Bueno a medias

La ubicación, la sensación de seguridad los camiones para muchos lados ,al centro y demás lugares.

El lugar tiene todo para ser un gran hostel ,espacio y demás amenidades ,terraza y muchas cosas ,pero la verdad está muy descuidado no tiene limpieza ni mantenimiento ,se vino el agua y entraba todo el agua a la habitación por el techo, había muchos cables de extensiones de luz tirados en el piso ,el cual es peligroso porque pudimos habernos electrocutado ,ay cocina muy completa con refrigerador y expendio de agua pero,huele mucho a perro el encargado tiene uno muy simpático y gordito ,grandote pero huele mucho a perro, De ahí en fuera todo bien...Marco el encargado es buena onda.

I’d stay here again for sure - enjoyed it!

Sweet and super affordable hostel. The guy who runs it is really nice, helpful, and accommodating. The kitchen had everything I needed. Beds could have been more comfortable in the dorm but had a fan for my bed and had good sleeps. Good location right beside the beach and a main bus stop right beside it as well. Access to a roof top was a good place to watch the sunrise and do some yoga!

I wish there was a designated smoker’s area away from the kitchen and main hangout place. There was a chain smoker staying there and every time he lit one I felt the need to move. I avoided the hammock anytime he was down there and wished I could have chilled without breathing in that crap. That’s all :)

It's a work in progress, but a great place to stay

Marco and his dog are really lovely hosts. The sheets are clean and smell good. The hostel is only a few blocks from a pretty quiet beach in the hostel zone, and there are some excellent local and more touristy restaurants really nearby. Whilst I was there, Marco was busy adding furniture to the common areas, and making it even more comfortable and suitable for meeting other backpackers. The bed in the female dorm is comfortable, and has its own fan. I had a great time here, but I can see how much potential the hostel has with a bit of sprucing up and extra cleaning.

It could definitely do with being quite a bit cleaner, although Marco says he is going to employ a cleaner soon. Hopefully he will do this sooner rather than later, because at the moment, I think how clean it is depends on how good the current volunteers are (and he has 3 brilliant ones at the moment). It all needs a bit of tlc, but I think he is planning on painting a few things and making it look good again. The beds could easily have privacy curtains added to them, and there definitely needs to be more power outlets/extension leads in the dorm. My pillow had split open and the stuffing was coming out, but the other one that was spare was incredibly stained. The fitted sheet for my mattress was fully ripped open on two corners, so the sheets and pillows could do with replacing.

Marco is great! Nice guy. Full of all the answers to the questions I had. Grateful for his kindness. Quiet location. Not in the middle of the busy city center but easy to access from local buses and everything you need is just a few steps away. Can recommend!

Pleasant

Very nice location. The area is quiet and lively at the same time and close to everything. You can find some of the best restaurants of the city around. I loved the way the house is built, its architecture, the colors, plants, hippie vibe. The owner was very chilled and had some cute dogs

It was not clean at all in my opinion and I felt like some stuff around the house were unfinished, I don't know it looked like the place was not well taken care of which is too bad because the rest is truly great. I am aware that the price is not high but still I have stayed in a lot of cheaper places and it was cleaned. It a must do for guests and I have worked a lot in hospitality.

It was quiet which was nice. It's a close walk to the beach and a bus station that can get you anywhere in the city. There are also cute restaurants around. The beds were comfy. It's also safe which is always good. WiFi was also reliable and fast. There's a bookshelf and games to choose from. And the kitchen is well equipped.

The lighting in the mixed dormitory wasn't great and there's only one plug that's usable which has to be used for the fan cause it's so hot. No hot water but that's fine cause it's so hot. The place could use a proper clean.

Great upgrade and great value

I like the dorm room is big, between the bunk bed has about 3 feet wide, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is big too, the kitchen has everything ready for your cooking, I cooked everyday during the stay, El Sunset Hostel did some upgrade like the gate at stair entrance, so the dog doesn’t get to upstair, more plants, fan for each bed and big lockers. The great value for your money, this is my second time stayed here, the first time I gave 8 out of 10 rating, this time El Sunset Hostel deserves 10 rating. The owner is a very nice man, some renters did wash dishes after using, he just washed no complaint.

Poor

Cute but smelly dogs. The building is really cool and the decorations are quirky

It was unbelievably dirty, the bathrooms smelled like pee (human or dog pee?), the floor was full of dust balls, the sofas in the common area smelled like wet dog, the woman's shower was just a pipe, there wasn't a proper shower head. It was so hot in the woman's bedroom and there were a million mosquitos. I slept like two hours overall because it was so uncomfortable. I think this hostel could be so much cuter and nicer if they just took the time to repair a few things and cleaned it every day (or at least every week!)

Good hostel with good vibes.

Good hostel with good vibes. Very calm at night so it's good to rest. The owner is so chill, if you have whenever you can ask him. Convenient location for buses to go around town and Sayulita.

I feel like it isba great place to relax and the patio is a great place to socialize

A spacious place with courtyard, beautiful patio, hamac snd plants! A very friendly and cool easy place to be! if windows to open with fresh air :) Safe area with cafes and everything you need around..in Las Glorias Versailles area closed to Hospitals as well…

I was in the women’s dorm and the dogs across the street bark at times and you need some good ear plugs to sleep with some cars driving on stones streets.

Disappointing

Price was reasonable but you get what you pay for

Staff not friendly and barely showed me the facilities, looked like they only cleaned the bathroom once I was there and not even once for the dorm room. It was also too hot and not enough fans. One girl hogged the fan for herself. Kitchen had cracked cups and plates and ants on work surface. Locationwise its not near much. The beach there is so so.You are better off paying more for a better hostel and location. I did when I moved to centro area.
