Overall excellent experience

Good situation at the centre of Catania. We loved the fact that there was a private parking very close to the apartment.

The single beds can be improved; the rest was fantastic.

Superb

It was absolutely brilliant! Very comfortable stay. It is in the centre of nightlife in Catania and everything is in walking distance. Very clean and comfortable.

The sound from the street may bother you if you are a light sleeper.

Movida

All facilities but WiFi

- WiFi didn't work at all, we had no connection - Via Gemmellaro is the Movida of Catania. You hardly manage to sleep during weekends. It is NOT for somebody who wants to rest and sleep, no quiet place.

Perfectly located to both see the sights and experience Catania's busy restaurant scene. V comfortable apartment

A little noisy until midnight or so but not impossible. We slept well.p

Spacious apartment, great location close to everything.

Noise in the bedroom from outside during the night as it s a busy street with bars and sofa bed was not comfortable at all.

Centrally located

Central location and everything is within walking distance from the property- shopping, restaurants & parking. Had no problem whatsoever with communicating with Gianmarco (landlord)..very responsive!

Having the property surrounded by restaurants & Bars... Loud music is obviously expected & can be heard throughout the night up to 2am which may be very disturbing to some - having said that, ear plugs are also provided by the property.

The apartment was great, comfortable,very clean! We traveled with our kids who found the apartment nice too. Gemellaro street is full of bars and places to eat, really close to via Etnea, the Duomo and other historical sites. Gianmarco and his father are very kind!

Great location for tourism but be prepared for the noise from bar steet

- great location close to everything (apart from the noise - see below) - very practical to have 2 bathrooms - everything worked correctly

- while it's a great location for tourism, it is a bar street with plenty of bars and students. They remained very noisy very late, and the cleaning took place early in the morning, meaning we don't really sleep without the earplugs provided by the host. - there was a distinct smell of fish (?) - there is no microwave, which in itself is fine, but to use the oven we had to contact the host to find out as to how to activate and use it - a user's manual for the oven, washer and other appliances would have been good - the owner was not very flexible and could not keep our bags for some hours because of new guests arriving, etc.

Everything was perfect, we liked to stay in this apartment. Gianmarco was very kind and helpful. He also helped us to organise the Etna tour with his friend Luca. Luca is a tour guide, we get a lot of information from Luca about Etna, we had the possibility to take part in a fantactic tour with him. We strongly recommend both the accomodation Gemmellaro Apartment and the Etna tour with Luca to everybody.

Very good location !

Great location and warm welcome from Gianmarco. Comfortable and very good standing.

Bedroom on the street side a little bit noisy at night, but no big deal, and the earplugs are offered if needed

Huge and really spacious apartment with equipped kitchen, two bathrooms. Excellent location and very kind and helpful owners.

Due to the central location of the apartment the street was a bit noisy at night

Perfect spacious apartment

Perfect location by the city centre, above the very lively street (during the evening and night), 50m from airstop shuttle bus stop. Really spacious, renowated apartment, fully equipped with everything you could need. 2 bathrooms, AC, safe. Very pleasant owner - Gianmarco, speaking perfect English. Nearby a lot of bars and restaurants. Penny supermarket 200m, saturday market 100m. Highly recommended, exceptional value for money

The bars and restaurants below windows live until 3.00 a.m. , so street is very noisy, ear plugs recommended.
