Very enjoyable.

Excellent evening meal, the chicken in jalapeño sauce was delicious . Enjoyed the pool.

There was a larger group before me at breakfast and most of the scrambled egg and cake were gone. You need to keep topping it up with fresh.

Wouldn’t stay there if someone paid me

It was my last night in Costa Rica, after long hikes and before a 30 hour travel home, my body hurt and all I wanted was a bath and to sleep early. i couldn’t even shower due to the water pressure, though I confirmed with them twice in advance that I would specifically have a bath (I booked a superior room for this purpose). The manager completely ignored my request to find a solution and didn’t even answer my messages in the evening. The next day they gave me a different room and it was also, totally unusable. What a disappointment and waste of energy. I would definitely not have come if I knew this would be the experience, even if it was free.

Hotel hat einen pool, Nähe Strand/ Bootsableger zum Corcovado NP

Standardzimmer extrem klein und Fenster nur zu einem innenliegenden Gang, dadurch fast kein Tageslicht. Je nach Lage des Zimmers gehen andere Gäste am Gang vorbei und können hineinschauen. Oder man zieht die Vorhänge zu, hat dann aber gar kein Tageslicht. Poolbereich etwas ungepflegt .

We had a nice stay, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and the grounds are beautiful.

The restaurant and staff were really great. The food was good, the rooms were clean and the grounds are very nice.

While the staff was friendly and responsive by email, it was very unclear whether the shuttle service to and from the airport was included as part of the price. It turns out it was not included, which is fine. However, when we arrived at the airport the shuttle did not show up and we had to take a taxi.

Very unique and cozy hotel. Felt safe nice breakfast!

Would have been nice to have access to ice. The employee working there went out of his way to scrap some ice together from the refrigerator which we were very grateful for! But there wasn’t an ice machine.

Great location when flying in/out of San Jose. Close to the airport but still a nice, relaxing spot

Comfortable stay but lacking knowledge on taxi details.

The room was good and quiet and the bed was comfortable.

I was told the wrong place to wait at the airport when transferring to the hotel. I was flying domestic but was told to wait for the taxi where international arrivals wait. The hotel later apologised. The hotel arranged a taxi for my last day of sightseeing. The hotel said the taxi accepted card payment, but that was incorrect. I had to find an ATM at the airport to withdraw dollars. The taxi driver was very good about it and waited until I found one.

overall a good alternative to staying in San Jose for pre night hotel before flying.

Beautiful grounds, exceptionally clean room, very accommodating.

I booked the hotel specifically to stay my last night there before flying out with the intention of having dinner and cocktails by the pool so I didn’t have to go anywhere but found out it was closed that day!

Green oasis in the city

The hotel is a quiet oasis with lots of green. Good place to stay for a couple nights in San José. The restaurant served delicious dinner!

Loved it.

Loved the fact that all the people at the front desk spoke excellent English. Spent about 5 days there. I had to go to the coast for a couple of difficult days, and when I cam back to Hotel Rosa it felt like home.

Nice staff but only stay here if you have a car and it’s not the rainiy season.

The spa facilities are very good

The site is very big and you continuously have to ring for a shuttle bus to get anywhere- the pool, restaurant or reception. The hotel is a long way from town- taxi cost $20 round trip. Food in the restaurant is not good, feels like eating in a school canteen. Nowhere to dry wet or damp clothes.

in the middle of nowhere. took a cab around 11pm (flight delayed). don’t think I would’ve found it driving a rental.

Nice cabana in lush garden. Good diner options nearby (e.g. sherries)

Breakfast could have been better. Bread was old. The bunk bed didn't have a railing, we were afraid our child would fall while sleeping.

A perfect stop off close to the airport

We didn’t explore much around the hotel because it was only a stop off for us at the start of our trip and the end of our trip. Both stats were great. Lovely clean and spacious rooms. Staff were very friendly, nice pool and sun beds we could chill on before our flight home. And also a good breakfast included and ordered lunch/dinner/beers too. I would stay again :)
