Welcome to Palacio Atlantico, a gated property, an ocean lover’s dream, "directly" on the World Famous Kite Beach. The intimate Condo has only 6 Units and is directly on the beach with amazing views of the ocean. The gardens at the front and back are simply magnificent; the prettiest in Cabarete. Walk down a few steps and be on the beach where world class windsurfing and kiteboarding is right in front of you.
Take a leisurely walk along the beach and pick any one of the fabulous beachside restaurants to eat, with the waves only steps away. Or, simply relax on the "Palapa" Deck in the back garden directly overlooking the beach, & watch breathtaking sunrises & sunsets while listening to the waves crashing on the sand. Swimming or just wading in the water is peaceful due to the natural reef that runs parallel to the beach.
This beautiful two bedroom oceanfront condo is situated on the second floor of a gated private property & with just 3 or 4 are available to rent, it truly feels intimate.
The entire unit was Recently Renovated & decorated to the very highest of standards with a large kitchen with granite countertops, white cabinets and tile backsplash, and a large center island which provides additional seating.
The open floor plan includes a dedicated dining area with a coffee bar, & an adjoining living room area, all with panoramic views of the ocean through a full wall of sliding glass doors that lead to an expansive deck with another dining area, lounge chairs & additional sitting area from which to enjoy the tropical breezes.
The two bedrooms each enjoy en suite facilities, & each also has a door to a second balcony with tranquil views over the condo’s tropical front gardens and private swimming pool.
Palacio Atlantico is protected day and night by full time security guards, and we have a very friendly and helpful manager who is responsive to our guests needs throughout your stay. A power inverter, upc internet battery backup and large diesel generator helps ensure availability of electricity.
Maid service is at the beginning and end of each stay, and if you are staying more than one week, cleaning will also take place at the middle of the second week and beyond.
We provide the Highest Speed Fiber Optic Internet available in the Dominican Republic. Just bring your laptop & take care of business or school work while looking out at the ocean. There is also a large TV in the living room to connect to streaming channels.
The Master Bedroom has a queen bed, and the Second Bedroom has a queen + a twin increasing sleeping options in full comfort to 5.
Kite Beach is World Rated as one of the Top 10 locations for Kite Boarding, Paddle Surfing and Stand Up Paddle Boarding. Horseback riding is readily available on the beach with many Yoga Locations (including beach), plus local gyms nearby.
You are literally “steps” away from long or short walks on miles of beach dotted with restaurants, bars and cafes along the way. As exciting as the Kite Boarding is to watch or participate in, our beach also has lots and lots of options for lounging and ocean swimming protected by one of the areas biggest natural reefs.
Just 20 minutes drive from the Puerto Plata Int'l Airport (POP), it’s easy to find us – Rent a car, or simply take an inexpensive taxi; all readily available.
Our guests have an advantage of great facilities near by! You can learn to kite board, surf, or stand up paddle board with Schools and Rentals located a minute up the beach. If you own equipment, we have a locked storage area for your use.
If those activities sound too energetic, you can simply walk the beach for miles, read books and enjoy the rhythmic sounds of the ocean, and then simply watch the kiters from the balcony, palapa deck or the nearest beachside restaurant, just 150 yards away!
The more touristy Cabarete Bay is a short stroll up the beach. Here you will enjoy many more restaurants and bars, additional areas to swim, as well as lots of shopping. More Kite and Wind Surfing Schools and Rentals are there as well.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The condo was beautiful and the property with swimming pool was very relaxing. Of course being able to walk out the door and have perfect wing foiling within feet was incredible. We look forward to next year. Thanks so much for sharing this treasure with us.

We had a wonderful time here! This is our third time staying in Kite Beach. We absolutely loved Michael and Alicia's place! The condo was so clean and bright and the decor was so tastefully executed. We had everything we could've needed for our stay. The guide book provided was extremely helpful and overall, the staff were superb! We had a bit of a long wait before we could check in but I think that was due to unforseen circumstances. We will definitely be coming back to Michael and Alicia's place! They were excellent hosts and great communicators.

2B Palacio is a beautifully appointed, comfortable, spacious apartment with excellent concierge attention by owners, Michael & Alicia and all the on premise staff.
Palacio is ideally located yet tucked away, quiet, private, peaceful. It is completely unique and a complete delight with sounds of the ocean, feel of the constant breeze, surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens, gorgeous ocean views. With everything to do (for every age) or nothing to do, whatever the heart desires!

