Really lovely visit overall, unfortunately marred by a few inconveniences and difficulty sleeping.

Lovely people running this campsite, and a really charming Bohemian and Green style to everything about it.

The floor in the tipi is very creaky, making it impossible to go out in the night without waking everyone else in the tent. Also the condition of the barbeque grill was not adequate for successfully cooking, which is potentially a big deal for anyone hoping to cook their own food. Which could be difficult as there is a scarcity of food or resources available in the immediate area without a fairly long drive.

Amazing place!

We only stayed for 3 nights but we wished it could be longer. The hosts were incredible. The yurt was amazing. The pool was so relaxing. The facilities were amazing - especially the pool table, free of charge, to entertain a 9 year old. All the kitchen facilities free of charge, plates, cups, glasses, pans, etc....I could go on. We will definitely be heading back

Enjoyable Unique Experience

Yurt was very comfortable and warm. Very clean shared kitchen and toilet facilities. Very child friendly, lots of toys and swing sets.

Fabulous

What a nice experience! Original yurts and tents in a beautiful surroundings. Perhaps not in every way the standards you would normally expect but fully compensated by atmosphere, landlord and surrounding. We had a great stay!

It’s a bit more alternative and back to nature with dry toilets for instance. But fine!

A wonderful special place

We spent a night in a tipi at Le Bonheur Nomade as a stopover between Calais and Bretagne as a family of five. The tipi was clean, spacious and watertight (it rained a lot that night). It was decorated with Native American artefacts in a lovely way. The shower facilities were clean and the water warm. The toilets are unusual but clean (dry toilets, you “flush” with a pint of sawdust). The communal area had a very nice fully equipped kitchen and a spectacular open garden lounge area to have meals and hang out in. The owner Michel who runs the place with his wife is a lovely guy, always helpful and approachable, he speaks a bit of English and German but mostly French. There are lots of old and new toys for children to play with.
