Belle Chambre - Restaurant à éviter

Lhôtel et son confort. La grandeur de la chambre, de la salle de bains et la vue. Le jardin.

La soirée gâchée au restaurant Thaïlandais qui n'en a que le nom, tellement c'était mauvais. Immangeable. Mais qui cuisine ??? Sans parler de la présentation... Des taxes en plus sur l'addition...? Très grosse déception. Le deuxième soir, nous avons mangé dans notre chambre. Sinon, il fallait reprendre la voiture pour une dizaine de km, voire plus...pour trouver un restaurant ouvert. Pas très cool. Le soir même j'en ai fait part au propriétaire. No comment...

Very good.

Very comfortable clean spacious room. Dinner and breakfast were good. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant.

Would have been good to have an alternative to the Thai menu if staying several nights.

Wunderschönes Haus mit prachtvollem Garten, bei dem Preis-/Leistung nicht mehr ganz stimmen

Das Haus ist wunderschön und inmitten eines richtigen prachtvollen Dschungels. Die Zimmer sind groß und recht passabel ausgestattet mit sehr komfortablen Betten. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht, aber auch manchmal (auch sprachlich) überfordert.

(Entfernten) Meerblick haben wahrscheinlich nur 2 Zimmer - und das Meer ist in rund 300 Meter Entfernung. Die Ausstattung der Badezimmer ist "in die Tage gekommen". Das Frühstück ist sehr teuer und hier passen Preis/Leistung wie auch beim Abendessen nicht. Die Lage am Meer ist zwar schön, aber auch nur für Ruhesuchende wirklich von positivem Nutzen.

Great place!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Comfortable rooms, excellent Thai food, great breakfast, and beautiful gardens. I would stay here again. Highly recommend Kells Bay House and Garden.

An amazing stay on the Ring of Kerry!

Staff was kind and responsive. On site Thai restaurant was superb. Don’t miss the garden experience. Spoiler Alert: Amazing waterfall!!

Stunning hotel and location

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location surrounded by gardens it feels like you have stepped in a exotic destination with the charm and confort of an beautiful classic Irish old style home

BEAUTIFUL

The location is amazing. We were able to walk down to the beach the evening we arrived, and before leaving the next day enjoyed the nature trails. I can't imagine how they must look in another season. The Thai food was excellent in the restaurant as well.

There was a smell like natural gas that was throughout the building. I think it must be from the kitchen, but it was noticeable.

A lovely relaxing stay situated in a beautiful location

We were travelling around Kerry during a very rainy week in July and stayed at the Kells Bay House and Gardens for 2 nights. The place is a real gem . The staff were very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed a lovely evening meal and 2 excellent breakfasts. The secluded location of the house set within beautiful lush gardens added to a very relaxing atmosphere. We especially loved the gardens and the subtropical species, which looked splendid even in the rain! A short walk to a local beach was also an added bonus.

We thought it was a pity that the first floor landing carpet appeared to have been damaged by muddy boots/shoes. Perhaps change to stripped wooden floors or have boot rack near entrance door . However we would emphasise this is a minor issue and did not detract from our overall excellent experience.

Private bath did not mean en-suite. This was kind of a bait and switch. Also we ordered breakfast after being told a hot meal was included in our room, yet at check out was informed hot breakfast was not included.

Beautiful spot in south Kerry

Great staff, delicious breakfast, gorgeous location with free access to the gardens, access to water/beach, private and quiet surroundings, beautifully decorated. Great food options throughout the day and evening in the Thai restaurant. Bed was very comfortable.

We were unlucky as the guests staying in the suite above us didn’t respect quiet times, and you could hear them walking/talking until very late. Also Wifi didn’t work in our room, but it did everywhere else, this seemed to be a recent issue. We discussed these 2 things with staff and they were very understanding and took note to try and fix it.

Amazing Aisling saved all the days

It was hard to time the breakfast around the sittings as all too late for us-starting at 9..butAisling was amazing to help us out with our last breakfast which made a lot of difference.She was amazing,extremely diligent and did the job of ten.The location with beach and gardens were spectacular

Buffet breakfast from 7.30/8 would be fantastic. Hard to contact and gain info about the surrounding areas and available transport before the trip. Garden room bit cold and gloomy.

Great stop on the Ring of Kerry

We had a lovely stay in the 2 bedroom studio to break our journey around the ring of Kerry. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal, and the breakfast and walked around the gardens and to the beach in the morning.

Our best roadtrip stay !

Our best hotel experience in Ireland! The place is exceptional, the huge gardens offer breathtaking views. The accommodation is carefully designed, the room elegant and comfortable. We were very well received and looked after. The Thai restaurant with its intimate setting is excellent, everything is homemade. The breakfast is also copious and qualitative. Ideal destination for a couple (but also for family with children). Thank you for this moment, we will return with pleasure!

a beautiful Gem in a stunning setting, with fabulous home cooked Thai food, I’m dying to go back again, loved it, Billy and his wife are most welcoming and have a passion for their beautiful amazing plants and trees, well worth a visit
