Brief but enjoyable with good food from a large menu choice.

Hotel location. Plenty of room in the restaurant although a strange ordering arrangement. Breakfast cooked fresh and hot.

Staff were friendly and pleasant, room spacious and clean. Decent desk area to be able to work, and sensible sized TV, unlike many of the local establishments...

Breakfast felt a bit hit and miss........ Supposed o be served from 07:00 and in fact was, but not if you wanted eggs, you had to wait for those and if you wanted mushrooms, you had to pay extra. No continental option of cerials, fruits etc. So pretty limited and not exactly inspiring. What was there was cooked well though. General menu not wholey impressive, it's extensive, but lots of things fried, or pizzas, no healthy options here, had ONE salad listed, and when it arrived that was swimming in Ranch Sauce... WiFi was a bit of a joke, O2 are the provider and you have to register by phone, but there's no phone signal...... so you get the confiormation text the next day....

Very brief but a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed.

We arrived late after difficult travelling conditions and a 90th birthday party. I had tried from 7pm to advise the hotel that we would be late. When I finally made contact they were very helpful and waited for us. The room and bed were comfortable. We didn’t have evening meal or breakfast.

The lighting in the main room was not great especially for applying makeup. Overhead lights only in the entrance by the bathroom and the table light on the desk was dim but that was only a very minor point.

Nice comfortable and friendly stay for a reasonable price

rooms were spacious warm and comfortable , quiet location, good shower and decent wifi

tv needed retuning as only a few channels available also smart tv elements not working the rainfall head didnt work on the shower (room 22) good full English breakfast but little choice for those who wanted something else

Good for a short stay

The staff were superb, every last one was friendly and welcoming. The room was a good size and the en-suite was good too. I enjoyed the carvery on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. I like a fry-up breakfast. This one was OK and it was included in the room rate. Wi-fi was good. Food and drinks can be ordered from the Stonehouse pub smartphone app. The bar had one really nice real ale.

a bit dated, no hair dryer, initially a little chilly until I found and shut an open fire exit in the corridor

Large bedroom and bathroom Quiet Quick check-in Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful Called me in advance to discuss room options Easy parking Very close to my sister's house (where we were visiting) Comfy communal spaces Housekeeping service Bedside lamps Large proper double bed (not two singles put together) Heated towel rail

Pillows were terrible - thin, lumpy and uncomfortable No blanket provided (so had to turn on radiator) No grab rail to enter/exit shower (there was one, but it was for when in the shower only) Broken switch so could only use rain shower, not wall-mounted (so impossible not to get hair wet) Design of shower made it impossible to not get water over the floor, which made it slippery Carvery chef was rude and unhelpful (this is the restaurant, not the hotel, though) Lots of info given at check-in that I had to remember (would have been useful for it to be written down)

Great stay and definitely recommend.

Genuine, friendly and very helpful staff. Our second stay and was not disappointed.

Hotel beds are always far too firm for our liking. As a person having spine problems i need a real good mattress which will support you on all levels with more flexibility within the springs.

Overnight stay in Basingstoke

Clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking. Quiet area great for getting our granddaughter to sleep. Was great to have restaurant on site that was open for baby's dinner time.

Nothing to dislike.

lovely hotel with a fab location! great staff!

fab location! we used this as a place to stay as we visited the distillery Down the road. the staff were really helpful when we asked about taxis and they informed us of a bus which really helped us out and made our visit so much easier. lovely clean rooms! lovely welcome and very helpful staff. get choice for breakfast!

the room was a little dark in the day/ morning when trying to get ready. the bathroom had no extraction which resulted in the room getting very damp. toilet was a little dirty and could do with a better clean further back.

Tired old place, with good staff but almost no reason to come here except as a last resort.

Hotel staff was nice and efficient, facilities were kept clean and nice.

A very tired business, which showed in how everything was half-broken, fixed with tape and band-aids. Toilets that could not flush properly, windows with holes, creaking, cracking everything. The "View" was into a few trees, some old tanks of something and a few inches of barren field. Breakfast, was a gunky gooey mess unless you arrived very early for it, with half the dishes missing. Disappointing to say the least.

Superb

Well set out and clean. Tea and coffee facilities. Good parking on the hotel grounds and quiet. Excellent value for money.

No complaints. I would recommend this hotel and gladly stay again .
