Great location in a beautiful city

Rondeva is very comfortable and in an excellent location being on the edge of the old town of Chester which is an easy walk through the park. The view of the River Dee and the meadows is great and we were lucky as we had beautiful sun and moon rises over the river. The house is very quiet and has a well equipped kitchen. Communications with Chris were excellent and when we had a problem with the washing machine he responded immediately and offered access to another machine if we needed it. Rondeva was an excellent place to base our visit to Chester and Wales.

I’m just glad I wasn’t driving for the parking lane way at the rear of the property, but it was no bother for my husband 😉

Fabulous. We will be back!

Lots of space, great location, loved the extra touches like handwash/washing up liquid as saves you having to buy extras, fantastic view over river, extremely comfortable bedding which smelled amazing, great communication from Chris the owner, private parking space

Parking was a bit tight but once we sussed out best positioning it was fine, just take it slow

A good break in Chester

A lovely house with its own river frontage, a short walk through the park to the heart of Chester and parking as well. Rondeva certainly ticked all the boxes. Good communication from Chris as well.

Would highly recommend, beautiful house in a perfect location over looking the River Dee.

The house was well equipped and very comfortable. Really good communication from the owner and the bottle of prosecco was very much appreciated and enjoyed.

location was excellent - on river front, close to a lovely park and an easy walk to the centre of Chester plenty of room for a family of five lovely bedrooms main living room comfy and warm

Great to have parking at the property very convenient for unloading bags. You have to reverse a long way down a narrow gap to get out of the space onto the road

very clean and tidy. great location and you can tell a lot of love and attention has gone into this house. the views to this property are just stunning.

could do with another bathroom but I appreciate that wouldn’t happen.

Excellent location for Chester and a beautiful house.

Chris was very helpful and made sure we were ok, checking in with us via text. The location was superb and we found the house very comfortable.

Parking was a bit tight but that’s just because we had a large hire car.

This is the perfect space for a couple or family to visit Chester very comfortably for a weekend or longer , you would b

really great spot next to the river , 5 mins walk to the centre shops and cafes and just across from the lovely Grosvenor Park . Very well kitted out , the house was lovely and warm when we arrived and there was a Welcome Bottle of Prosecco which was lovely . One parking space outside and such a lot of space in the house , tv with Netflix etc , all very comfortable and really well furnished .

Lovely stay in a perfect location. Property exceeded expectations.

Great property well decorated for the festive holiday. Stunning views over the River Dee. Fabulous location in a quiet residential area, yet perfect for the city centre. Will definitely return, bottle of Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch. Thanks Chris.

Fun weekend away in a lovely house.

The location was beautiful - overlooking the river. Walking distance to the city centre. Plenty of utensils if needed. Comfortable bads.

It's not a dislike but the stairs were very steep and could make it difficult if anyone had mobility issues but that's due to the period of when the house was built.

the house is in a great position close to shops, pubs, restaurants 10 - 15 minuet walk, with a stunning view and lovely patio area right on the riverside. cosy interior, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen, allocated parking . Chris made sure everything was ok for us. we will definitely return

location excellent. close to the centre for shops, restaurants. excellent views and mostly very quiet

stairs are a little steep think they would be an issue if you had mobility problems.

Lovely relaxing break with the unexpected weather to enjoy coffee on the terrace!

Location is fabulous, and the house is lovely, comfortable and generally well equipped

Purely nit-picking, would have appreciated a pair of oven gloves and some kitchen roll!

Lovely stay in a lovely house

The house is in a lovely quiet location. Furnished to a high standard with just about everything that you could need for a relaxing comfortable holiday not to mention the lovely bottle of prosecco awaiting us on our arrival. Excellent WiFi. Outside terrace a delight .

Very good

Brilliant location right on the river, great views, close to the Centre and local pubs and restaurants. The house was lovely and bright. The property inside was very clean. Lovely linen/towels, very comfy beds, great shower. Very peaceful, very quiet at night. Very nice surprise given by Chris, I have not stated as I don't want to spoil it for others.

DVD advertised but not in the living room, needs to be removed from children's bedroom to the living room. The curtains in the master bedroom are not dark enough as The sunrise woke me around 6am each morning not great when on vacation, maybe a pull down blind could be added. Decking outside on patio areas and lead up to back door requires a good clean as 1st impressions count for a lot.

The space in the shower is a little cramped, if you were 6 ft or taller I could see that being quite tricky. That's only negative though and I understand it's an old house so you can't have everything. The positives definitely outweigh that

a beautiful space to relax in

amazing location on the river; very very comfortable and restful and well equipped. the type of house you don’t want to leave in the morning to explore

nothing. for a family of five with two teenagers having one bathroom can be a challenge. but nothing else.

The perfect host in a great location

The location for the park, town centre and boat trips was exceptional. Plenty of places to eat near the property. The accommodation was clean, warm with outstanding views over the river. Plenty of hot water and towels supplied as well as sanitary stations around the property. Chris is an outstanding host going the extra mile to ensure my mother and I had a great break - the bottle of wine was most appreciated.

A perfect location with fantastic facilities.

The property is a home from home with everything thought of, in a fantastic location close the the centre, the park is one minute walk and the views to the river are just amazing. It was a very comfortable stay with comfy beds, a warm home with every comfort.

Relaxing, quiet area, attentive owner, beautiful house - we felt spoilt!

Exceptionally clean, tidy property, lovely decor, and very comfortable with all our needs covered and more. The situation of the property by the river is stunning and very relaxing. Chester centre is just a short walk away. The owner was very attentive and the whole experience was just perfect. We hope to come back!

A great stay in a warm and comfortable house in a fantastic location

Excellent location, a quiet, beautiful spot but only a 5-10 walk from the shops and restaurants. Lovely walks directly from the property and gorgeous views.

excellent location, with parking. Beautiful house, very comfortable and cosy. everything you need for a perfect stay. overlooks the river which is stunning. This is my 2nd visit to Rondeva, and already looking to rebook next year.

Outstanding is an understatement

It was incredible how sitting on the terrace watching people rowing and on boat trips was so enjoyable and relaxing. I felt like a Queen waving to everyone. It’s nice to pretend that you’re rich and live in the beautiful house surrounded by unique gardens

Climbing the stairs from the terrace to the bathroom- but it’s a listed building and so there’s nothing that can be done about it.

Beautiful townhouse

The house is immaculate and very well decorated, it has everything you would need for a long or short stay. The views of the river are beautiful and we loved waking up every morning to the rowers doing their morning practice 😀 the communication with the host was second to none, he was very attentive and always answered any questions we had really quickly, we greatly appreciated the complimentary bottle of prosecco and we can not wait to return.
