The property was "as advertised" and highly usable by our family of 10. Plenty of space for dining together, hanging out together or in smaller groups. The beach was great for the little ones with shallow sandy water that made it easy for them and the adults watching them. We've already booked for next year!

This was our second stay at Pelican Pines. The first stay in 2022 was great and this one was even better. Stacy and Mike are excellent owners and want to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. The home is suburb. Very clean and spacious.
The first floor layout is perfect and great for hanging or entertainment. There is an upstairs bunk room that is perfect for preteens or teens. We had two different families at two different times totaling 10 and it was perfect.
The yard is great for all sorts of activities.
Pelican Lake is challenging with it's depth but the water quality is excellent and a great beach area. Especially for young kids.
The only challenge is the upstairs couch is so comfortable that you may not be able to stay up if you are watching a movie!
Overall a great place to stay that kind of feels like your own for your stay. Really great spot for family and friends.

This place was amazing. Perfect place to unwind and plenty to do for the little ones. The beach was great, very shallow for the kids to play. Basement games were great and an amazing kitchen if you enjoy cooking. We will definitely be back! Owner and her staff were on top of any questions we had as well.

A group of ten friends spent two nights here and had a wonderful time. The property could not be more beautiful and the accommodations were gorgeous. We appreciated the quality linens, towels, and furnishings. 5/5 on all accounts! We loved it!

This is the second time we have used a home of Stacy's for our bridge group. There are no surprises other than the home being even more lovely, and family friendly, than the pictures depict.
The home is very up to date, clean and well maintained inside and out.
We were a group of 8 in our 60-70's loving every detail, but the house could easily hold multiple families with room to spare and activities to keep everyone busy.
Do not miss MN Traders coffee/wine shop in Pequot Lakes. New pleasant decor, great for coffee, lunch, or a glass of wine later, and great work spaces.

Top VRBO rental doesn't do it justice. This place was incredible, and had everything we needed. Gigantic place, great for entertaining multiple families or a group of friends on a golf trip! Huge fridge, double sinks, double dishwaser, built for entertaining! Might have to make this place an annual trip!

Amazing, wonderful, perfect! The house, the yard and the lake were truly perfect for our 4 generation group, but would be ideal for any group Stacy was very easy to work with and always prompt with answers to questions. Our adult children (who are all parents) said that this was the trip of a lifetime. Lovely setting to have lots of wonderful family time together.

If you’ve seen the VRBO commercial that says, this ‘is where memories can be made’, it is spot on for Pelican Pines. Everything about the home was as advertised or even better. The “cabin” was as comfortable a home as I’ve ever rented. The kitchen to dining room to grill to sitting area is so comfortable, convenient and nice. The master bedroom is as good as it gets for a cabin and maybe my favorite was the “kids wing” or the 6 beds upstairs above the garage. It was their own space but so easily connected to the main living area, where they didn’t feel far away. The downstairs is spacious too with another great living area and bar. The yard is big and nice; perfect for whiffle ball, frisbees, whatever you’d like and the beach area was very comfortable. Ownership and the property management is great and overall it was just an easy & very enjoyable place to stay / relax / have fun. I wouldn’t hesitate to pull the trigger on Pelican Pines and know you will have a great time.

Amazing!
Pelican Pines was fantastic! We had a big group of family there and had plenty of space and activities for everyone. We enjoyed the lake, the boat and the backyard. The beds were all comfy and there were plenty of towels (beach and bath). It was a fun week!

Amazing property, GREAT cabin!
A group of good friends playing golf at Breezy Point. Great location, short drive to the courses and restaurants. Mission Tavern is close by and had great food. Cabin is amazing with tons of space and lots of amenities. Beautiful beach and backyard area, lots of room to spread out. Owners are attentive and quick to reply.

Winter Wonderland!
Such a lovely place. More than enough room for all of the guests to sleep, lounge, eat, cook, play! The home was beautiful, cozy yet spacious. Our favorite moments were sitting on the couch in the living room and looking out the large windows, as well as eating all together at the kitchen table. Such a great weekend!

Completely perfect
Communication was the highlight of our 10/10 stay. We will be booking here again asap! This property is even more spacious, comfortable, and luxurious than the pictures can capture.
The first night we arrived we suspected the heating wasn't working -- common problem in the winter! We were comfortable enough with the fireplaces and blankets to sleep through the night. The next morning I called the number on the listing, and within an hour the heat was fixed. This service (like everything else) was prompt, professional, and made us feel very welcome.
The kitchen was equipped way beyond expectations, and the basement activity rooms kept us amused even in the cold.
Our stay was the perfect family trip, and it wouldn't have been close to as good if we had booked anywhere else.

NYE celebration
Thank you so much. We have an amazing weekend at your place. It was beautiful and perfect. My family gathered around my dad (who has now entered hospice after a hard battle of pancreatic cancer) in the warmth of the fireplace, opened Christmas presents while the sun set, tromped through the snow and sledded down the side yard in the arctic (-30) weather, built a bonfire to keep warm, battled for victories on the ping pong and air hockey tables, rung in the new year at the bar area and gathered around the dining table to share meals. It was a sacred time our family will forever treasure. The house was immaculate, top quality, and every detail was thought through. Easy to arrive and settle in, hard to pick up and leave. The check in and checkout processes were well communicated. We were honored to stay in such a wonderful place. Our group of 2 grandparents, 6 adult children/spouses, and 9 grandchildren (including teens down to toddler) stayed very comfortably. Thank you and God bless you!

