Great base to stay, needs updating.
The location is superb, close to the glen/ pittencrief park and high street, pubs, shops were a local stroll away, Food shopping like Tesco was walkable and Aldi a short drive. Ideally based to travel to Edinburgh , using Park and ride, and car journeys to aberdour, stirling and Loch ore were pleasant and no more than 10 -40 mins away.
The property needs updating, the garden could be a paradise if some money was spent on it. The windows were original but over painted so impossible to open some, There is little to no storage space in the kitchen. The furniture is very dated, like from the seventies. If the owner spent £10,000 updating the property it would be worth the £110 a night paid as it is a fairer figure would be more like £70, i holiday regularly in the uk and have stayed in far better accomodation for less money, So just some honest advice to the owner, speculate to accumulate, and you will rent it out more often.

The cottage was quiet and convenient and provided a good base for exploring Fife.
The location was very convenient and parking was easy. The living room was well furnished with a very comfortable suite and big dining table - and a huge TV if we had wanted it! Beds were also comfy and WiFi was generally good.
Shower was very small and it was difficult if not impossible to prevent leakage of water on to the floor - which seemed to be in a bad condition as a result. Front door was very stiff. Would also have appreciated some information/advice about bins and recycling.

Second stay at Carnegie Cottage - nothing has improved since our last stay but still comfortable eno
Convenient location to town and amenities.
Carpets are getting a bit threadbare, struggle to open and close access doors, floor boards in hallway need fixing and shower facilities need to be improved. Suggest outside light for back door - stairs are lethal in the dark.
