About this house rental
This adorable cottage went from neglected to nurtured, and has turned into a little gem on the island. The beach access is right across the street (about 50 yards away). It has a coppertop roof, all new vinyl siding and a wraparound porch that is screened in, so you can people watch all day or enjoy relaxing on the 2 wicker couches.
The bedrooms boast a Queen bed each, plus a daybed. The walls in the living room have shiplap, the full size kitchen has floating shelves with subway tiles, and the baths have bead board, new vanities, and a full size washer dryer.
You have the whole lot to park cars, vans, boats, whatever. The Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar (the BEST restaurant/bar on a pier on the island) is right across the street. Thursday nights are always live music before the fireworks courtesy of the Town of Carolina Beach, and you can watch from the porch or view on the beach.

Comfortable for a family of four or five, more if you must. Everything worked fine, but no local channels to watch weather that we could find and no carafe for the bigger coffee pot. Some dishes were put away dirty, but not a big deal. I would stay here again.

I happened to schedule this trip last minute for one night. It was a great location across the street from the beach and house was cute with everything you need. The host asked if i wanted an additional night since there wasn't another booking after me. They accommodated those arrangements very quickly, which worked out perfectly.

The property owner Erin was amazing! She went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! She was super prompt with getting back to my questions & was very accommodating! She even had the porch lights on for us with a welcome note! The house was immaculate. The beds were comfortable & kitchen was well stocked with a big refrigerator. I took my son for a much needed getaway where we could just unplug. The location was perfect, the property/design was aesthetically pleasing, and the property owner was responsive on a dime. No complaints from me or my 15 yo teen. Mission accomplished!!

* Queen beds are pushed against the wall, making it difficult to extricate yourself for a late-night bathroom break
* Could use more hand towels (there were none in the guest bath, and only one in the kitchen)
* Some items could use a deep cleaning, like the toothbrush holders and laundry
* No A/C in guest bedroom - thankfully, it was just the two of us, so we didn’t need it

The house was just across the street from the ocean. It is an older, but updated and well appointed cottage. The only negative thing I could say is that the house is cooled with 2 ductless A/C systems, one in the living room and the other in the master bedroom. The guest bedroom doesn't have one. Otherwise, the place was a great choice and we'd return.

I would rent here again. It was a short walk to the beach. My sister has health issues and not having a lot of stairs was wonderful. Love the screened in porch. The bathrooms were spacious. Loved the outdoor shower. Amenities were wonderful regarding kitchen utensils.

Comfy Home with Easy Beach Access
With so many prime beach locations succumbing to commercial development, it was nice to find a cozy home so close to the beach. The living areas, including beds and baths were roomy and comfortable, and the kitchen perfect for our needs. With 3 easy beach access points within a block, we were easily able to step over and enjoy the waves and the breezes whenever we chose. The fully covered, furnished, and screened wraparound porch allowed us to lounge out front and watch the lightning storms in the evening.
A nice wood outdoor shower, fully private with hot and cold water, made it easy to wash off the sand after our beach forays. Groceries and treats just a short drive (or walk) away. Definitely a location we would rent again.
As a bonus to the next renter, we (inadvertently) left our Chromecast attached to the TV, so hopefully that will find some good use as well. :)

The house can sleep a lot of people, but feeding everyone at once was a problem with the small table and limited chairs.The ashtray on the porch is misleading. The porch is not a practical place for smokers with non smokers also staying.

Great location, within walking distance to public beach access
My sister, myself, my 1-yo daughter and 10-yo lab mix stayed here from 7/11-7/15. Easy to find, several places to eat located within walking distance, convenient store about a mile down the road. Loved having 2 separate bathrooms and the open floor plan to the living room and kitchen. My daughter and dog LOVED the screened in porch. She got to ppl watch, which I actually have a video recording of her doing so then turning around to catch me watching her and lit up with this huge smile. Priceless. Roscoe got to experience new sniffs and smells and my daughter was able to walk around in her walker on the porch and indoors, which she’s not able to do at home. At night when the baby went down, we adults would sit on the porch and enjoy drinks and the nice breeze. The baby monitor even worked from the front area of the porch and the camera was located in the master bedroom. It did take a bit to cool the house off but once we had the wall/window units running, it got down to 65 degrees in there. I would most definitely stay here again. Erin was extremely easy to work with and/or communicate with. Cute little beach town with a very clean beach, lots of local eateries and it’s original boardwalk for the children. We only ate out at dinner though. Because of the number of visitors, it did take at least 45 min to 1 hr to get our food anywhere we went to. No fun with hungry baby who doesn’t understand about wait times. We brought groceries with us for our breakfast and lunches, then would plan accordingly for the dinner rush. There is a local Publix grocery store that we visited once that has everything you could want or need, including alcohol. In regard to some of the prior reviews, yes, the bath towels are not hotel plush but they did the job. The sheets and quilts were nice and clean. Could use some dish towels and dish rags in the kitchen. Also, the living room and outdoor furniture isn’t that great in regard to being modern or great condition. But considering Erin allows fur babies and small children, I wouldn’t expect to find high end expensive furniture that would cost an arm & leg to replace. I sat on everything and found each piece to be comfortable.

The location for this house is great because it is right across the street from the beach. However there is no view of the beach and the street is VERY busy. The furniture and beds are very comfortable but you have to rearrange furniture to get the day bottom daybeds out to sleep on them leaving very little room to move around. We had 8 bath towels but only 4 washcloths for 6 people on the reservation, glad we brought some extras. Make sure to bring your own beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and toys. The house was mostly clean but the sponge in the kitchen was foul, the dish rack has lots of dirty build up, the bottom of the garbage can is full of dried stuff, the toothbrush holders still had toothpaste from previous renters, the shower curtains need to be washed as the bottoms are pink from bacteria growth, and there was yellow dried drops next to the master toilet. Plan to bring toilet paper and paper towels, as we only had half rolls on the holder and one extra roll in each bathroom for 6 people over 5 days. Overall, we had a great time! The restaurant/bar across the street is super convenient and good!! The piers are close and there is a lot to do...and eat around there! The host was easy to contact and even checked on us when the Tropical Storm came through!

Perfect Beach House Vacation
This property is in a fabulous location and is very well appointed. Every detail is thought of. Very cute decor. The screened porch and outdoor shower are must haves. Literally across the street from the beach.
Restaurants and Carolina Boardwalk in easy walking distance. Perfect for our family with older teens and college aged children.
Great communication and responses from host. Easy check in and out.

Pet friendly, family friendly
We all enjoyed our stay in this convenient and well equipped cottage. We appreciate the pet friendly home option to include our dog who also loved it! Minor notes: the master bedroom mattress is extra firm/hard and my husband had trouble sleeping on it and the screen door didn’t close fully when I’m the closed position, leaving a small gap at the bottom of the door. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect, welcoming and relaxing!!! You can walk to two food options/ restaurants and to the beach quickly. We all made great memories there! Thank you!
