Un salto nel passato

Fantastica struttura che ti fa fare un salto nel passato. Appena fuori dal paese di Valfabbrica . Il personale simpatico e disponibile meritano un 10 . Usufruito della mezza pensione con colazioni a buffet abbondanti e cene veramente buone. Camera accogliente e ben pulita. Consigliatissimo

Superb

Take a seat at one of the castle's terraces or climb on top of the caste tower. Take a glass of wine or a belgian beer and enjoy the amazing view from the castle. You may also catch a light breeze of wind during hot days from there. The dining room of the castle breathes the medieval style. Strategic position to places like Assisi. The castle itself is quite isolated but a car brings you everywere. Dont mind the bumpy road through the woods to get to the castle.

Sanitaire is kind of medieval style as well and needs refurbishment. Rooms on first en second floor can get warm because of no airco.

Beautiful historical place

This castle is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the area. The atmosphere was amazing and the panoramas are to die for. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere during dinner was really special. Assisi is just a short ride away making this a good place to retire to if you are interested in visiting the city.

We were quite unlucky and visited during some super warm days. If you get the room who gets the most sun during the day like we did it is almost impossible to sleep there as it is extremely warm. To be expected in old buildings (of course you can't have air con) but we couldn't sleep at all for2 nights. I also wouldnt describe the mattress as confortable. The room had a pleasant whirpool bath but I assume the jets were not cleaned recently as a whole bunch of sand flied out once I activated them.

Mixed bag.

Fantastic location in a beautiful castle. Friendly helpful staff especially Marco. Exceptional views especially from the top of the tower. Delicious four course dinner available. Lovely pool but located about 750m drive away and you pay an extra 5 euros per day per person,well worth it on a hot day.

Cannot comment on the castle bedrooms but the 1 bedroom apartment is in need of refurbishment. There is damp on the walls and peeling paint in the bathroom.Cracked floor tiles . The fridge is old, cracked and rusty. The fly screens don't fit properly. Very hard bed with unstable surround.Loose light fitting. Old towels covered in bleech marks. Concerned about a fire exit as bars on all the windows so stuck if unable to get out of the one door. I understand that this is an extremely old castle and refurbishment is on going , the apartment is not quite there yet.

Great location and amazing history

Location was perfect for us and the castle made the stay more special

It was a bit hit when we arrived, so air con would have been nice. But then again that would spoil the charm of the castle

Pleasant

Location is good, 30 minutes from Perugia, Gubbio, Assisi. Nice view from bathroom. Good staff. Good heating. Wide and comfortable beds.

We had a 2 bedrooms apartment, it is located ca. 700m from the castle, i.e it's no castle at all. When we arrived there was garbage from previous guests and an old and dirty fridge. Fridge was however replaced by a newer one. No TV, almost no wi-fi. Some kitchenware not clean. Bathroom is for handicapped persons, means it is not comfortable for everyone.

A perfect place to spend a couple of days or passing by, great location, view and experience!

The castle is well kept, has a lovely location with a great view, and they let you explore the grounds and castle by yourself. The rooms had everything we needed. We had a nice sunset view from our room, which was perfect.

A night in a castle is all is cracked up to be. charming yet comfortable. kids loved it and we felt very welcomed there.

Location was awesome. Hospitality from our host, Marco was amazing! The breakfast in the morning was also well worth it. kids loved it!

Very good short stay

Lots of space, a beautiful view from the bathroom window. Very clean, a large comfortable bed and good quality bed linen. Oil and Vinegar, salt and peper and coffee provided. Good value for money. Wehad a very nice dinner at the castle

The cutlery and pans need replacing as neither are fit for purpose. Need a couple more wine glasses.

The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The location was stunning and most of the staff were friendly and very helpful

The apartment was a little tired, 4 of the kitchen chairs were falling apart which I ended up fixing and the drain I'm the bathroom was blocked. The apartment could do with a lick of paint and a refresh.

Beautiful location and great service

3/4 board was perfect, not having to drive into town to eat in the evening. Plenty of food and the service was awesome.

Our bed was comfortable, but it was a fold-out couch with a good mattress on it. There were no real seating in the room unless you wanted to sit on the bed or the other 'fold out' single bed.

Had a very nice time at this wonderful place

The hosts were very nice (family ran business). The property location and property itself are extraordinary. 4 course menu dinners were very tasty. My wife liked the scent of beds very much.

Rooms are a bit small. Bathroom sink looked like partly clogged. Outside surrounding would need a bit care.
