Schönes Hotel für einen Stopp in Monteverde

Das Zimmer ist wirklich schön groß und sauber. Alle Fenster haben ein Fliegengitter damit keine Moskitos rein kommen. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet

Great for short stay, food and staff are the best.

Friendly and warm welcome. Delicious breakfast plated beautifully. Easy walk into the town and short drive to lord of activities.

Needs updating. On very noisy/busy street. Minimal air movement in the room we were in, fan would’ve been nice.

Our stay at Mr. Freddy's B&B was nothing short of fantastic! From the warm welcome by Mr. Freddy and his family to the breathtaking Mountain View from my balcony, every aspect exceeded my expectations. The breakfast options were delicious and varied, providing a perfect start to each day of exploration in Monteverde. The room was impeccably clean, and the balcony with its comfortable chairs and outlet plugs was a delightful addition. The location couldn't have been better – just a stone's throw away from Monteverde downtown, yet offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. What truly sets this B&B apart, however, is the hospitality of Mr. Freddy and his family. They were incredibly helpful, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable throughout. I can't recommend Mr. Freddy's B&B highly enough for anyone visiting Monteverde. Thank you for an unforgettable experience! ☺️ ¡Mi estancia en el B&B de Freddy fue simplemente fantástica! Desde la cálida bienvenida por parte de Freddy y su familia hasta la impresionante vista a la montaña desde mi balcón, cada aspecto superó mis expectativas. Kind helpful hosts made this a wonderful stay in Monteverde

We loved everything about Freddy's Place. Freddy and his wife make wonderful breakfasts - the best we had in our 3 week stay in Costa Rica - lots of choice, well presented and very tasty. The room was very clean and had everything we needed - we could also sit outside on the balcony. The location was a 6 minute walk into the town - a bit of an uphill coming back from town but we could manage it and we are 70+ year olds. Freddy works hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible and gives you all the information you need about places of interest etc in the area. Highly recommended - pura vida Freddy and his wife.

Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt!

Wir wurden von Freddy begrüßt. Er hat eine sehr herzliche Art & hat uns direkt die besten Tips für unteren Aufenthalt in Monteverde gegeben. Die Unterkunft ist zwar sehr einfach eingerichtet aber sehr sauber.

Very nice and comfortable room. The owner Freddy received us warmly, he is extremely friendly and always ready to advise and help. It was no problem for him to prepare the vegan breakfast for us and it was outstanding! Freddy also organized a bird watching toure for us. The experience with the guide Samuel was unforgettable since he is very knowledgeable. We leraned a lot on this tour with him. We are just very sorry that we stayed only one night.

Craziest quality/price ratio I’ve ever seen

Lovely place where the owner and his lovely family make sure to take very good care of you. Also, best breakfast I had in my entire stay in Costa Rica, and my room was very clean. Wifi worked well. They have very affordable and fast laundry service which was also very convenient. Thanks again for your welcome and good advice. 🙏🏼

Good Location. Supermarket, Restaurants etc. Was in Walking Distance. The best Part is the nice owner! He gave us nice information Not only about Tours in Monteverde but also for the rest of our Trip across Costa Rica! And the Breakfest is delicious!

The best possible stay. Amazing host

You feel so welcome and genuinely met by Freddy the host. We experienced a lovely introduction to the city and received help booking adventures. The breakfast was excellent, fresh and with lots of choice. The shower head had a strong pressure and wide range with hot water. Freddy is such a caring and genuine person. All in all a perfect stay for us.

the photos on booking are smoke and mirrors. I don’t know how they managed it, but hey don’t resemble the property. it is very basic and unimpressive. Room had no AC, but it also had no fan. it was so stuffy and hot my friend and I left

Perfect place to stay for a few days

First of all, the host was really welcoming. We sat in reception whilst I checked in and was offered free coffee or juice and then explained what to do around the area and a little map too. The breakfast each morning was amazing and again the host always remembered my name which isn’t a lot but shows that he cared and goes a long way. Room was spotless and had everything I needed including a safe and fridge. Close by to restaurants and supermarkets too. Would definitely recommend.

A wonderful family operates the facility. Genuinely friendly and helpful.

We ordered a shuttle service through the hotel and it saved us about half the price compared to ordering it online.

The room door lock was a little difficult.

Just Perfect!

Our stay at Freddy’s Place was simply perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for any more - from the fantastic welcome filled with many great recommendations, to the most delicious breakfast (and especially banana pancakes) you will eat during your holiday! We loved the family run aspect of this hotel, and nothing was too much to ask. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for your trip to Monteverde!

The owner was very nice, he gave us a map and explained the area. Breakfast was very good and tasty. Location also good, 10 min walking distance from the center. Wifi worked properly.

The room was close to the street, so we could hear cars passing by, maybe windows should be better. Also an Ac would be great, at night was a little cold, at least during our stay. The room was actually not bad, but overpriced.

Simple place just outside of town

Eddy’s place has excellent customer service with a good location. The breakfasts were the best we had in Costa Rica!

We were a little surprised by the overall look of the property and even drove by it twice thinking there is no way that’s it, even though we saw the sign. The pictures online are quite different than what is there. Not sure why there is a glaring difference. Room was quant with basic amenities.

The family is super nice and happy to help with anything you need! closing activities , shuttles, and good restaurant recomemdation. Great home made breakfast with options to choose from and really tasty! And best coffee in CR! Location is ok, not super centric but relative to the area it is pretty close, just need to be ready to climb up the hill or just take a taxi up.

I would recommend to change the hangers in the bathroom as they got old and the material is peeling and also the old towels. It is a bit noisy as locatiin is on the road and the motorcycles passing by are very loud.
