Perfect little hostel

The most amazing staff. Everybody was absolutely lovely and helped with everything. Even before we even arrived or checked in. Whenever a question arose, it was quickly solved. You can book tours and shuttles at the hotel. The room was small but very clean. We really enjoyed our stay! (The Soda two doors up the street was absolutely amazing, too.)

Die Freundlichkeit der Besitzer

Die ganze Unterkunft war untersten Niveau. Keine Ahnung wie die Bewertungen so gut s ein konnten. Zimmer so klein das nicht ein Schrank oder irgendetwas anderes zum abstellen bzw. ablegen der Sachen vorhanden war. Betten total durchgelegen. Bad mini, ein Nachttisch, ein plastestuhl. Frühstück nicht zu genießen, außer das Obst. Auf der Straße vor dem Fenster fuhren die halbe Nacht laute Motorräder.Selbst für " den" Preis kann man mehr erwarten.

Good for a 1 or 2 night stay

Its a place that is located really central, the people are nice and are very helpful to help you with everything.

Everything is quite basic, from the room until the food. For what its worth its a bit expensive for what you get. Breakfast for instance 3 half of slides of bread, bit of butter and some fruit. The same goes for the shower, its really hot and hard or cold and a soft shower no in between. The bed, warm or cold sheets.

I liked how attentive and helpful Jeremy was with things like providing the different options for tours, travel and where to eat, even suggesting the cheaper budget possibilities.

The owners were really lovely and it was a great location

The shower didn’t work very well. Lots of bugs crawled out from under the walls, which wasn’t very nice

Good price, nice views, good location

For the price, everything was amazing! The rooms upstairs had great view of the mountains and the town. The terrace was spacious. Jeremy and the rest of the staff were very friendly, helpful and responsive. It was close to downtown. With everything being so pricey in Monteverde and in Costa Rica in general, I'd definitely recommend this place not only for the price, but also for the hospitality.

There is no WiFi upstairs. No one told us about it when we booked a night there later. Luckily I had some data left and had to share it with my wife through hotspot. The pancake breakfast was too light. It was only 3 regular pancakes per peson and a plate of fruits. However, they served a different breakfast next day with toast and scrambled eggs which was nice.

Great family run B&B. Jeremy the host is lovely and has a lot of information available for you about Monteverde and Santa Elena areas. Very central in Santa Elena with parking and easy access to all the main zip lines or cloud forest. Rooms basic, but for the price are food value and especially with the breakfast included in the price.

Superb

Very friendly stuff, Jeremy gave advice on activities and made some reservations for us. The room was small, but clean (without fan, but not required for the temperature at night). Excellent price-performance-ratio including breakfast, thus I totally recommend to stay here.

The most perfect introduction to Costa Rica and a wonderful experience.

Wonderful hosts, and the breakfast is beautiful. We’ve cooked our own dinners a few nights we’ve been here and there is everything you need. Close to everything, and you’re able to book busses to both cloud forest reserves through the host.

We’ve loved every minute, so nothing negative to say.

Had a great stay, much thanks to Jeremy who was amazing, super helpful and friendly. We booked our activities through the hostel and I would definitely recommend that. The lady who made the breakfast was also super welcoming and friendly. Clean rooms and a patio with beautiful views. Would really recommend!

Cozy with a great view

Lovely hosts, very helpful and friendly. They even made us sandwiches to take on our onwards jounrney early in the morning. The resident cat and dogs are friendly as well. The room was cozy. Good view from the terrace over the valley to the other side of the town and the mountains. Tasty breakfast.

Really pleased we found this place, well located and with lovely staff and a great view from the terrace.

Good sized room with an outside terrace and wonderful view. Super friendly staff and great breakfast. Shared use of the kitchen once breakfast is finished (cooker, kettle, coffee maker, fridge)

Bunk beds were pretty hard. otherwise it’s a great place

Lovely family run place, great breakfasts, felt safe, owners very knowledgeable and helpful.

loved our host Jeremy and his mom who own and run the hotel. super nice, attentive and helpful/knowledgeable about the area.

It would be nice if there was a spot to take our clothes out of our bags-hangers or some shelves and maybe some decor in the rooms, but these are little things.

We had a lovely stay at this hostel! The rooms are nice and very clean. We got a very good breakfast that was made with lots of love from Jeremy and his mother. Even this morning when we were in a hurry they arranged the breakfast so quick for us that we didn't have to leave hungry. Jeremy helped us a lot with booking tours or finding the right public bus to our next spot. They were so friendly and nice with everything. You can just feel that it is a small family business, which we loved so much. Thanks a lot for the nice time. Best wishes from Luke and lea 😊

Well chosen stay.

Great location and super friendly hosts. Very good views and breakfast. Strong wifi. Friendly cat and dogs make it feel homey. Good indoor and outdoor space.

Great stay in Santa Elena - with parakeets

Very friendly staff doing a good breakfast. Nice view of Santa Elena. Helped booking guided walking tour. Kitchen with fridge. Cooked our own meal. There was a hefty rain storm the afternoon we arrived, some water entered the room's floor - but we were immediatly given another room. Spotted a few interesting birds passing by Nuestra Kasa.

Cold and damp (unusual apparently), hard to dry wet clothes. Missing drying facility given the local climate and how guests and their gear become wet in the rain.
