Extremely disappointing and a total waste of our evening and hard earn money !!!!

The breakfast was ok

We booked the hotel as advertised itself as beachfront and with parking , it had neither !!! When we asked if we could cancel our room on arrival as it was very unsuitable for my husband who has trouble walking we were told an email had to be sent to owner in Lisbon ?! 2 days later we are still waiting his reply ?!? The toilet was dirty when we entered the room, the staff shrugged it off as sand in the bowl ?! The balcony door did not lock as was broken and there was not even a glass in the room to drink tap water with as no complimentary bottle water on offer ?!

Localização boa, muito perto da praia. A fruta do pequeno almoço era muito boa. O hotel é muito sossegado. Ter um mini frigorifico no quarto.

Não ter restaurante. A funcionária dos pequenos almoços/ recepção ( não sei o nome) de uma simpatia artificial e com um aspeto pouco cuidado para quem trabalha com clientes. A pressão do chuveiro era quase nula e era muito difícil temperar a água.

Fantástica

O hotel é excelente! Quarto grande e confortável, camas boas, banheiro muito espaçoso. O café da manhã é excepcional! A piscina do hotel é muito boa e os atendentes são muito simpáticos e prestativos. Hotel muito bom para descansar! Fica um pouco longe do centro de Portimão, mas nada que não possa fazer a pé ou pegar um uber!

Loved the place.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was decent. The location was perfect as it was very close to the beach and there were markets and restaurants around it. Overall I would definitely recommend this place!

Très belle expérience.

L'hôtel est proche de la plage +-900m un peu à l'écart et donc au calme avec un joli espace piscine et jardin et quelques terrasses à différents étages de l'hôtel dont une au deuxième avec vue piscine.

Pas assez de place de parking dans l'enceinte de l'hôtel , mais il y a des places en nombres à quelques dizaines de mètres.

Das Hotel ist klein ,überschaubar,sauber.Die Zimmer haben eine wohnbare Größe.Hotel liegt nahe zum Strand,aber frußläufig noch etwas entfernt von der Stadt.Frühstück zählt mit zu den besten auf unsere Rundreise.

Alles gut ,es gibt nichts negatives zu schreiben!

Het was de 2 de keer dat we hier hebben gelogeerd . We hebben ervan genoten

het is een basis ontbijt maar alles is aanwezig! . Goede verhouding tussen prijs en kwaliteit. personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zwembad is zeer mooi en proper . Jammer dat het niet verwarmd is in het voorjaar .

soms was het druk tijdens het ontbijt en was er niet voldoende plaats om te zitten .Voor de rest was er niets wat tegenviel. Het is een aanrader

A lovely welcome on arrival. Room spotless. Very Good choice for breakfast.

We were visiting for the MotoGP which start early. It would have been nice to have an earlier breakfast on Sunday or to be able to make up something to take to the racetrack. We had to leave before breakfast started.

Localização muito boa, num sítio sossegado, e bem perto da Praia do Vau. O hotel é bonito, tem equipa simpática, pequeno almoço bom e com vista piscina. Os quartos são bonitos e limpos. O quarto tinha varanda com mesa e cadeiras para descontrair.

The price-quality it is fair.

It is like 10-15 min far away from the beach. There are also some restaurants nearby. The room was clean, the personal was nice.

The bed not so confortable, the rooms are a little bit old fashion, but we didn’t spend a lot of time inside, so it was ok in general.

A little gem

Small hotel, staff amazing. Location ideal short walk to beach. Near Alvor which is amazing . Had a lovely relaxed holiday. Will come back.

Lovely stay

Great stay!

Hotel Alcaide has a fantastic location and is a great value for money! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is always very kind and the pool area is fantastic. Great place to go as a couple.

Though there are a lot of options for breakfast the quality of the ingredients could be better... I would suggest reducing the amount of things and focussing on quality!

Overall it’s a decent hotel and gets the job done.

It was very clean and not too busy as it’s a small hotel. It’s really close to the beach (about 5 mins walk). There’s several restaurants close by too.

The mattress was really uncomfortable. The breakfast was not the best.

Excellent Value for Money

This is a lovely little boutique hotel, exactly as described, seems to be newly renovated, very clean, lovely pool, bout 5 minutes walk from the beach. We were able to order sandwiches and drinks while We were there to eat at pool. Great value for money. 12 of us stayed here as we were attending a friends wedding at another hotel, we had great fun. Good air con, good showers, Good hair dryer!!!

Nothing really. The hotel does not have beach views but it does not claim To have them. They are small run hotel so drinks can be a little slow.

Very good

Clean hotel, bright rooms. The stuff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and varied, high quality and freshness of products. It was important to find decaffeinated coffee and lactose-free milk. During breakfast, the staff actively served.

Only two sockets in the room, which made it difficult to charge several electronic devices at the same time, and no one socket near from the head of the bed. I did not like the look of the bathrooms, it was darker in comparison to the room. The door to the bathroom did not close well, the same problem was with the shower door. The sink faucet was leaking. The closet in the room was old with cracked paint and hard-to-close doors. Uncomfortable white sun-beds by the pool without backrest adjustment. The pool was a bit dirty.

Clean and Friendly

The room was clean and staff was friendly.

The bread rolls at breakfast were hard generic pre-cooked rolls you can get at Lidl. It would've been nice to have fresh Portuguese rolls from a local bakery. Also there weren't enough parking spaces for all the guests.

Good value for money

The hotel met the expectations, very clean, the room was big, a nice pool to enjoy the time there, very close to 2 wonderful beaches: Praia do Vau and Praia do Alemao. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is ok and there is a very good retaurant really close: Sal na Guelra.

The bed was very small for 2 persons and there was no refrigerator in the room.

Superb

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was quite big and had all the needed amenities, as well as a nice pool view. Location is close to a couple of nice, public beaches and a short uber/taxi ride to the other beaches.
