Well restored hillside house with a great view

The downstairs room had a beautifully restored vaulted stone ceiling and walls. Breakfast on the veranda, overlooking the ancient city was special.

It was raining when we arrived at about 5 PM and I nobody answered the doorbell. I should have purchased a SIM that included phone service.

Fairly good

Very nice place and clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast was varied and good.

Access to house from parking = only 4 minutes… but many stairs 😉

The pleasure of feeling at home

The spacious and very comfortable room was built into the stone, with a small balcony from which you could see the city of Ragusa. In the common area a large table for breakfast and a covered patio with a beautiful view. But the most crucial thing was Luca's attention, very attentive and willing to help in any way possible. My recommendation is if you go by car, park in Largo San Paolo which is a few meters from the B&B, and ask Luca for the shortest way to avoid the stairs

Colazione con vista

Incastonata tra le abitazioni di Ragusa Ibla, nelle vicinanze un parcheggio all’aperto comodo e gratuito, la casa è accogliente, come anche il proprietario ed il figlio. Ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Ottima la colazione, impreziosita dalla vista del terrazzino immerso nel silenzio di Ibla al mattino. Non dipendente dal proprietario, l’accesso alla struttura è su una serie di gradini, non di facile superamento con un passeggino o valigie pesanti, ma il titolare è ben disposto a dare una mano senza che venga chiesto. Consigliato.

We loved our stay, definitely highly recommended

Luca is a wonderful guest, helpful and kind. La casa di Matilda is lovely house in the centre of Ragusa Ibla, full of character and beautifully refurbished only recently. Beautiful view on Ibla, peaceful and picturesque. You can easily park your car and follow Luca’s direction to the house; he even came and kindly helped us carry our luggage.

Stunning location, beautiful house and helpful owner.

The house is lovely. Our room had amazing views, was very clean and nicely decorated. Great breakfast on the patio overlooking the hillside village.

Loved this!

We just loved this wee gem! Communication with Luca was great ( he speaks perfect English) and after clear directions where to park our car for free near by, he escorted us to our accommodation. The property is adorable, such an authentic feel but with all the modern necessities and had the most wonderful terrace with a gorgeous view over the Ibla. Our room was a good size, lovely and clean with a really comfortable bed, air con, good bathroom and good lighting. Luca made a fabulous breakfast, fruit, breads, jams, yoghurt, croissants, cannolli etc, which we ate on the terrace in the sun. Thanks Luca, your place is gorgeous and a credit to you!

everything was good , the view was lovley,and the room was cosy and very clean and helpful staff . thay even help you with the luageges as you have to do some steps to arrive at the house . 10 min walk to the old city center.

Perfect location for visiting Ragusa and Luca the host was really helpful and thoughtful . The accommodation has been restored to a very high level of workmanship and still has character for the style of house . Lovely relaxing feel and would always recommend . This place made all those steps you take when visiting Ragusa worth coming back too each evening . Thanks Luca great place .

Perfect location between Ragusa Ibla an Ragusa Superiore, our host was super welcoming and gave us plenty advices for our stay in the wity. We especially loved the incredible wiew over the town of Ibla.

Great stay

Loved the location. The host was so helpful and responsive. He met us at the parking location and helped carry our luggage. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was very clean with a great view over the town.

The place is really incredible. Just with the beautiful view of Ragusa from our room balcony this B&B won me. But then the place is also perfectly located, the room was huge, clean and with a lot of taste. Wish I could have stayed a bit longer.
