disappointed

the staff was very nice and friendly

our room smelled like smoke, there were cockroaches in the room and overall felt very dirty.

Very nice and friendly staff, they helped me to organise a tuk tuk to Killing Fields for reasonable price. I also could store my bag for the whole day

Average place - I expected more.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke decent English. They allowed me to move rooms, when I asked. The rooms were of a decent size and the bed was comfortable. And the roof terrace offered a nice view of the city rooftops and the river.

Lots of small problems added up to disappointment. I was unable to connect to wifi for the length of my stay. The window opened onto a brick/iron fence and was right next to the kitchen exhaust. I moved to a room on the 3rd floor, where the view was great but the windows were extremely difficult to close once they were opened (I had to ask the cleaners to close them), and the door did not lock from inside the room. For security, I dragged the heavy wooden writing desk across the door at night. Also, the room had a refrigerator, but the plug did not fit easily into the electric socket ... and I did not dare to force it! It felt like the management was taking lots of short-cuts.
