Comfortable house with great view close to the park

Good location with great views of the Hazards from upstairs room. Comfy bed :). Outside deck was lovely on days where the sun was out. The kitchen had all we needed and plenty of storage space for food etc. The fire heats the house easily once alight.

The only firewood supplied was a couple of large wet unsplittable blocks, and no newspaper, kindling or firelighters. This was a real disappointment. There is no upstairs bathroom, so need to navigate the spiral staircase down if you need to use the toilet at night. The upstairs floor is very squeaky, which may be a problem if you have guests in the lower room. The shower is over the bath, which is quite deep - may be an issue if you are not very mobile (fine for us)

Superb

Very comfortable. Excellent view from the balcony and top bedroom. We asked for two beds to be made up which was done for no extra cost. Recommended.

If I was to quibble the quality of the supplied firewood wasn't great but the was an a/c space heaters under floor heating and electric blankets so getting cold wasn't likely.

A few things weren’t perfect (no wine glasses, no welcome pack with local info), however, it’s a lovely house in an amaz

The location and views, very peaceful

It was cold in the bathroom. The weather was wet and cold when we arrived and there was no wood for the fire (It was provided on request the next day). There was an air conditioner that kept it somewhat comfortable, however that had to be turned off overnight. Perhaps offer some flexibility on the 3pm check in, since it is already an hour later than most places. We had to dodge a lot of animal droppings on arrival, which suggests that it wasn’t cleaned up that morning.

it was welcoming, comfortable and I loved the view from the upstairs balcony.

we loved everything about it but mostly the spiral staircase. it was warm and cosy. nice to arrive with the fire already going.

the only thing we didn’t really like was the bathtub that needs to go and put in a proper shower that is big enough for a bigger person. most of the places we stayed at had very small showers. not enough room to turn around.

Great set up

The property is well set up with amenities and the location is very suitable.

We were 2 over 70s staying and our bedrooms were up a very tight spiral staircase. There was no way we could get our luggage up the stairs, so had to leave it downstairs. It’s not the property’s fault but the back neighbour was burning off his rubbish and we had a house full of smoke as the windows had been left slightly open.

Rustic stone/timber cottage. Lovely raked ceilings. Great view from main bedroom, large floor to ceiling windows, and a deck. Beds comfortable, with nice linen. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great for family and groups of friends. Kitchen stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal.

If you like modern decor this may not be the place for you. Shower over bath could be tricky for people with mobility issues to get into, but step provided.

Limited amount of firewood supplied - had to scrounge around for pieces; Recycling bin already full when we arrived.
