A good place in the heart of Laon

Zohra did very friendly show me my big room with a comfortable bed. It helped me as the location was right in the center of the old town.

Happy to stay here again

Excellent location in centre of 'old' Laon. It's the second time we've stayed here. Very good for single night stopover. Warm rooms, comfortable beds, quiet (despite bar next door which we couldn't here at all). Plenty of restaurants nearby - Grill L'AMAÏDÉ (good pizzas) is a short walk and stays open until 10pm. The door for the apartment is not easy to spot - and remember to call the host when you arrive (if they don't answer the door/aren't open). We stayed in a double room; the 3 children stayed in a triple room on the same floor across the landing. We will happily stay here again.

Parking close by can be a little awkward. But it's an easy drop off with plenty of parking around 5-mins walk away.

lovely town and sights. Hotel could be so much better

The location was good , central to the town

The room was quite basic, no TV , some lights not working in bathroom. A kettle and tea and coffee would be nice. the towels were very small and thin.

Bath with unlimited hot water.

Arrived early and was told I could have the room at any time. However was asked to pay by PayPal which didn't work for me. Could not deposit my bags which I had to carry with me for hours. Prefer normal Booking.cpm method of payment.

Location close to town center

Room was looking completely different compare booking photos..shower was terrible, couldnt even have proper clean after long drive.Bedding like in camp from 70s .Really uncomfortable.

Very good value for an over night stop in the centre of the impressive town of Laon.

Location was amazing. On a cobbled street in the centre of Laon. Few minutes walk from the cathedral. Lady running the property was delightful and very helpful. Very comfortable bed!

All good. A few reviews had said about the room hadn't been warmed up before they arrived with the weather outside being -7 We asked the lady to make sure it was warm on arrival. It was toasty. Too warm actually.

Shower height not adjustable and set too high for a short person like me. Nowhere nearby to get breakfast.

The worst hotel that i have ever cheched. Noone in the reception. Durty and used sheets. Grey towels.

Good

The apartment itself is right on one of the main street. The room itself is large, we've got a double bed, with another sofa beside it. Free street parking available about a block away (Boulevard Michelet).

Wooden houses, we were on the 2nd floor, could hear people walking from above. Stair are bit narrow at one point, quite difficult to get up with a baby in hand. Charging €10 per baby cot (tho we've got our own).

the location is central the place is basic and ok for 1 or 2 nights

Communication was not pleasant payment is not using booking.com. Room is missing some basics like a TV and a possibility for a coffee/tea.

A town centre location, with lovely hosts, for less than most out of town hotel chains!

Great location close to medieval town centre, yet quiet and peaceful. And very good value for money!

Maybe offer breakfast…?

Convenient place to stay in the centre of town

Good location, large room. Rather rustic and characterful.

The stairs were steep to the second floor, and the light didn’t come on until you reach the top, which means climbing in the dark. When we arrived there was no one at the desk. It would be helpful to receive a communication to say to ring on arrival and someone will come and let us in.

no soap in shower, no small towels for face and hands, tub was dirty, beds uneven slope blood rushes to head. shower valve sticks after tub mode. could not use shower. light at mirror did not work. light at bedside did not work.

Lacked a warm welcome and hygiene, yet comfortable bed for good night's sleep

The bed was comfortabel and big Nice shower (yet very dirty shower curtain). Nicely located in the city center of Laon

Even though we arrived during check in hours nobody was present. Other guests informed us that we needed a pin code for our room and that the host usually responded quickly to text messages. After texting we received an answer quickly and could go to our room. The room wasn't very clean, the shower curtain simply gross. During check out again no one was present to say goodbye, for that reason texted again to report we had checked out.

Sorry to say but my family felt uncomfortable with the busy bar street and noise.

No problem with the communication- our arrival was delayed until 11.30pm, and we were given code to get in, but I'd think someone could be there to welcome people until 12.00am.

Descriptions do not mention that the bar is a public bar with a pretty loud crowd spilling onto the street blocking the entrance to the front door. Bringing your children in past a noisy group of young drinkers is not a great experience. The bar then goes to the rear so we had the noise until 1am, maybe 2am. One fan in one room (we had two) so had to keep the windows open. No water in the rooms so I had to go and buy drinking water. No one there when we checked out at 08.30.

The noise was unacceptable, we did not know Every Saturday night a street party is held under Your bedroom window until 3am, We had a long drive next day, totally shattered.

Location

No one greeted us, only interested in payment, didnt know where to go once inside. Couldnt use outside courtyard space due to kids toys and an enormous dog blocking the doorway. Shabby tired looking room. Hairdryer didnt work and very noisy waste toilet water from flat above. Very small bath towels.

I can warmly recommend this friendly little hotel!

Everything. Good location, big and nice room, I enjoyed having a hot bath in the large bathtub after my hike here. Very good value for the price

Pleasant small hotel in the centre of the city.

This is a great place to stay right in the centre of the city. The room was exceptionally spacious and very clean. The price we paid was also very competitive. The staff were very informative and knowledgeable about Laon. We enjoyed our stay. The shower facilities were clean and well maintained. Lots of restaurants nearby. The city centre is compact and perched on the top of a very steep hill but extremely attractive.

Nothing to complain about. Good value for money
