant

Didn’t like the rear entrance to bar. It was a bit dated and the floor was uneven. It was also very hot in the bedrooms and not very clean- hairs and dust!

Unfriendly staff, definitely not a warm welkom. They needed my creditcard and registration first. Not asking how the journey had been.

Staff helpful. Restaurant good. Grub for dinner & breakfast OK.

Website is appalling. SIX copies of the same (unwanted) message & everyone repeated the info. THREE times. So 18 huge copies! Drives you bananas! Bedroom much too hot, although the weather was NOT particularly hot. Very little storage space. To much of the incessant mindless noise (Musak?) coming out of the speakers.

There was no one there to greet and direct me to my room. I was left written instructions on the counter. The kettle in the room was disgusting and unusable. I ordered an early breakfast but none was produced for me.

Nice welcome from the young staff

We stayed overnight at The Castle Inn Hotel in Bramber while walking the South Downs Way. A nice welcome from the young staff and a large, comfortable room on the second floor. A very good katsu chicken curry for dinner, with a glass of ale from the local micro brewery. A good night's rest and a great choice of breakfast options to set us up for our walk the next day - I had a huge mushroom and cheese omelette!

Such good value, I wanted a 2nd night - unavailable

On-site parking. Helpful staff. Everything well thought out within limited space. Great facilities, & clean. A la carte breakfast included. Dined PM in the hotel's restaurant (supplementary). Wanted a second night's stay, but unsurprisingly fully booked.

Booking.com's multiple communications. Confirmation, reminder, payment advice, payment taken, all generate a huge email repeating the hotel's T&Cs (12!)
