Disappointed

The Yandina Hotel is in a great location. It's easy to find and the staff are very welcoming.

When we walked into our room, it looked great but after we settled, we noticed that the ensuite drain smelled awful. We had to keep the door shut to reduce the offensiveness. The toilet and shower fixtures were old and rusty. Such a shame. The carpet was vacuumed around the bed. I sat on the couch and could see that the dust under the bed was so thick, the carpet was grey.

High quality pub stay

Beautifully renovated historic hotel. Comfortable with roomy ensuite. Great pub meals and nearby breakfast cafe options.

Unable to open windows so had to use verandahs to get fresh air.

No breakfast used.

Mix-up on the part of the off-site booking, promptly addressed by Hotel staff. Otherwise, a great venue and we will be staying again. Very central, convenient access to everywhere, and we enjoyed the meals.

Excellent little short stay.

the staff were excellent. the room was clean and spacious. The room balcony was a lovely spot to watch the sun rise... if you're into that kind of thing. Food was pretty good too. the live music on Friday night was excellent and didn't go very late. the location was perfect for our purpose of walking to the Spirit House restaurant. Gun Cotton is a fantastic cafe just across the road with amazing breakfast menu, friendly staff and very good coffee.

we got a room over the the verandah so a bit noisy and smoky but they usually finish up early. you can hear all passing traffic. Perhaps ask for a room over courtyard?

Ok I wouldn’t stay there again

No breakfast

No cutlery supplied and only two cups no saucers and two glasses, oretty poorly equipped given the rate charged. Staff at book in were offhand not welcoming

Brilliant & would do it again.

The staff were excellent, from checking-in in later than expected to vacating later the next morning. The meals were great value for money. "Old Style" Pub meals. Clean & Fresh - look to be newlky renovated to the old feel colours of an 1887 Pub.

Porbably to find a fault. No breakfast, which merans a walk about 30mtrs to one of TWO CAFES or 100mtrs to Pete's Bakery aroudn the corner.

Amazing as always

It was fantastic!! Next year when we come back there will be 2 couples and request the other end with own bathrooms and toilets!

worth a visit

great old pub with very friendly staff, awesome feed and comfy beds. very clean and well maintained

too dear for a shared bathroom, and too close to the train line and freight trains for a good night sleep. drop the price per night due to these issues and it would be worth staying there again

1 night stay for a family dinner at the Spirit House. Very comfortable. Staff were lovely.

Beautiful hotel but impossible to sleep at night.

Hotel was close to city centre

I had a terrible time I couldn't not sleep because of the band making a big noise from 9pm to 11pm

Disappointing

Good location. Friendly staff.

Very overpriced for the quality of room and conditions. Very basic room. Above pub with music until 11pm. That's ok but should be cheaper

Disappointing.

The shower rooms seemed clean, as did the toilets. The hot water was indeed hot. The building is a beautiful old building with a wonderful balcony where we sat and ate the Thai food from across the road. It's good Thai. There is a lot of parking available in the area.

The room had a bad smell; my companions thought pee. It was very basic. No table or bench to put pur bags on. There was a very loud, very out-of-tune singer until 11pm. They have no sound-proofing between where the music is set up and the rooms. There are no true no-smoking rooms as people can smoke on the balcony right outside the rooms. Thankfully no-one else was on the balcony with us. The beds are not all that comfortable, but better than a floor.

It was clean, but did not justify the cost of staying there for one night

We left early and did not have breakfast

Disappointed that there were no toiletries in the bathroom, (no soap, shampoo or body wash, and particularly no hairdryer, we had to go to the local IGA and purchase these items. We were flying out of Sunshine Coast Airport early and our luggage was left in our car and we only took a small overnight bag into the Hotel. Also very disappointed that we had to park our car on the road, as there was no parking at the hotel. So we thought the hotel was quite expensive for one night.
