The perfect stay

Loved everything from start to finish. Room ,view ,hosts, breakfast and fabulous location. Truly wonderful stay and will be back again soon

Beautiful setting and property. Excellent value and wonderful hosts.

We were more than pleased with our stay at Sandhill house. The owners, Peter and Elaine put their person touch into this lovely place that made us feel so welcome. The property was very well maintained with even more improvements in the works outside. The interior spaces were clean, nicely decorated, very comfortable, and inviting. The bathroom was quite large as was the sleeping area. We definitely did not feel cramped and had room for our various travel belongings. I especially enjoyed the very thoughtful "welcome" amenities such as tea condiments and glasses for wine; so nice that I felt quite pampered. Our room has a magnificent view of Toon and the sunset. It was also a very fun stay as we were well entertained by their friendly llama, Duke, and cute highland pony. Lastly, we enjoyed our classic Scottish breakfast in a nicely presented and elegant dining area and table setting. What more can I say? It was one of our favorite stays over the course of 3 weeks. Oh, and don't miss a meal at the very close Piersland Restaurant - we had an excellent meal there and service superb (book ahead).

I'd love to see the fountain working and improvements to the backside. But this isn't a negative; it was all still lovely.

A beautiful well maintained and manged hotel which only delights.

The hotel supassed our expectation as it was superb. The room and public area was spotless, modern and beautifully furnished with every amenity one would need. It is set in beautiful gardens a short walk to the golf course and a wide open beach. The breakfast was made to order and excellent. We cannot recommend this hotel enough and we look forwrad to staying therte again.

Travelled the world and stayed in some special places but Sandhill House gets our Golden Buzzer 👍

Love it, love it, love it !!

The house has beautifully furnished and provides for a luxurious and relaxed stay. You are made to feel welcome the moment you walk through the front door. Why can’t all B&Bs be as good as this ??

amazing place with lovely owners

the grounds were lovely as were the communal spaces and our room. spacious and so comfortable with lovely original features. the breakfast was amazing, had a beautiful fruit salad and cooked breakfast, beside an open fire. we’re vegan and the host made sure we were accommodated for. would definitely recommend and would return if in the area again!

Gorgeous property and lovely host

Gorgeous property and location, room was huge and had a view of the field where the alpaca and pony were, the host was extremely friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious! Stayed here for a wedding nearby and the location was perfect.

Superb stay

Elaine and Peter were lovely hosts, catered to all our needs. The house itself is beautiful with a lovely garden to venture around Duke and Muppet were adorable, loved feeding them.along with the other horses and donkeys thst were there too Our bedroom was a family room, super size room with comfy beds, enormous bathroom with an amazing shower, Breakfast was lovely too

We had a fabulous stay at Sandhill House and would love to come back and stay here!

The host was really friendly and very welcoming Our room had a fab sea view and was so comfortable.The Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty choice.

There was nothing we did not like! and the only thing we reckon would help is perhaps a little more signage on the main road to enable guests reach the location.

Loved, loved, loved our stay at Sandhill House.

Breakfast was excellent, varied menu, fresh produce, freshly cooked, served in beautiful dining room, overlooking grounds. Location was amazing, 20 minutes walk to beach, but set in tranquil setting, peace perfect peace. House was stunning as all the original features have been maintained. The view from our beautiful room took in both the sea and Royal Troon golf course. Elaine and Peter are the perfect hosts.
