Exceptional

Next a beautiful lake & so private room ㅡso private room like my own house. The room is separated from the main house by a garage ㅡsparkling clean ㅡspacious room ㅡso comfy bed ㅡnice toilet plus friendly host

nice place, out of the Queenstown mess

very completely stocked kitchen but we didn’t cook more than coffee. big bathtub great washing machine, we were glad there was time for clothes to dry.

hard to turn car around in parking area and a bit scary getting onto highway. pillows too hard, no way to regulate bed covers ,too hot or too cold.

it's ok for a short stay but found it overpriced and dated. The images are misleading.

it's in a good location if you have a car. Close to Arrowtown

the images shown in the listing are not true, looks like they are old and now it's under new management so the space is just a room and the food offered is different. Please update them so we know what we are paying for.

A lovely spot opposite Lake Hayes. The host was welcoming and the accommodation very nice. The breakfast left for us was very good.

If you want a comfortable studio to stay in - this is the place!

We were met by our host who was very welcoming. Our studio was exceptional with a good outlook on to bushes and lavender. There was even a peacock next door (a quiet peacock)!

We thought some of the reviews left on Booking.com were very unfair - not matching the property at all. This is an excellent place to stay - all neat and tidy.

Misleading photos

Location and room was awesome.

The photos were pretty misleading, we got put in the room out back not what we were expecting at all, the breakfast was just cereal or toast we thought it was a cooked breakfast as the description explained. We weren't told about the spa or anything else, I had to ask if we could use the bikes which there was only one of so we couldn't even bike together. Overall pretty average customer service. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

Our stay was wonderful! We enjoyed walking around the lake during the morning and star gazing at night. The room was very clean and provided us with a relaxing place to enjoy vacationing.

lovely, quick, comfortable and clean place

it’s very clean and it include simple breakfast items. there is a small kitchenette to make some quick meals if you choose to do so. otherwise bread, yoghurt, milk (we asked for oat milk and the host was very nice to swap it for us), cereal, fresh fruits were all included. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it

Peaceful Lake Hayes - close to enjoy Queenstown when you want, but far enough to avoid the crowds

Location is excellent for being close enough to Queenstown to take advantage of activities, restaurants, etc. but far enough away that the nights are quiet and undisturbed. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was great: large enough for both shower and tub, double sinks, instant hot water and big fluffy towels. Perfect when you come back from a day in the cold and snow. Heat pump kept the room toasty warm. Quite a generous continental breakfast was provided in the room.

A light outside the door to the room that we could switch on. Was very dark coming back in the evening and we had to use flashlight to see to open the lock. We could see that that there were light fixtures outside the garage, but the switch seemed to be controlled in the main part of the lodge. Also a larger mat outside front door: both because the tiles were very slippery after the rain, and to dry our shoes before walking on the carpet in the room.

Host was very friendly. Bed extremely comfortable. Very quiet location and close to lake.

The marketing needs to change so that the accommodation is not sold as luxury, with cooked breakfasts and lake views. It is a lovely room and very peaceful, but more "comfortable bed and continental breakfast supplied in your room".

Great selection for breakfast. All fresh and neatly set out. Host very friendly and obliging...couldn't fault it. Better than the hotel we stayed in. Great personal touch.

We had a nice stay and the location was perfect.

We liked the size of the room and the bathroom. Very private. Very nice hosts who were lovely to deal with.

The electric jug did not work when we went to make cup of tea.

Nice large private suite with large bathroom and laumdry. Eggs, bread, fruit and cereal provided for breakfast. Very friendly host who met us when we arrived and then gave us our privacy for the rest of our stay. Right on the edge of Lake Hayes and walking distance to Amisfield

Booking.com and the in room information mentioned an outside spa pool but this was not mentioned to us during our stay but that may have been due to Covid

Great location for a short or long stay

Breakfast was superb, stunning view from the dining table overlooking a beautiful garden and lake Hayes. The hostess, Jasmine, was very friendly and helpful.

Well worth a visit and good value for money.

Jasmine, our host, is lovely and made our stay a pleasure. The breakfast was great and the location is superb. I would be happy to stay here again.

Our room was quite basic and could probably do with an update or makeover when the tourist business improves. Watching baby rabbits at play out of the bedroom window was entertaining.
