We were at carlingford celebrating my nieces 30 birthday. Everything was perfect.

The location is absolutely amazing. The house is super clean and very well equipped. We were overwhelmingly with this property. Would highly recommend it.

Fabulous stay

Lovely cosy house in an amazing location. Kind hospitality from the hosts !

Nothing! The only thing I would say is that it is more suited to sleeping 7 when with family. Adding extra beds would make it a little tight but fine for a hen party!

Location perfect however many issues with the accommodation

I mailed the guest with our experience and all the issues we had with our stay. They were supposed to come back to me and they didn't. We unfortunately had quiet a few issues which affected our stay. I.e cleanliness, no toliet rolls, no heating working, the oven didn't work to cook dinner and it was unclean

Great spacious property in brilliant location.

Here with a big group this weekend and there was more than enough room for everyone. Great spacious garden to sit out and enjoy a few drinks in the sun.

Great location, beautiful house.

Loved our stay in The Retreat. Arrived on a cold winter’s day to a lovely warm house. It’s beautifully decorated with plenty of room. Bed was very comfortable. Location excellent, right in the village, two minute walk to the Square. Will definitely return.

Needs a thorough clean and refresh of all paintwork. Replace the fridge and all the furniture

Cleanliness throughout the house. The garden was completely overgrown. The furniture was literally falling apart. This is obviously a DIY do upper as all the workmanship was very shabby and not shabby chic. Very expensive for the facilities

Fantastic place to stay.

It felt like home. The style and decor was shabby chic but not to the extreme. Such a comfortable place to say. The locality is perfect. Near the village but far enough away from the noise. The host was very responsive and very accommodating.

Enjoyed our stay at the Retreat in Carlingford.

Location was excellent. Very close to the centre for bars, restaurants and little shops. Lots of activities were within walking distance.

Excellent accommodation!

The property is in a brilliant location, near to bars, restaurants and all facilities. It’s clean, spacious and suitable for everyone. It has a fabulous outside garden that you can relax in. The interior is fabulous.

Decor and location were great - size of property was perfect

Advertised as double and single in 2 rooms but there were only double beds. Camp beds available but not what we expected. Cleaning not great (sticky surfaces and floors, cobwebs and spiders in corners)and mattresses need to be changed as very uncomfortable

Weekend with friends

Location was great, right in the centre of town close to all the shops and other amenties. House was nicely decorated and felt very homely. Host was very helpful when we accidentally locked ourselves outside the next day.

Superb

House was great ideal for any family only short stroll to pubs/restaurant. Friendly neighbourhood cat that visited us every morning and stayed around. My dog had a friend during her stay.

Outstanding

Great house that facilitates really well for a group of people. A 1 or 2 minute walk to the shops/pubs - it’s location is brilliant. Anna Marie was quick in her responses when we had questions and the value for money was superb. Highly recommend.

Great location, could be updated

* location * space * good selection of kitchenware * has Sky and Netflix

* lots of lightbulbs needed replaced - main landing light didn’t work * windows could have be cleaned * wooden glass cabinet in kitchen had a really strong bad smell from it * decor could do with an update * beds very soft (personal preference)

We had an enjoyable stay at The a Retreat.

Location is excellent. Very spacious and comfortable house. Nice patio area with furniture.

Hair dryers were not working. Kitchen area could be cleaner, tea towel wasn’t fresh. Towels were dark colours, I prefer to see white or pale coloured towels in a rental property. All easily fixed.