Wow!! What a delightful pleasure to stay here. Gorgeous view, light bright main room, fully!!! outfitted kitchen (even a squeezer for lemons and one for limes. really sharp knives). Lovely long walks in both directions on smooth sandy beach. Afternoon and evening entertainment watching kite surfers. Nearby beach restaurants serves elegant sushi (try the Godzilla). Owner and manager are thoughtful and terrific communicators. Staff staying in building respond to any an all needs. Pool well shaded. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Wow! We have stayed in a number of VRBO properties and this one is by far the nicest we have ever been to. The property is exactly as described on a stunningly beautiful beach. We spent 1 month here and found the condo to be amazingly well equipped. Michael the owner was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions and provided us with lots of great information on the area. We had Marino take us to 27 waterfalls park and dinner at Wilson's. He was very reliable and friendly. Kathy was also very helpful in helping us to arrange outings and answer our questions. We absolutely fell in love with the area and its people. We can't wait to go back. Thank you to Michael and Alicia for sharing their little slice of paradise!

The view and location were perfect. There were a couple restaurants within 10 minutes walk. It was a nice quiet getaway, with amazing weather and a peaceful setting.

This is the second time we've stayed at Michael and Alecia's wonderful place. We loved it so much we came back for two months (staying one month here). The spot is unbeatable, steps to the beach, amazing gardens, quiet pool area and the unit itself is remarkably well equipped. Michael and Alecia are wonderful hosts and we had the opportunity to meet them in person. There are only 6 units in the whole building so it is always quiet. For kiteboarders there is a main floor storage room which is very convenient. The unit itself has been beautifully remodeled and is so bright and airy. And the view... watch the kites fly by sitting on the balcony overlooking the most amazing gardens. Kite beach has a wonderful community feel and we'll never stay anywhere else while visiting Cabarete. And of course, all the staff are so friendly and work hard keeping the property clean and tidy. We can't wait to come back!

My wife and I have stayed at40 + rentals around the world and we thought we had seen it all! Michael and Alicia’s place blew our expectations out of the water! They thought of and supplied everything imaginable. A hot and cold water dispenser and every appliance and kitchen tool that you could ever need! The balcony was well equipped with three sitting areas making room for everyone at all times to be comfortable. The bedrooms had a secluded small balcony overlooking the swimming pool which was perfect if you wanted quiet time! They supplied many many games in a very comfortable living room. Now for the property! A amazing view from the main balcony where you could watch kite surfers all day or if you liked you could go and watch from the dock or beach! The beach in front of the property was sandy bottomed as far in as you wanted to go! Having the pool in behind seemed strange when I first read it but after getting to the property we loved it! It always had a sunny area and a shaded area. It was secluded from the wind so was very comfortable at all times! The property is manicured beautifully, better than we have ever encountered! Now for the staff. Harley deserves special mention as he was so attentive as to help not just us but other staff and never with his hand out! Dilcia the lady who cleaned our apartment did a wonderful job! The owner of the property Michael was so helpful in so many ways to anything we had questions about and also about ideas about the area. About the area, we recommend Freddy for river fishing tours and Bliss for amazing dinners. Thank you Michael and Alicia for sharing a part of your life and hope to be back next year!

The condo was extremely clean and well appointed. My family had a wonderful vacation. Kite Beach is exceptional and lots a great restrauarants near by. Extremely quite and relaxing on our side of the beach. I would love t go to this place again in the future. Thank you Michael and Alicia for a wonderful vacation.

What an excellent place! The condo is perfect - second floor with a large balcony overlooking property gardens and an awesome view right onto kite beach (with all the colorful kitesurfer kites floating above the ocean). The hosts were super attentive and very helpful - they sent us all the required information to enter/exit Dominican Republic, transportation/food/entertainment info, and put us in contact with the property manager who helped us with all our needs on site. The condo is perfectly appointed - the kitchen has all the supplies you need to cook you own meals, including an outdoor grill, coffee machine, awesome gas stove, and plenty of appliances/utensils etc. The bedrooms and living room have excellent ventilation with huge ceiling fans, and the apartment has two lovely bathrooms which is a huge bonus when traveling with family. The condo is surrounded by lush paradise-like gardens, within which is located a sweet pool for evening and post-ocean soaks. We could have stayed for a month. Thank you Michael, Alicia, and Kathy!!

