Very warm welcome, nice garden around the place, nice cottages, good food, nice location!
Most friendly welcome, run by 2 sisters and their brother. Very good breakfast. Close to the entrance of Arusha N.P. Possible to walk to the gate or rent a safaritruck with driver for a very reasonable price.
Not much I believe. Wear a sweater in the dining room because there are no normal glass windows.

Wonderful place for nature lovers
The Meru Mbega Lodge is beautifully embedded in the forests and located close to an entry gate of the Arusha National Park. The whole setup is very natural, one is surrounded by a huge lovely garden with lots of birds, butterflies and very interesting plants and trees. A friendly dog belongs to the team and is a good companion to the guests. In the neighbourhood, there is another beautiful lodge, facilities of both lodges are shared. Staff is extremely friendly and helps in organising tours. Food is excellent, everything is prepared very freshly, the value for money is really adequate. The Lodge is ideally situated for tours in the Arusha National Park and also as starting point for climbing the Kilimanjaro. There is a site for camping included in the compound, which looked wonderful - if you love nature. The rooms are in spacious huts, which are decorated in a natural style. Everything is very clean. I have visited the Lodge during the low season - despite the low number of guests, staff was very caring and made my stay unforgettable.
Warm shower did not always work, but staff tried immediately to solve the issue.

Beautiful place with extremely friendly staff
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. No request is too little or too large. The lodge is very tastefully designed and the food is great. Great location just next to Arusha National Park.

Very poor value for money.
The staff were helpful
The property is very over-priced. We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our 2 week trip to Tanzania and it was the worst accommodation by far. Whilst the restaurant and bar area was clean, the swimming pool was murky, changing area dirty and paths slippy. The staff are cheerful but the whole place is tired and whilst convenient for Arusha National Park, definitely not worth $96 dollars a night!! Compared to other hotels in and around ArushaIt would still have been expensive at $40 a night! We had 2 small bath towels, no hand towels, 2 small bottles of drinking water and the room was not serviced; meaning we had wet towels for 2 days. Stay somewhere else!

peaceful
The location of the lodge is amazing, right in front of Arusha national park, surrounded by nature. The staff is one of the best we have had during our travel and they really make you feel at home. The food is just amazing! In the morning they serve good breakfast and we had some amazing lunch and dinner as well. Also the staff helped us getting around and arranging some activities for Christmas days.
We could see that they were starting up after COVID and that not all the facilities were up and running, such as the swimming pool. while we were there they were taking action to fix this. The place can use some maintenance. This makes the price-quality a bit out of balance for the moment.