We were gathering for a weekend to get out bearings on a future trip and used this home as the launching pad as well as an extra night to enjoy the area. It is appointed exactly as described and well deserved of all the excellent ratings - must stay for families!

Wonderful retreat!
My family and I visited the property in autumn 2021. It is a beautiful location with tons of room to spread out and lots to do. The house itself and lot are beautiful. We were relatively close to Nisswa and other towns, and had plenty to do. I had no difficulty communicating with the owner. I would highly recommend this VRBO!

Great trip for three generations
We had a great week up at Pelican Pines. Having so much space, two dishwashers and a games room with air hockey/ping pong gave everyone the feeling of being on a fancy vacation. Plenty of places for people to find quiet space when needed and for the whole group to come together for meals at one table. The kids loved the games room and loft, and the grownups enjoyed the mammoth couches and deck with lake view. Grandparents appreciated the master suite with private deck area for quiet mornings as well.

Fun Week/Beautiful Home
This is a large beautifully decorated home with a bright sunny spectacular view and lots of fun games. They also have a beautiful yard and high end kitchen. We had a great time and highly recommend it. That said, a few minor things were not as expected or didn't suit our needs exactly. None of them a deal breaker, but helpful to know. 1) We didn't know the boat wasn't connected to the dock. Someone needs to wade out in the water to access it as it's on a separate platform further out. 2)There was some wear and tear on the beach lounger cushions and the beach itself was not raked or groomed. 3)The grill was great but was very dirty. Not sure it had ever been cleaned inside or out. 4) There were no umbrellas for shade at the beach or on the deck tables although the tables had holes for them. 5) The internal/external sound system hardware that was advertised had been removed. 6) The satellite TV would not work on the main level. 7) The bedroom setups were not ideal for families who want to keep their little children nearby. The bunkroom looked great for older kids. 8) With the air conditioning @ 72 degrees on the main level the lower level gets very chilly. Our family ended up moving upstairs to sleep due to the cold. 9) The cream colored sheets in the master were clean, but should have been replaced as they were stained orange all over from being washed with colored fabrics. 10) The curtains in the master are motorized and use a remote but did not work. We couldn't open them and lost out on the view and patio door access which would have been nice.11) There were also a fair number of empty sockets or burned out light bulbs that should have been replaced before we arrived.
This could easily be a 5 star+ rental with just a little more attention to detail inside and out...it's darn close! It's a great property!

Perfect Away!
Owners were very pleasant to work with! The house was beautiful, fully stocked kitchen where we made a large brunch. Table that seated 10 so everyone was included.
Water toys available like paddle boards and kayaks. Water by dock was very shallow and sandy. Perfect for just lounging and chatting or kids!
Area is great, they have a shuttle service that will assure safe transportation and fun MN Lakes dinning close by!

A Perfect Escape
My friends and I wanted to get away and spend some quality time together and this place was perfect! The owner was fantastic to work with and the property was absolutely beautiful. Family staycation up north
Pelican Pines Lakehouse is a beautiful property! The house is well cared for and extra supplies (if needed) are available. The house is clean, comfortable, spacious but cozy, and has many great amenities. Shopping and restaurants are nearby as well. Making a reservation was a quick and easy process. The owner sent a very detailed packet of instructions upon arrival with all kinds of helpful information during your stay as well as instructions for departure. We enjoyed a great weekend of family time together in beautiful surroundings. Couldn't ask for more! You won't be disappointed with this property!

Lovely Cabin Getaway + Some Tips For Future Stays
Positives:
The cabin was absolutely perfect for what my gals and I were looking for. It was a spacious and beautiful home with plenty of outdoor space for bonfires, kayaking, and dancing in the lake! The water is super shallow (like mid-calf height) for the entire length of the very long dock, so even though the weather was brisk, got in the water with our sweaters and had fun dancing around. The host was amazing with communication and there were helpful pdfs emailed with directions for staying at the cabin. We weren't super close to a ton of places, but we intended to stay in and it was gorgeous walking around the neighborhood to soak in the fall colors. Everything we needed was there--tons of extra sheets, towels, etc. and basic kitchen necessities that we hadn't thought of. The rental came with a cute gift bag as well, so now we have fun momentos to remember our lovely weekend!
Negatives/tips:
• Oven dials were worn off so we couldn't know for sure how hot the oven was for sure. The host was so helpful with helping us though and there were instructions taped on the inside of the kitchen cabinets. Also, if the clock on the oven is blinking and not set, the oven refuses to work, so make sure the clock is working first!
•Two of the stove top burners didn't work. It would light, but as soon as we stopped pushing the knob for the pilot light, the gas would stop coming out
• no volleyball available as advertised on the listing, but so many other activities
• the host did ask us to only bring 5 cars, which we had to carpool to make work, as there is not enough room for more on their driveway, but they definitely had a long driveway that could fit more cars as long as no one is planning on driving around.
• not sure if the peddle boat worked and was just super slow or if it was broken. We ended up not using it bc we couldn't get anywhere with it .
• The sound system also only has an aux cord! If you only have iPhones, make sure you have a dongle to convert aux to iphone cord or bring your own bluetooth sound device. There are instructions that help you set up the sound system, but also know that the random twisty knobs around the house control the volume in each area. We didn't realize and were so confused as to how to get music to play in the basement.
• Wifi isn't the strongest, especially if trying to share with several people. Spotty phone service, but hey, that's cabin life!
