We had a wonderful stay in this historic Inn . They made us so welcome & lovely food.

It was a little gem and great to stay in such a historic place. But most importantly the staff were very welcoming & even though we were delayed arriving provided us with a wonderful meal and looked after us very well.

Perfect in every way.

The location is beautiful and remote surrounded by amazing countryside views and walks. The food is amazing! Good quality and cooked to perfection. The room was very clean and comfortable and had everything you need.

Approach roads are very narrow, bedroom has a very small window and was hot. (window needs cleaning!)

Little gem of a place

From the moment we arrived. We were made to feel very welcome. We had a large comfortable room and the supper and breakfast were very good indeed.

The only downside was a very creaky single bed in our room. My husband snores, so we will use twin beds if possible and every time he turned over the whole bed, made a lot of noise

Staff are very friendly and the service good. Both dinner and freshly cooked breakfast were very good.

Access is along very narrow Devon lanes and not easy to find without SatNav assistance.

Lovely stay

Lovely setting in the Dartmoor countryside, the room was comfortable, and it was great to stay in such an old cottage with so much character. The breakfast was lovely and ordered the day before to be served at a scheduled time. The staff and owners were very nice and helpful. They helped organise a taxi for us which isnquite difficult in such a remote location.

I didn't like that I was charged for a 2nd person on the second day. Maybe it was my mistake to choose a 2-person stay.

Lovely country side inn

We loved the old quirky aspect of staying in an inn that's around 800 years old. The pub was very fun. A traditional English pub. Beautiful surroundings. Also the inn keeper loves telling you about the history of this place. Also great English breakfast.

Exceptional

From the time we arrived until we left was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Superb

This is the quintessential English pub experience - what all pubs should be like. The food was really good and the owners were very friendly and accommodating.

The rooms could do with a bit of modernisation.

The floors in the Dart Room were especially creaky!

Not a nice stay at The Cridford Arms

Cooked breakfast ok.

We pick Cridford for its location (quiet). We booked a table for evening meal purposely as the inn was remote. The table was booked for 7.45. They had no steak, venison or anything else we fancied. We reluctantly chose fish & chips, which finally arrived at 9.45 not at all nicely cooked so we left it. The bed needs replacing creeks with every movement.
