Large, clean and comfortable room in a good quiet location

Very comfortable bed; large, clean room and bathroom. Handy desk for work. Good quality wifi

Several pieces of gym equipment were old and not working e.g. exercise bike; rowing machine

Fantastic location, great pool and gym facilities.

Took a while for hot water to come through taps. Approximately two or more minutes. Felt wrong to waste water.

Location central to what we needed. It was quiet.

Heater was very noisy and could not maintain the heat in the room. Had temp on heater set for 23 but dropped automatically to 17

Good mid-range

It’s a pretty standard not-new mid range hotel. Good location near the lakes. Quiet street, beds carpets towels etc all ok. Reasonably spacious room. Bit of kitchen stuff which is useful, nice quiet fridge and aircon.

Wretched low-flow shower. Soundproofing not that great and quite a bit of noise from upstairs.

It was a great location. It was well set up with a pool and gym and a very good restaurant.

The air conditioner was very noisy and no soap supplied for shower.

Comfortable bed! hot water & very clean

Broken fridge door & other fittings, poor supply of cutlery (no teaspoons) no washing up clothes etc! or toaster. Overall just felt unpleasantly mean in the organisation & supplies for the room

Loved it, great location and easy to get to Main Street.

Had a fabulous view.

The toilet seat was old and peeling, but clean. We told management about it and they were going to change it after we left.

Mount Gambier stay

Fantastic location on the edge of Crater Lake. Great views over the city. Comfortable room.

The place is getting a little tired & could do with a bit of updating (especially in the bathrooms). All perfectly serviceable, just not very modern.

Nothing spectacular.

Room was fairly large. Lots of space. Beds were comfortable. Had a microwave.

The room had an extra desk but no dining table, which made meals slightly awkward. Also all surfaces were covered in a layer of dust and grit, which had to be wiped before use. No toaster. Inefficient use of space.

The stay was good, beautifully positioned over looking Mt Gambier. The room was very comfortable.

Central position a bonus, quiet locale. Clean room with large bed and TV. A great spot near the lakes for the walking enthusiasts, very convenient.

Negatives - The toilet paper holder in the toilet - for an executive room this item was useless; also the tissue holder in the bathroom. Personally I do not like the automated soap dispensers, again for an executive higher priced room you would expect better and more personal items. And a pity the restaurant wasnt open during such a busy tourist time.

The Lakes Resort is a well maintained older motel that I have returned to each time I have been in Mount Gambier. Rooms are clean and well presented and the location is quiet at night. We will be happy to return to "The Lakes" when we next visit Mount Gambier.
