Nice B&B with friendly host and clean accommodation.

Tasty breakfast. Friendly host and nice clean room.

En-suite was small but adequate for our needs. On a busy A road but that is mentioned in the write up. A fair walk to Matlock so easier to take the car.

Only dropped a little as bathroom spotless tastefully renovated for age of home but my husband struggled to fit in shower

Comfortable and very enjoyable.

The breakfast was really lovely, fresh and tasty. Landlady happy to adapt to order. Beds comfortable and room tidy. Little extras like fridge with fresh milk and water daily was a good surprise as was a whole packet of cookies. The little extras made it special.

Nothing was to dislike.

Made to feel so welcome and safe as a solo traveller

Can't recommend Slayleigh enough! I had to travel alone for a charity event as my husband was unwell and I was made to feel so comfortable by the hosts. When I got there I was worrying about reversing out of the carpark onto the main road so Graham turned my car round so I could just drive out in the morning. I didn't fancy going out for food on my own so Yvonne made me a pizza and a gin and just made me feel so welcome. The beds! Omg they're so comfortable and the pillows were unreal. Gorgeous full English in the morning to set me up for my hike. Thanks for a lovely stay!

B&Bs don‘t come any better than this

Very stylish and comfortable room and bathroom. Everything, including the breakfast room has been skillfully and tastefully decorated. Yvonne and Graham are the most gracious hosts you could wish for. For breakfast we could have literally had anything. Special recommendation: Yvonne‘s breakfast bowl with her own muesli, greek yoghurt, compot and fresh strawberries from the garden is to die for.

Fantastic place love it .would definitely stay there again

Really good night sleep room just right bed comfortable. Love the little extra in room .tea coffee etc .love the breakfast .any think perfect .host could do enough .would love to stay again.

The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was fabulous and the room was like a hotel room with tea making facilities and mini toiletries. All very clean. we really enjoyed the hot tub!!!

Warm, friendly, cosy and fun in a beautiful part of the country.

Bed was super comfy with a nice mattress and good quality bedding. Both Graham & Yvonne were extremely friendly hosts & made our stay in the Derby Dales lots of fun. Breakfast was delightful, exactly how I like it and nothing was too much trouble.

It wasn’t so much we didn’t like it but our bathroom was very small, not that it was an issue for us but some people might prefer one of the other rooms that comes with a big bathroom including a bath.

Beautiful and picturesque stay with fantastic hosts

A beautiful B&B in a fantastic location! The rooms were exceptionally clean and very cosy. We had an amazing nights sleep on one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept on! The breakfast was delicious and very fresh. Such a lovely stay.

lovely stay and superb host

really lovely host who couldnt have been more helpful and nicer than she was!!.. thanks! hot tub was a bonus🤙 really excellent breakfast .11 out of 10! the property is on main bus route from matlock to bakewell etc which is great if you are not driving

only slight quibbles/suggestons .. the check in is a little late(4pm) and check out is early(10.15) would have liked a another pillow(not the big cushion) and perhaps 90 mins for the hot tub for the£40.. instead of just an hour , as it was lovely but the hour went to quickly!!but obviously they are expensive to run

Parsnip wine

Yvonne you are a fantastic host down to earth and very friendly. Room clean and tidy .bed was comfy .fridge in room .love the decor. Breakfast was brilliant Plum n Lime jam v tasty, and got to taste Yvonne's homemade wines " parsnip wine top vino". Would recommend a stay here .

Only one issue think the sign outside for b&b should be lit up .we arrived in the dark and went passed it .
