Not worth what I paid for, next time I am in Phucket I would try a different resort.

The location is convenient

The restaurants and the breakfast were below the expectations as they have limited options for breakfast and the staff were not friendly and do not serve hotel guests with a smile.

בסה"כ מאד נהנינו, חגגנו את יום הנישואין ה-20 שלנו והפרטיות במלון הייתה מושלמת. הנוף היה מדהים!

הנוף היה מדהים ! התארחנו בוילה עם נוף למפרץ וקיבלנו מיקום פצצה של וילה עם נוף למפרץ וגם לאוקיינוס, הבריכה הפרטית הייתה כייפית מאד, ארוחת הבוקר היתה טובה. היה כל מה שצריך ואפילו יותר, אבל ללא גיוון כל יום היה אותו דבר. המיקום של הוילה היה מאד קרוב ללובי ולמסעדה של ארוחת הבוקר כך שלא היה צורך בהליכה מרובה. הצוות היה מאד נחמד ושירותי. האפשרות לכביסה בחינם של 8 פריטים מדי יום היתה מאד מועילה. ביקשנו צ'ק אאוט מאוחר כי הטיסה שלנו היתה בלילה, הצוות אפשר לנו להישאר בחדר אורחים אחר עד לעזיבה בשעה 18:00 (חדר האורחים היה מסריח מביוב ובכל זאת צריך לומר תודה על ההיענות של הצוות לצ'ק אאוט מאוחר, עזבנו הרבה יותר מוקדם ממה שרצינו כי היה קשה לשאת את הריח).

היו מלא מלא נמלים קטנות בחדר. לא היה אפשר להשאיר על השולחן כוס שתיה יותר מכמה דקות כי מיד הכוס התמלאה בנמלים קטנות. בשירותים הנוספים לא ניתן לזרוק נייר טואלט וחתיכת נייר קטנה גרמה לסתימה. זה היה מאד לא נעים. המיקום מאד מאד רחוק ממרכז העניינים. כחצי שעה ואפילו יותר בשעות עמוסות, נסיעה לפטונג ברכב אורכת כארבעים דקות, למזלנו היה לנו רכב שכור אז יכולנו להסתדר, אלמלא הרכב השכור היה מאד קשה ויקר לצאת כל יום.

Room space

The room was very humid, the staff to reduce the humidity had to set the AC at a very low temperature and the room was getting really cold. The AC was also dripping, the facilities tried ti fix it but without results

A true welliesure stay.

Every single thing in this resort is amazing. It was such a pleasant experience. If only the private beach wasn't rocky and swimmable, it would have been perfect. The size of the room and the pool with the view are exceptional. The breakfast is amazing. Shared facilities are all clean are amazing. The spa and the programs they offer are

Amazing can’t wait to return.

We felt very welcomed to Amatara from the start of our stay. The staff made sure to make every aspect of our stay special and went above what you would normally expect. the resort is beautiful and location is perfect for relaxation.

5-star price but no 5-star experience

Quiet, lots of greenery

Lacklustre food offerings: breakfast is mediocre, the restaurants are ok but not great, private dining and floating breakfast are really overpriced for what it is. We had a (very expensive) ocean view pool villa, but the view was half blocked. Build quality could be better, finishing should be more luxurious for the price. Staff is ok but not amazing. They cancelled our booking several times, which was quite stressful We stayed at four hotels during our honeymoon, this was the worst for me out of the four.

Exceptional

One of our favorite places for a relaxing holiday during European winter. We stayed at Amatara for the third time in the past few years and will be happy to come again. The staff is extremely nice, friendly and welcoming, food is delicious (there are 3 restaurants at the hotel, and you can find several local restaurants close by), fantastic spa. I particularly enjoyed doing yoga at one of the decks with an amazing view on the ocean. I practiced yoga by myself to see the sunrise but the hotel also offers a variety of yoga and fitness courses (comes at extra charge though). You can go for a walk to the cape panwa close by and see the sunset and grab something to eat. We loved it truly, thanks to the whole amatara team!

absolutely awesome

the facility, the staff, the attention to details when making the room, the fine dining restaurant and the absolutely amazing services at the Spa, I received the best massages there. the whole facility has relaxing spaces and the morning buffet is incredible good!

the resort is in the east side of the island and is very close to the port, hence is not the best side of the island for beaches. But once you are in the resort you won’t feel like going to the beach! also the resort is surrounded by nothing which is perfect for relaxing but at the same time you won’t find anything close. The thai restaurant gives you a very different experience from the fine dining.

Beautiful room, great facilities, excellent staff service

staff service was excellent, we had a little injury prior to trip, staff offered to pick us up and buggy us around the resort. Room was lovely and private and a great view from your room. Facilities were abundant: gym, sky bar, restaurants were wonderful. We were surprised by the quality of food at Scene restaurant. the Sky Bar felt like a quiet retreat too.

Look out for promos to get a good price 🤪 FYI- water activities are available but you have to regularly check whether the tide allows for it, we did not manage to find a time to do them.

the room is great with a pool villa and jacuzzi. The hotel swimming pool is fantastic, with an infinity pool view facing the ocean. There is also a small private beach for relaxing . we also highly recommend the spa treatment .

Beautiful hotel and environment for those looking for peace and tranquillity

Amazing staff- always so kind and friendly Great service everywhere in hotel, including on the beach Beautiful pool with plenty of comfortable sunbeds- never crowded even in high season Calm and peaceful environment at all times of day and night

It would have been really helpful to have more information in the rooms about local attractions and services The hotel restaurants were largely deserted in the evenings and lacked atmosphere- although breakfast was delicious!

great stay if you want unwind and relax in private pool villa but I think hotel can immorove specially in terms of food

The hotel sits on a nice view of the ocean, its nice to enjoy a private pool while surrounded by nice views and greenery with comes with disadvantage of more mosquitoes.

Air conditioning was very week in the ocean view villas, and some of villas dont have a great view as others but staff made their best to change us for best available.
