About this house rental

The last house on Apalachicola Bay at the West end of the island. This is just before the Cut which is the navigational channel separating Little St. George Island State Park. This home has a deep water dock (10') where premier fishing is to be had, a private pool shared among the 10 residential homes of Bayside and place for parking your boat trailer while you visit. Surrounded by parkland and water, this home is a great experience. And fishing is GREAT here too. The strong tide runs in deep water along the dock going to and from the navigational channel are very productive for many saltwater game fish. Very private and peaceful. Located in the Plantation. A private gated community with new clubhouse and pool.
On the second floor is an open floor plan kitchen/living room. Great for entertaining guests and family dinners. Kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils as if you were right at home.
CDC sanitation guidelines are in effect to ensure that your family is safe from the spread of COVID-19. Also, the home is vacant for a minimum of 7 days prior to your arrival, this will ensure a thorough sanitation has been down to the home.

The home has a wonderful location within The Plantation. Easy access to beach and the cut. Nice dock on bay. Communication with the owner was excellent. On arrival we had a small issue with the fridge and owner was very responsive and helpful. The home was nice but lacked a few things we felt were considered essential. There was no broom to sweep the tile floor daily (sand gets everywhere) we didn’t have enough utensils for everyone daily. While the house was clean, it could use a deep clean. The floors were dirty in certain areas throughout the main living area. There were people night fishing off the dock several nights and there are no curtains in the bedrooms that block out light…while not a huge deal, it did make it hard to sleep with bright light in your eyes. Overall we had a nice trip.

The location was perfect. Easy walk to the beach with a beach cart. Beautiful view of the bay with access to fishing pier. The house was ideal for our group. The owner was great to work with! Highly recommend!

The home had plenty of space for our family. It was pet friendly. It was so nice to wake up to an ocean (bay) view each morning. The pool was right across from the property and it was a short walk to the beach. The beach was not crowded. The home was clean and had everything we needed during our stay. We really enjoyed our time on Saint George Island and will be back again.

We had a great time, I’m a fisherman so having the dock right behind the house was a plus, I caught a shark, sail catfish, speckled trout, and pig fish. The girls loved the pool and of course the beach. We also liked to area because it was so quiet, and peaceful.

House is great if you’re wanting something on the quiet end of the island. Beautiful Bay view and easy walk to the beach. Just don’t plan on trying to dock your boat there if that is something you want to do because you won’t have access to the lifts and the water is too rough to tie up.

We absolutely love SGI and staying at George’s place allows is the best of all three worlds. The Bay. The Ocean and the Cut. What more could you ask for. The house is very quaint. Feels like home. Love George and Chelsey too

Great family house for Thanksgiving. Glad our fur babies could join us! Carpets could use a switch out or deep clean. But great family house with plenty of room for everyone to relax!

We had a good experience overall with this property. There are a few things I would have liked to have known keep before choosing it though. First of all when they say they provide access to boat parking, they simply mean you can tie your boat to the dock. You are not provided with a boat slip, just access to tie up anywhere along the dock if there is room. Also the property was great, very clean, but the home itself is at the very end of a gated community and takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the house once you’ve entered the gated community. Overall once you cross the bridge to St George Island it’s still about a 30 min drive to the property given its location at the end of the island/gated community. Otherwise we had a great stay. The island was beautiful!

My family and I had the best time over the Christmas break! The house was really spacious and clean, plenty of room to fish off of the shared dock, and the neighbors/other renters were very welcoming. The owner was a pleasure to work with and very responsive! We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time with our multi-generational family over Thanksgiving. We went to the beach several times (short walk), and rode the boat over to Little St. George for a beautiful shelling trip. It's a very quiet area, and a well-kept house. I would stay there again. Thank you!

We loved the view of the bay as well as fishing off the dock. We caught lots of fish (mostly catfish but some trout and others as well). We got to see gorgeous sunsets every night - what a treat. . Perfect location and view. We enjoyed the pool as week and being so close to the beach near the cut. The kitchen was well stocked with all that we needed. The house felt very private and comfortable. My only complaint was the amount of dog hair we found, but as this is a pet friendly rental, I should have expected that. We just washed/swept extra to get rid of it. Thanks for a great stay and lots of wonderful memories.

Check in and out was a breeze. This property was the perfect location for a quick boat trip to the gulf. The dock was a great place for relaxing and watching the sunset. The property had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation.

This house is amazing! I can't believe any of the reviews saying otherwise. The owner was awesome, and a lot of fun. We came to the house by boat, and the owner met us on the pier to help out. We needed it, since the tide was strong and I had to learn how to tie the boat up. Everyone loved the house and the awesome view. We caught more fish off the pier than we did the boat. We caught as many 150 pound plus sharks off the pier we cared to catch. It was awesome fishing. The cut is about a 1 minute boat ride, right next door. We watched people come from miles around, since the cut is the place to fish. The house was very clean, and looks better than the pictures. We had access to great biking and hiking, we were able to walk to the beach and the cut. The beach was a 5 minute walk, and had all kinds of shells. There's shells everywhere. I would definitely recommend this to anyone I know. Staying here is like staying on a tropical island, but Apalachicola is only a 25 minute drive away to do all the shopping and get fresh shrimp right off the boat.Love everything about the place, and loved the owner.

We are repeat customers and absolutely love this house. It's location in Plantation is hard to beat! The men and boys enjoyed fishing off the dock every night. The teenagers loved the pool and riding bikes all over. I enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen. I have no complaints, even though the AC went out on the top floor a day into our trip. Chelsey, the property manager and George, the owner, took care of us in as timely a manner as possible. If you are a first-timer to SGI, you will fall in love with any home in Plantation, but Seaside Treasure is our favorite!