This condo is one of 6 in the complex so it feels very homey. The view is amazing and is located near tons of restaurants and activities. The hosts have made the place super comfortable with everything you could possibly ever need; from towels, kitchen supplies, cooking items and even toiletries. They have thought of everything! I would highly recommend this place ! It was perfect.

We loved our stay at Michael and Alicia’s condo. The condo is in a small complex situated on the beach surrounded by amazing gardens. The condo had everything we needed, even wine aerators! No detail seemed left untouched. The condo is comfortable and decorated beautifully. We came to kite and this is the best location, we’ve been coming here for years. The pool is also amazing and out of the wind nestled in the gardens. We will be back again and again.

The gardens are gorgeous, and provide a wonderful setting for the pool in the rear of the property as well as a stunning foreground for the beach—and views of the kite surfers—in the front. And Michael & Alicia have an attractive, comfortable home that met all our needs.
The bedrooms offer plenty of closet and drawer space to stow belongings, and the baths have spacious showers. There are lots of options for lounging and dining both inside and on the beachside balcony. The kitchen has every appliance, cooking implement, dishes and glassware one could ever want. Perhaps above all we appreciated the little details like the phone chargers on each side of the bed, high-quality bath and beach towels, basket of sun screen products [which we forgot to pack/buy], wide array of coffee bar fixings [including creamers in the fridge!], crazy variety of cooking spices, oils and vinegars, bevy of household items [from paper towels to storage bags, chip clips to bottle stoppers] and secure internet and Wi-Fi.

Last but not least, Michael and Alicia are extremely gracious hosts, both in their patience during our somewhat erratic planning [due to a family medical emergency] and their outreach during our stay. We’re already planning a return visit next year, but for 2 weeks!

Our favorites are Optimal (2 minute beach walk), Yalla (20 minute beach walk), and then Ceiba for an Italian fix and located in nearby Perla Marina (5 minute drive). Oh, and Coconuts on Hideaway Beach (5 minute drive). You can’t go wrong with this place!

This oceanfront condo has a great location, with an incredible ocean view, beautiful gardens, nice cozy pool area and very friendly dogs too! The inside is newly renovated with an attractive beachy vibe, great furnishings and is well stocked with almost everything you can imagine. Overall, we would highly recommend this condo!

If you want paradise, book this property! The Smiths provided us with exceptional service; from arranging airport pick up with Marino to helping us book Covid tests with Kathy, the property manager. From the moment we entered Palacio Atlantico we were in awe. The grounds were impeccable. The garden was lush and beautiful. When we opened the door to the apartment, our jaws dropped!! We had a million dollar view from the balcony. The apartment was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean! My family did not want to leave. This is truly paradise. Super thankful that Michael and Alicia shared their piece of paradise with us. We will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had such an amazing experience, the place was clean, bright, airy, and very beautiful with a breathtaking view!
Michael & Alicia’s place have the ocean in their backyard with a direct access to the beach. The kitchen and the house had everything we needed and more!
It’s in a quiet and private small community with 24/7 security. We felt save and very comfortable. The pool is beautiful and well maintained as well as their beautiful gardens. Let’s talk about the view…You are literally on the beach & what a great way to start your day with that amazing view.
The community is located a few minutes from Sousa and the center of Cabarete. It has a restaurant next door and many restaurants that deliver right to your door. Make sure to visit Waterfront Playa Alicia (We Went In Person) , Natura Cabana Restaurant inside Perla Marina (We went in person), Rugama Tours (We went in person) we did the rivers, Nature and lunch tour, Fresh Fresh Cafe (we went in person to both Sousa location and Cabarete location. , La Chambola ( We have pizza delivered ) Margarita Pizza was really good.
Michael & Alicia really paid attention to every detail, the home was so beautifully and tastefully decorated. They were very accommodating and very thoughtful, they even surprised us with a Valentine’s Day gift that we really appreciated and enjoyed.
We will definitely be coming back, but next time for a longer stay as we didn’t want to leave and it was hard to say goodbye to that beautiful peace of paradise that made us feel right at home for those few days.

The grounds were magical! My wife is a gardner so she was right at home upon arrival. The condo was spacious & clean and the views of the kites everyday offered quite a bit of entertainment. We enjoyed the secluded pool everyday and the beach for early morning walks and sunsets. Neighbors and staff were very friendly. It's a bit of a hike to town but still a great location, we look forward to coming back again!
