Maasai Simba Camp is the place to be!

My family and I had a great time at Maasai Simba Camp. The safari to Amboseli National Park offered by the team was a spectacular experience that we only can recommend! The food served was delicious and there were plenty of vegetarian options upon request.

Awesome, really miss the place. Will be back.

Breakfast was the usual eggs, sausage, toast, beans affair. Staff were lovely and always ready to help.

At night you could hear people in the tents close by, which made it hard to sleep one night because they were soo loud.

Our stay was remarkable. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at the camp.

We stayed us a family and enjoyed our stay. We were very well received on arrival. The buffet breakfast was well done, nicely served and had adequate variety especially considering the location in the wilderness. We enjoyed every bit. The other meals, Lunch and dinner were also well done and enjoyable. The packed lunch to the park was very good. Our driver to the park (Tom) was very good and knowledgeable and patient especially were the animals in the park we hidden. He helped us wait until six Lions moved passed right in front of our vehicle. A remarkable experience indeed. The borne fire at night served us well and especially the night where the service crew performed some dances.

The chef needs to home his prowess on making Ugali.

Genuine and charming experience of African nature and Maasai culture!

Fantastic staff, native Maasai who very generously shared their knowledge of nature and wildlife. We especially enjoyed the daily bush walks around the camp where we came close to native animals such as giraffes, zebras, deer and many beautiful birds. Wonderful! Good food in a nice homey setting with cosy bonfire under the great starry African sky afterwards.

It is simple and rustic but comfortable with running water but not reliable hot showers. For us this was not a problem.

The host Samuel was very humble and did whatever he could to make our stay pleasant. location is good for one night stay between Amboseli & Nairobi. Food was surprisingly amazing.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The food was fantastic. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It was exactly as advertised.

We broke down for 4 hours on our trip to the park in the vehicle we rented from Simba Camp for the day. It was disappointing as we spent quite a bit of money to enter the park, and spent 1/2 the time in the park waiting for the vehicle to be repaired. Breakdowns happen, but it was still disappointing.

I loved every moment in this rustic, relaxed informal camp which serves delicious food!

I loved Maasai Simba Lodge from the moment we arrived. The camp appears basic but it has everything you could want in a very relaxed, informal manner. The staff are really lovely and the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were all exceptional. There is a lovely cosy, fire-lit tented area which serves as a great place to relax, read and or play mancala with the local Maasai. The cloudless sky is amazing and the stars are a wonder. I have never seen a more awesome sky than during our visit. I must say a big special thank-you to Kwenia, a local Maasai man and our wildlife guide who took us on a walking safari in the mornings and evening. We were very lucky to watch bushbabies (galagos) by torchlight and observe Verreaux's eagle owls in the nearby trees, as well as walk alongside countless giraffes in the surrounding area. We also saw gerenuks, kori bustards and multiple other species on foot. This was a lovely place to stay and I only wish we had stayed there for longer.

The only minor negative is the distance from Amboseli National Park (>1 hour drive from the Kimana gate).

It's a ways from Amboseli so the ride there for the full-day safari takes a little while (45m or so). The surrounding area is a little barren but there's still animals to see and the sunset is gorgeous

Excellent location Brilliant morning and evening walks to see Giraffes and lots of birds, like hornbill, weaver bird. Visit local village Great driver and guide for Amboseli Food quite good, in a lovely setting Brilliant fir kids ( we have 4)

Really lovely few days.

Good, simple food, friendly staff who were keen to engage with guests, peaceful location, pool is chilly but my kids enjoyed it, trip to the local school was lovely, great day in Amboseli. Highly recommended!

The the camp and atmosphere were amazing and food was delicious! The staff was very helpful and they helped us to organize our trip back to Nairobi. The camp was totally new experience for me and my friends and it felt like a true African adventure. The walking safari was cool and we saw a lot of animals like giraffes very close by!

There were some bugs in the room but I guess that's pretty normal since were in the middle of a savanna and it was raining.

The payment inconvenience. I paid online immediately after booking, but apparently, they prefer one paying at the facility. Please don’t pay through the booking.com app. Pay at the facility for convenience purposes.

Superb

All the staff is really kind and they treated us with attention. They helped us organize our arriving and departure from the place. The camp is really beautiful, surrounded by marvellous nature landscape. It is like doing camping in the bush with some confort and facilities! We can see animals like zebras and giraffe just by taking the nature walk with the Maasaï. The safari at Amboseli was perfect.👌 The food was really great. Good African dinner. Really good spaghetti. The pancakes was also delicious.

Wifi was working well only the first night. Coffee was Nescafé...
