Leuk hotel, erg kleine kamer

Het hotel is gunstig gelegen en het personeel is vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was prima. De pub beneden was een extra pluspunt: een leuke zaak waar ook veel locals komen

De kamer was echt erg klein. Met je koffers erin kon je er amper nog in lopen. Voor het betaalde bedrag viel dat tegen.

Très petite chambre pour une étape rapide à Saint Ives

L'hôtel est bien situé et est au pied du sentier qui mène au parking du haut de la ville (attention 10 minutes à pied de forte côte et escaliers)

La chambre était minuscule et ne correspondait pas aux photos présentées sur Booking. On nous a relégués dans une chambre mansardée que nous avons dû réorganiser pour pouvoir simplement ouvrir nos valises. Salle de bain très petite aussi, le lavabo étant en réalité un lave main de WC et quasi rien pour déposer ses affaires.J'ai payé plus de 400 euros pour 2 nuits. Par ailleurs, un créneau petit-déjeuner doit être fixé au check in et est le même pour chaque matin. Si ce créneau ne vous convient pas, tant pis ! Le bar au sol sous est assez sinistre. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel à part pour une étape rapide, sans enjeu

Fabulous location, a warm welcome from lovely staff.

Fabulous central location, surrounded by independent shops, High Street brands, art galleries, restaurants from fine dining to take aways, traditional Cornish pubs to harbour-side cocktail bars not to mention a few minutes walk to golden immaculately clean beaches and clear blue sea. St Ives is Bliss! The hospitality is 100%, Western's staff were all lovely, warm and welcoming. Our room was bright and clean. The breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice. Excellent public transport, I would definitely consider leaving the car at home next time.

We would 100% rebook this hotel, though with such a fabulous central location comes a level of expected compromise. Parking is limited. If you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs, or expect an early morning wake with the humdrum of activity with deliveries and refuse collections servicing local businesses, not to mention the sea gulls! Removing the flags attached to the front of the hotel. I know, it's baa humbug, from the street they look fabulous, flapping in the sea breeze . . . from a noise perspective, a constant nuisance. Installing permanent sustainable refill dispensers would be a positive swap for toiletries and condiments, less single use packaging waste. A breakfast menu card visible in the bedroom or on the table would be super helpful.

I liked that it was in the centre of st Ives and near the station so it was a 5 minute walk to get there. The room was nice and clean and comfy, breakfast was great and the staff were friendly.

Great holiday, shame about the transport!

Everything excellent, except due to rail strike we lost the fourth day as we had to leave a day early. GWR refused to pay compensation for the day we had paid for.

Nothing at the hotel, just with GWR.

The room was really clean and had everything you could want. The staff cooking and serving breakfast were really friendly and the breakfast it's self was lovely. Also the housekeeping staff did a great job. Would definitely stay again. Great value for money

I had a wonderful holiday in a well appointed room with friendly, knowledgeable staff.

The well designed, clean rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices. the staff was friendly and very helpful. Able to walk to most everything as hotel was central.

We were let down last minute by airbnb and were rescued by The Western! Staff were helpful and welcoming and the breakfast options were fantastic. Lovely hotel, great value for money, we were given a room upgrade (thank you!)
