Best place to stay on Madeira

Very nice, friendly and helpful hosts, they arranged warm welcome and always helped us when needed. The place was clean and big enough for 10+ people. Great view from terrace on top of the villa, we observed arriving airplanes in the evening. Close to the highway, so easy to get around the island from this place. I'd definitely recomend!

I wholeheartedly recommend the Residencia Ana. The entire upper floor was at our disposal. Large, well equipped kitchen, iron, washing maschine, everything we needed was there. The roof terrace offers a stunning view of the Santa Cruz, mountainside and the ocean. Wonderful, helpful hosts welcomed us with dinner after long flight. And Madera is the most magnificentl island I've ever seen.

We will come back!!!

Ana is amazing woman. She help us with everything we need. Her husband cooked very good and when we arrived in Madeira, Ana give a lift from airport to her house. It is very nice and quiet place. Not far you will have best beach in Madeira - Machico. We rent a car from Ana and explore all island. Definitely we recommend to stay in this amazing place.

Hope to come back...

Very close to the airport. Ana and Gabriel are great people. Ana picked us up from the airport in the middle of the night (we arrived at 1 am) and on the last day drove us back to the airport early in the morning without any additional fee. Freshly cooked by Gabriel, delicious hot chicken soup was waiting for us. Also we got products for breakfast waiting for us. And a bottle of home made wine! A terrace has a spectacular view on the sea and the airport. View of landing airplanes is great. The entire apartment is nicely furnished and equipped with all kitchen utensils including coffee machine, microwave oven and so on. Supermarkets and some pubs are located in a walking distance. The centre of Santa Cruz is approx 20 minutes walk from the Residencia. It's possible to rent a car from the hosts in a good price - nice Kia that manages really well on the Madeira roads. Ana and Gabriel are very very nice, helpful and hospitable. It's possible to order dinner and homemade wine, sangria and poncha from the hosts. Definitely recommend that apartment. Santa Cruz is a nice town with lovely restaurants. 30 minutes by bus from Funchal.

Very friendly, lovely hosts. Beautiful view of the ocean from the terrace on roof. Free transport from/to the airport. Highly recommended stay!
