Great value for the money and very helpful staff

Good location close to public transportation and Southwark park

The windows only had blinds, not curtains, so there was a lot of light coming in at night.

Habitación poco confortable para una urgencia

Es difícil decir qué me gustó, ya que en general no me gustó el alojamiento. Lo único positivo es que está cerca del metro y cerca del O2 Arena, que es lo que nos interesaba. Por lo demás, no me gustó.

Lo publicitan como un apartamento, cuando es una habitación con baño y el resto son zonas comunes para las otras habitaciones. La atención que te dan es todo por escrito y la información que dan no siempre es precisa o incluso contradictoria, como por ejemplo la información sobre las penalizaciones. Tienes una sensación continua de poca claridad, aunque al final salió todo bien. La habitación es de malas calidades. La cama es pequeña e incomodísima, dos adultos normales no caben. El colchón se deforma. Se oyen los pasos de las personas del piso superior. En general poco confortable. Aun considerando que en general el alojamiento en Londres es carísimo, esta habitación nos pareció muy cara para lo ofrecido y por la localización. Para no repetir.

Clean and comfortable apartments near Surrey Quays

I had booked a budget single room and was upgraded to a very nice double room on the third floor when I arrived - a very pleasant surprise. The room/apartment was very clean and comfortable, and also quite spacious, with bedroom, kitchen/dining area and bathroom. I stayed only for one night, but I'd be happy to stay here longer. The receptionist was very friendly. The location near Surrey Quays was great for me because I wanted to be close to New Cross Gate, which is only one stop by Overground from here.

Exactly as the advert stated!

Nick who greeted me was extremely helpful about the area. The property is exactly as listed on the site It was so quiet, you could barely hear any road noise (I was on the top floor) there is no lift, but if you are ok walking up a few stairs it’s absolutely fine. The No1 bus service was cheap and so easy to use, I used it all weekend, even when the tubes were cancelled.

Disappointing

Location is very close to public transport

While we were staying there there were many things that went wrong and we are very chill people so at first we were like whatever, we can make do then multiple things went wrong. The biggest one was the oven did not work. I believe they may have fixed it once we left however nothing was done about it during our week long stay. The shower was very temperamental and was either boiling or freezing unless you really played with it. Despite listing there was air conditioning, there was not and instead we were given one standing fan, this could have been fine if the window opened more than it did but the design of the window wouldn’t let it. Throughout our stay we communicated with the staff about issues and for the most part they were lovely and accomodating, but if we mentioned anything going wrong we were met with patronising comments.

Not something to remember

The living room was OK and the beds were comfortable. The location was right next to bus station which was convenient. There was a park right next to the house. There was a mini market in the same block.

There was no one there to receive us. The room was not cleaned properly during our 7 day visit. The TV was in a place were you could not watch, The sink in the toilet was too small. We got a basement apartment, even though we specifically asked not to get one and our booking was 2 months early

Helpful staff.

Location was further away than expected and there wasnt much around the area, no atmosphere. Was quite difficult to get to. Area didn't feel very safe, someone was banging on our neighbours door at 3am and sounding very aggressive. When walking in the corridors were filled with dirty towels and linen on the floor.

Cramped bathroom facilities, Low water pressure in shower, 3rd flour! After 6pm check-in friendly but tricky in the dark. Expensive.

Basic accommodation with friendly staff but too many additional rules

The staff member who checked me in and out was friendly and efficient. She showed me the amenities and my room, which was clean but seemed to lack available spare sockets for charging devices.

Unfortunately, this location takes a refundable £100 deposit on check-in. This is stated up-front and was explained before I paid but I would still prefer to not have to budget £100 extra on top of the price of the room itself. The rules also did not allow for bringing another person back at risk of paying a fine. I would rather stay elsewhere and have more freedom in what I do and more money in my back pocket.

Great place with easy access to central London

We needed somewhere to stay at very short notice and this was booked in haste as there were very few places within our budget available for the nights we needed. We were therefore very pleasantly surprised when we got into our room. It was compact, but very comfortable and quiet. We were able to control the temperature easily, which was great as it was during snowy weather so to have a nice cosy room was very welcome. The kitchen was well equipped for such a small space, with oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. We absolutely loved the original features in the bathroom and as we were in the attic we had a wonderful view of the stonework on the roof from our skylight windows. While it's a bit out of the way, there is a bus stop outside with two buses that take you to the nearest underground station in 10 minutes, or an eight minute walk to the nearest overground station. Will definitely stay again.

The room layout was a little odd, with the wardrobe at the end of the bed, which slightly obscured the TV. It would have been much better beside the kitchen units and the TV moved to the centre of the wall with the table at the end of the bed. Also two chairs would have been good as one of us had to sit on the bed to eat dinner. I imagine every room has a different layout though, so this may only apply to this particular room and definitely not a deal breaker as otherwise everything was perfect.
