Bon rapport qualité prix pour la région.

Bon accueil. Nous étions seuls dans la guesthouse. Parking juste devant. Bon rapport qualité prix pour la région. Pas loin d'Appenzell.

A rafraîchir. Les salle de bain dans les chambres (bloc WC, lavabo, douche) sont minuscules. Les plafonds sont à 2m.

Von aussen abweisend und wie verlassen, innen authentisch.

Freundliche Gastgeber, authentisches Gebäude, schöne Umgebung Wir dachten Frühstück wäre im Preis inklusive, gab aber leider keins, dafür aber standen Tee und Kaffee gratis zur Verfügung.

Boden (im Schlafzimmer) knarzt überdurchschnittlich stark selbst für das Alter des Gebäudes. Die Gasthausfront war in schlechtem Zustand, Eingang nicht klar ausgeschildert, Und verdeckt von Weihnachtsdekoration, dass ich zunächst dachte wir sind falsch und es ist ein verlassenes Gebäude. Sehr einfache Installationen, fehlende Glühbirne, aber ok für den Preis.

If you are into history, as I am, you will Love this place. Over 200 years old, full of details, old wooden chests and furniture, clocks, paintings..Like a trip to history. Great host, great coffee, really nice place.

If you are very tall, and I am over 2 meters, you will not be able to stand up straight in the rooms. Other than that, perfect.

Exceptional

The place is lovely -200 hundred years old house, nicely decorated, very spacious and clean. we parked in front of it. Our host was a lovely stand woman. There is a bakery nearby. Saint Gallen and Appenzell are very close, which make the location very convenient if you are on a roar trip as we were.

Great Gästehaus in Schönengrund

Lovely historic old coaching inn. Perfect location, friendly, excellent English, excellent breakfast, excellent value for money, ample parking. Would stay again. Recommended.

Some traffic noise in a front room, but very quiet at the back.

Everything was perfect, thanks!

Number was perfect and stuff was totally nice too. In old or maybe ancient Switzerland style, so its really interesting place. Also, I like decoration and furniture in my room.

Maybe location is not comfort, but this is small cute village, so this doesn't disadvantage

Lovely stay in the Alps!

The owner was friendly and very helpful. As there were no other guests, she kindly gave us our choice of rooms which we appreciated, We chose one overlooking the road but the only sounds we heard were of cowbells as they lulled us to sleep! There was a large common room with a kettle and plenty of tables and chairs to drink tea, play cards pr just relax. Our room was prettily decorated with matching pillows and bedspread and oodles of space including two chairs. What a shame we only had the one night to stay.

The Gasthaus was very old and therefore somewhat quirky - lots of stairs and landings and also an antiquated electrical system. We blew a circuit breaker not once but twice which we've never done before anywhere! We had to shower in the dark as there was no power the next morning but we didn't mind as everything else was ideal! As the owner also operates a campground, we didn't see much of her which might be a concern for some guests.

Superb

The managers are super kind and very responsive. They even let us charge our electric car overnight. The place is clean and there's ample space for parking. A shop and a bar/bakery are walking distance.

Nothing to really complain about. Only maybe the beds could be a bit more comfortable and toilettes are really basic.
