Perfect location in beautiful Lixouri

The best thing was the location without a doubt. Lixouri is such a nice town, especially in the evening (at least in summer, cause this is when the people are out), and the apartment is just far enough to avoid the noise from the main streets but close enough to get there walking (5-10min), but it's still within the city, so it's a nice walk. Second, Dimitris was very kind and always available to solve any problem we encountered. They were also very flexible with the check-in and check-out, which we appreciated a lot. Third, the apartment is spacious and clean, with lots of storage space, tables, chairs, etc. Also kitchen utensils and kitchenware were very good, lots of new plates, pots, pans, glasses and cups (please add a cutting board!). Windows can be shut dark to avoid the sun in the early morning (and also the heat). And all of them have mosquito nets, including the bedroom's balcony door; that's very useful! The bathroom is also huge!

The beds are SO uncomfortable. To be honest, we didn't tell Dimistris because we wouldn't expect them to actually change the mattresses, and we saw past reviews on booking complaining about the beds, so nothing new, but you could really feel all the bumps from the springs inside. It was also very hot inside, which we also expected for the attic, so the AC helped but I'd recommend having them updated. As I told Dimistris, the apartment could really benefit from having a few extras like a broom and a mop to be able to clean up a little bit, especially in the kitchen, if you drop something, or if you bring sand from the beach. Since there is a kitchen, so you expect people to cook a bit, it would also be nice to leave some basics for the guests, such as oil, salt, sugar or coffee and, above all, a couple of bottles of water, since the tap water is not drinkable.

Spacefull, all the necessery gadgets, clean, always have place for parking, big refrigerator, close to excellent bakery, close to big markets, good location for driveing to the beautiful beaches. Everything you need...

Great place to stay. Lixouri is lovely and so accessible from Argostoli by ferry - 3 euros each!

Everything was fabulous - just need a new mattress and then it would be perfect

Decent budget room.

Nice clean apartment, equipped with everything you could need during your stay. Good position, you can easily walk to the city center in a few minutes. The owner was kind and helpful and the communication was simple and fast. Free parking in the streets. Lixouri is nice and there are plenty of marvelous beaches nearby.

Great big flat with all amenities

Absolutely loved the place. Big rooms, well equipped kitchen, quiet, good air condition, good hairdryer, with an iron to always look sleek even on vacay, many towels so that you also have one for the hair and for the hands etc, mosquito net on the windows. My husband had to work and used the wi fi which worked perfect. Not far from the center and the owners are super kind, friendly and helpful. Feels like being at home! Thanks for the great stay!

Would be great to have a mosquito net in the bedroom door to be able to sleep with windows open.

Cleaniness & urgent renovation needed

The manager Dimitri was kind and communicative. Balcony was cozy and very nice to stay.

Very hot inside, air conditioning only on the top floor of the duplex, and not working properly. Bathroom was very bad, and the whole interior very old and with too many decorations all in dust. I would advise less decorations, more cleaniness and defikitely a new renovated bathroom.

The property was really spacious and well looked after. It was very close to town - just a short walk which was ideal for going out for dinner and drinks! The host, Dimitri, was very accommodating and was there to greet us even though we arrived very late in the evening.

Very good price

Large and clean studio, located in a quiet and peaceful residential area at 10-15 min walk from the centre of Lixouri/Lixouri port where you can find a lot of restaurants and bars. From Lixouri port you can take the ferry to Argostoli (the capital of Kefalonia) at every 30 min for a fee of 2.60 euro/person or 4 euro/car. The ferry runs from 7:00 am till midnight. Lixouri has a very good position to visit Xi beach, Petani beach, Agia Kiriaki beach, Vouti beach, Myrtos beach, Fteri beach. Mr. Dimitris is a great host. The kitchen is very well equipped, it has a microwave, a coffee/tea making machine, a water boiler, an electric kettle and a kitchenware. The studio was cleaned at every two days when they changed the whole set of towels and lingerie every time. This is a very great place for backpackers or if you want to stay on a budget.

Lack of a private balcony in case of studios, but there is a shareable space where you have your own table where you can stay if you want to drink a coffee or smoke.

An amazing stay a few steps from the center of Liksouri

Quiet and peaceful area. The host welcomed me and provided some good recommendations for best nearby beaches. The flat is so nice, big and well laid out. Easy walk to the Town centre. Everything was clean and tidy with anything might need in an apartment. Kitchenware included. Overall a fantastic stay. Definitely recommended and I will stay there again.

Superb

Very nice apartment a few steps from the center of Liksouri. Quiet , peaceful area. The host welcomed us and provided some good recommendations for best nearby beaches. Big apartment with plenty of space and kitchenware.

The kitchen table had many tiny ants so we could not leave any food there. (Not a big deal a disinfection would help) , no Toilet pigal.

Poor to horrible

Nothing to like, unfortunately

The air conditioner was smelling like having a dead body inside so we could not keep it open so it was very very hot during the night. We had to keep the windows open so it was very noisy. There were many ants and bugs! We could not keep anything on the table since in 5 minutes was full of ants. We had some cereals for the kids that were covered in ants! The bedroom was very small for accommodating 4 persons as we were. It was upstairs and the ceiling was in our heads literally.
