It was OK

Bathroom was very clean and nice to have a bath and a fairly decent shower options. Plenty of storage in the room. Good to have hot chocolate as an option for a drink in the room and biscuits. Breakfast good though it would have been nice to have the fried egg not with a hard yoke.

Bedroom stuffy, and the window was like a door, so not easy to have open. There were only blinds at the window, and they blew about if there was wind. You had to choose between air or privacy. The blinds also didn't keep the light out from outside out of the room. We faced the carpark, and the light from there didn't go out until midnight. The bed was hard and narrow, so it was not the best night's sleep. Didn't like that we had to pick a time for breakfast. When on holiday you don't want to have to get up for a certain time. Should be that you are at breakfast between certain times, not at one time.

Lovely smart real ale pub with rooms / restaurant

Very clean, good food and drink, easy parking and out in the countryside but relatively easy to get to for a work visit in Telford.

Small telly .... but hey .... didn't spend much time in the room anyway.

Lovely place to stay and eat

It was a one night stay..the staff were lovely, the food was excellent. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean.

Good food good value.

A lovely country pub very well appointed. We had an excellent breakfast and also had an evening meal which was really good. Very friendly welcome.

We felt the room was a little cool in the afternoon but got quite warm through the night. We had been unable to book a table in the restaurant so had to sit in the bar which was perfectly fine, however we felt a little abandoned as once we’d been shown to our table we were not made aware that we had to order our food at the bar, but we worked it out and was all good.

A perfect mini break and made to feel at home

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating as we arrived earlier than expected and they allowed us to check into the room. We had fully expected to have to wait and have a few drinks at the bar. The breakfast was fantastic rooms were very cosy and we would definitely visit again

Excellent staff and great restaurant

The young staff are very well trained and attentive, especially in the restaurant. They seem to be very knowledgeable about what they are serving and are helpful explaining what to choose. I travel a lot for business and this really stood out for me.

The bell which rings every time a dish is ready in the kitchen is really annoying. Sounds like a doorbell and I think unnecessary as the waiting staff are constantly going between restaurant and kitchen.

First class place to eat, drink and sleep.

Excellent welcome, friendly, helpful and efficient. Bar service was prompt, range of drinks and snacks offered was very good. Great Dinner menu and able to cater for a Coeliac guest with a very good selection of Gluten Free options. Sensibly priced wine list. Breakfast was first class, well presented, fresh and very tasty. Again, GF wasn’t a problem with GF toast being available. Our second stay in 12 months and we shall certain return.

Great stay!

Lovely little property! If I ever returned for a country holiday, I’d stay here, and can definitely recommend it to others. It’s beautiful, picturesque, and clean.

Excellent one night break!

Everything about our stay was superb. The room was very clean, the staff were exceptional and the restaurant offered good food at very reasonable prices. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area!

The TV in the room was a bit small, absolutely not a show stopper but something a bit bigger would be better.

Fabulous, would go again

The staff were always willing to please. The actual place was lovely, clean, comfortable and well presented. The food was 5 star The room was spotless.

The only 1 thing I can say is that we found a pair of dirty socks from the previous client. But owning my own cleaning business I can understand something like this being overlooked

We were travelling for a month in Europe. This Pub gave us two days of our very best accommodation.

A brilliant English Pub! Had everything, great location, fantastic staff, very good restaurant and bar! All the elements and then some to make a great English Pub.

A vibrant local pub in a beuatiful country setting.

The room was well set out with lots of storage and even a foldaway cot with spare bedding if needed. Hairdryer, iron & ironing board supplied. Towels were a great size and there was a good selection of biscuits & teas, coffee's etc. Plugs either side of the bed for phone charging. Breakfast was lovely; I had the salmon & scrambled eggs on the first day and the portion was huge and really tasty. The fried eggs on the second day were lovely. The choice of cereals and juices was a bit limited but fine for us. We could order more drinks and toast if we needed. Had evening meal one night and it was lovely; veggie burger and chips for me and braised steak pie for hubby and both were great portions and tasty.

A bit noisy with when staff were packing away and setting up from the pub section below. Needed 2 tea bags in the pot of tea and the toast was only done on 1 side on the second day but was still tasty.

A lovely place to stay just outside Ironbridge and close to The Wrekin. Ideal when walking the Shropshire Way.

Excellent, Thank you to all the staff

The village location is excellent, our room was very clean and tidy. We only stayed two nights eating in the resturant both nights the food was excellent and the wonderful breakfast set us up for the day. The staff were fantastic in the evening and at breakfast want to say a special thanks to Colette who laughed and joked with us at breakfast. But they were all so nice.

Wonderful weekend stay

Everything. A really lovely pub and staff were really helpful and friendly. Our room was quite small but we had everything we needed. The food is amazing and at reasonable prices. Breakfast was lovely and was piping hot when it was brought to the table.
