A secluded, relaxing, excellent personal service experience of Sri Lanka and her people.

This unique property accepts only one booking at a time so it becomes your private home with staff. It is a five bedroom villa on the sea with dining room, living room, and a therapy room with massage table and treatments on call. We enjoyed lounging on the verandah overlooking lush gardens and colorful birds. Beyond is an outdoor dining area next to the swimming pool, and beyond that a privacy fence to the beach. The architecture is traditional but the interior is fully renovated with modern baths. The villa is located in a good Sri Lankan neighborhood and we liked hearing the chanting coming from the nearby Buddhist temple, and the music of the bread truck making its rounds. We especially liked the feeling of solitude and attentive service from the excellent host who checked in with us every day and did everything to make us happy. Stanley, the all purpose and efficient houseman, was always at our call. We felt cared for like private house guests.

I realize now that this is an opportunity to immerse in the life of Sri Lanka and not expect an international menu. The western food can be mediocre, but the Sri Lankan dishes always delicious. However, we did ask for western breakafasts and the eggs where good.

Прекрасное расположение, тихо, буквально на берегу океана. Комфортная вилла, есть всё необходимое для проживания большой компанией. Семья просто в восторге от Стенли (помощник на все случаи на время размещения). Хозяин организовывал различные туры по резонной цене, всегда отзывчивый и готовый помочь в любой ситуации.

Слив в раковинах и душевых плохо работал, постельное бельё не было поменяно ни разу за восемь дней пребывания.

Very cozy and quiet place. Very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful garden. Literally less than a minute walk to the beach. Would definitely come again and recommend for a quiet relaxing holiday

There are no windows in any room. Even the “balcony” is just another tiny room with concrete walls. There’s a bit of daylight coming trough the gap in the top part of the window/balcony so it’s not dark in the room. The rest is covered with concrete. This is 100% compensated with the common areas. It simply doesn’t make sense to stay in the room. Also the internet is only good in common areas

This is a small intimate guesthouse right on the edge of the ocean. You will feel like this is your home. The owner and manager went out of their way to assist in so many ways. We were in Kalutara on a film shoot and needed a driver and a translator -- the owner found great people for us! I also had an injury -- the manager, Lucky, and another guy carried me off the beach and arranged for an ambulance. They were there for us - above and beyond the norm -- and helped us in so many kind ways. I felt they really cared; like family.

I can't think of anything I didn't like.

Loved staying in this colonial looking Villa.

Lucky’s hospitality. He was a fantastic host. Nothing too much and went out of his way to make my stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible. The garden is relaxing and nice to spend time in.

The beach is pretty much non existent and due to the current the sea is not really safe to swim in. The photos also make it look as if the beach is on the property but you have to cross a road to get to it.

I will come again - certainly!

So, I was here for a total of 19 days. Even the reception by the owner and the manager Laknat "Lucky" was extremely friendly, warm and I immediately felt at home. I was the first foreign guest since the beginning of the pandemic - but I am sure that all guests will be welcomed in this way. Sure, the accommodation is not perfect. It is only a guest house and not a five star hotel. If I had wanted that, I would have booked it. What I particularly liked here is that I wasn't just a guest, but like part of the family. That hadn't changed during the entire stay. With his lovely manner and perfect English, Lucky always had some advice. He was a very helpful friend to me during this time. I have now been to Sri Lanka twelve times. But this place is one of my favorites. My indigenous friends were always welcome too. I will be back!

Unfortunately, the doors in this property are a bit thin and you can hear everything from the outside. The area is also a bit noisy, although it is quiet. But the property can't help it. It's up to the neighborhood and the sellers to keep communicating.
