Superb

The room was very clean and the view was amazing. The staff was very kind and very helpfull. There is a restaurant underneath the hotel were breakfast, lunch and dinner is served, this is nice to have because there aren't many other restaurants close by.

The only thing that was a bit of a shame, was that there wasn't a completely vegetarian (no fish, meat or chicken) option on the menu, but the staff was really helpful and prepared an omelet with vegetables and potatos for us.

Excellent modern facilities..exceptional restaurant..lovely hosts ..family business located in a rustic stone cottage village where the locals grow and press their own grapes. Easy access to the waterfalls and hiking trails. Stunning area to visit.

Amazing place for a peaceful walking holiday. Everything you need is on the doorstep.

A wonderful family run hotel in the heart of the National Park. The family run the hotel, restaurant, bar and small shop in the same building. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We had a lovely view from the velux windows but other rooms - lower down- had balconies. No problem for us as we had lots of wonderful views as we walked the 14km circular path from the door. It was amazing! The food was wonderful, freshly prepared, tasty and plentiful. We thoroughly recommend this place!!

Excellent place , great host

Superb Hotel, decent size room with comfy bed and very clean, bathroom had good size shower, would recommend people to stay here and a bonus for me is the receptionist spoke very good English. There is a restaurant down stair that is part of the hotel and the breakfast was very good. also has a small shop and bar next door which was ideal after a long motorcycle ride.

No problems with my stay in the hotel, just my satnav brought me in from Salamonde and through the small cobbled streets of Fafiao, which would of been a tight squeeze in a car but was fun on a motorcycle

The room was amazing, so cute and comfy, small nice details, like some complementary chocolates and nice declarations. Wonderful view on the mountain. Restaurant one of the best in Portugal..the best grilled fish I have tried. Staff was supper helpful, they help to get a taxi for us and opened the store so we could get some wine after hike

Maybe bathroom needs to be a little bit repainted

Proper place to enjoy rural tourism at Peneda-Geres

The road to the village requires patience, plus at the moment there are road works (I would appreciate if they warned us). They charge you 25€ if you check-in after 20h. TV didn't work.

In general is quite good value for money. Very relaxing atmosphere. I recommend breakfast (only 3€) and dinner at the restaurant next door, with traditional and delicious food. There is also a bar next to the restaurant for some drinks.

We had an amazing stay in Casa Baranda. The building and the room were very clean and we felt very welcome. We got amazing breakfast and dinner in the restaurant downstairs. Olga (the Host) helped us anytime and made everything to make the stay unforgettable! We would absolutely recommend Casa Baranda and would back anytime. Thank you!

The place was very nice and quiet. Close to waterfalls and some viewpoints.

Te wifi is very bad, connection really low, can’t do anything on pc. Also there wasn’t any table where just to sit and put pc - but in pictures you can find that thing. There is no grocery shop near!

Excellent service, dedicated staff, comfort and cleanliness. The owner, her daughters and mother in law are very warm hosts, treating customers with kindness and warmth. Excellent compliance with Covid regulations. They were very keen on improvising a vegetarian dinner with turned out to be very good. Also, it was a pleasure to enrol in very pleasant conversations with the owner. Impressive how in such a small village they are able to provide comfort and good care.

Good location, family run, very friendly, clean.

The bed in our room creaked every time someone moved and woke up my partner throughout the night. The food in the restaurant is not the best. Not bad per se, but it's lacking the touch of a professional chef.

Wondergul place to stay

The place was clean, friendly staff and it is near the waterfalls I want to visit. Its a bit of the Geres center if you are looking to be close to civilization, at this place its nature, and nature alone....

Nothing was out of order. Really enjoyed my stay here. I truly recommend it.

Casa Barada was a lovely and magical discovery.

What I liked most was the location, the Ermida village was a great surprise. It was the perfect place for a needed short break retreat.

Super clean!

the property is well located on a calm and quiet village. Room and bathroom super clean which is a feature hard to find these days. The family that runs it is friendly and you will have enough attention but also the privacy you are looking for.

maybe the property could charge a little more for breakfast and pump it up with more options, such as grains, granola, yogurt, etc.

A lovely hotel in the mountains

The staff were lovely and the breakfast for €3 superb value. Excellent panoramic views and probably better for hiking in the mountains. We ate both nights at the hotel restaurant - lovely home cooked food and plentiful. Green wine was delicious and at €5 excellent value. Bathroom in room 10 had lovely shower but room 9 shower tiny and not updated

I misread the location expecting it to be 2.5km from Geres, however it was 10.5km up very windy roads at Elmida. Despite that the rooms were basic but clean. No safe or fridge. Rooms not cleaned or beds made because of Covid
