About this house rental
Once you enter the Blue Moon, you realize you are in a special place. The living room and dining room areas have white planked 16' ceilings and matching planked walls. The kitchen has granite countertops and grand oversized cabinets. Heart of pine hardwood floors throughout. 12 foot ceilings in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Marble showers and vanities in the bathrooms. This professionally decorated home gives you the feeling you have gone back in time but with all of the modern conveniences of a new home. The covered front porch with adirondack and rocking chairs allows you to enjoy watching all of the neighborhood activities. NEWLY ADDED: The downstairs area was recently renovated adding additional outdoor living and recreational areas. There is a swinging daybed for relaxing afternoon naps. The side yard area has a fire pit and seating with outdoor string lights above. There is also a grilling area with a dining table and bar for entertaining and a ping pong table for some friendly competitions. You can take a leisurely stroll across the street (typically you will see more bicycles than cars on our little street) to hang out at one of the community pools or play shuffleboard. Also, there is a large grassy play area - a great place for frisbee. If you go left down the sidewalk, you are just a few steps away from the sand leading to the East Pass beach area. Many people like to fish and snorkel along the jetties at the East Pass. If you prefer the Gulf beach, it is a short five minute walk over the Lake Christina boardwalk. If you don't want to walk, there is a tram that will pick you up in front of the house and drop you off at the beach and return you home when you are ready. The Destin Pointe community has 3000 feet of beach frontage along the Gulf of Mexico and the East Pass where the fishing boats come and go from the Destin Harbor. During the summer months, you can watch the fireworks most every weekend sitting on the cool sand of the East Pass. Once you arrive at Destin Pointe, there is no need to worry about any of the traffic jams on Hwy 98. If you need something from the grocery store or Target, you just take Gulf Shore Drive (with very little traffic) and cross over 98 to get whatever you may need. We are also very close to some of Destin's best restaurants and Harbour Walk shops, bars and restaurants. We highly recommend Harry T's restaurant - you will see why when you get there. You can watch the boats coming and going from the harbor with the beautiful blue water. Sipping on a cool drink, you will think you are in Paradise. There are several great golf courses in the area if you want to bring your golf clubs. Also, we have two tennis courts in the neigborhood. There is great scenery for walkers to enjoy in Destin Pointe and on the walking sidewalks along Gulf Shore Drive. Once you have visited the Destin Pointe community, you will understand why so many people return year after year.

We enjoyed our stay at Blue Moon and found the home was nicely decorated, and provided us with lots of little extras like sandcastle building supplies, bikes, and fishing poles. It was very helpful that the light switches were labeled throughout so we knew how to operate everything. The door locks were a little tricky, but the host provided a quick response to our questions.

We absolutely loved this house! We’ve been long time Destin Pointe visitors and really loved the comfort, location, and beauty of the Blue Moon.
It’s quiet, comfortable and a nice walk to the beach with the quick proximity to the pool for an evening dip. My nieces loves the ‘secret garden,’ finding front, identifying tropical flowers and playing ping pong downstairs.
We would most certainly love to stay again!!

From day one, we enjoyed this home away from home. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Perfect proximity to the community pool across the street and the beach is a few short blocks away.
It is a straight shot to the grocery store and you avoid most traffic.
We spent our mornings on the veranda enjoying our coffee and watching people pass by on the way to the beach. We loved grilling on the lower level and had a nice time with our family around the fire pit.
The bikes are there for use and plenty of extra beach supplies to go along with the included two chair/umbrella rental on Destin Beach. This particular beach is not as crazy crowded as other parts of Destin --which is why we will return to this house on Destin Pointe. 😊
The owners were kind and very responsive. They wanted to assure we had a great vacation and we did.

Our stay at the Blue Moon feels like home but we have the beautiful beach and great weather as an added bonus. Jeff is a great host and takes care of any issues that come up, but this is our 2nd year staying at the Blue Moon and have not had any issues at all, other than an Amazon delivery that he took care of for us.

This accommodation is one of the few that lived up to (even surpassed) the pictures posted. It’s the closest thing to a perfect getaway we could’ve imagined for a family of five. We wanted a space that was close to the beach, safe, clean, and put us in relatively close proximity to one another… this checked all the boxes. we will likely stay again!

I’m so happy we found the Blue Moon. It was just as described and in the perfect location for our family. This house is so charming and perfect in every way. The location to the pool and jetties is so convenient. As well as a short tram ride to the beach. The downstairs outdoor living area is so relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked to cook for the family. The large ice maker was so handy to fill our cooler for the beach. This rental was even better than its listing! The house is gorgeous and spotlessly clean. From the front porch, you can see the dunes and the pool across the street. From the back deck, you can see the east pass and get a sense of the day's water conditions. The bikes gave us easy access to the main beach - it was maybe a 5-7 minute walk through the neighborhood, but less than 2 leisurely minutes on the bike.
This listing was so perfect - I can't think of anything that didn't fully meet our needs. We would definitely rent here again, and would even buy this property!

The house is very well stocked! Everything you could need or think of is provided. I wish we hadn’t brought down so much stuff because most of it was already there for us to use. Absolutely perfect beach cottage.......wonderfully decorated.......with all of the amenities and house accessories/utensils needed for your stay. Beautifully landscaped.......wonderful front porch for having your mornings coffee.....or relaxing in the rocking chairs in the evening. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Blue Moon.......and will Definitely return! The owners were wonderful to work with......and were very quick to respond with answers to any questions/ concerns that we had.
