Fabulous stay in Dartmouth

A lovely, warm welcome from Ann with tea and coffee provided and information on the local area. The room and ensuite bathroom were very comfortable and nicely decorated. We enjoyed sitting out on the veranda with a fantastic view of the river Dart and the town. Continental breakfast on the first morning was brought to our room at the time we requested. It was everything we would want and more. The second morning we enjoying a cooked breakfast on the balcony upstairs which was high end restaurant quality. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Extremely welcoming, lots of thought had clearly gone into making our stay as comfortable as possible, exceptional breakfast & standard of cleanliness superb!

Superb

Excellent property and our room had spectacular views over Dartmouth. Being abe to have breakfast on the verander helped as the weather was very good.

Car access to the property is a little difficult due to it being in an old part of town on a steep hill but once that has been mastered it didn't cause any issues

Pleasant, with some issues.

The room was lovely, with small garden and veranda. The breakfast was adequate.

The fact that parking is offered and actually there really isn’t any. The road suggested to park in is very narrow, this was a concern as we have a rather expensive car. The toast at breakfast should not be wrapped in tin foil, as this makes the toast sweat, resulting in soggy toast. I did not like the fact the host text during your holiday, to ask you to leave umbrellas and wet clothes in the hall. Suggesting that you are unable to make the decision for yourself, that I (as an adult) would not be able to think for myself. I am sensible enough to make the decision for myself. Perhaps some of the guests are inconsiderate when having wet clothes.

Very pleasant way to take in the ambience of Dartmouth

Very pleasant room, comfortable bed, very good bathroom and a lovely private terrace with a wonderful view of Dartmouth. Helpful and friendly hosts with well informed suggestions on where and what to do in Dartmouth. Good breakfast. Short, if steep, walk from the center of Dartmouth.

Getting there by car is challenging, but with the help of the hosts quite doable.

An enjoyable stay with amazing views!

The views were amazing, lovely comfortable room and delicious breakfast.

Because of high position on the hill the walk back and forth to town was hard walking.

Booked at the last minute and would not hesitate to stay again. Good location

The breakfast was excellent and served very promptly with fresh ingredients. Friendly owners, good room with en suite and lovely view and balcony.

There was a noise from an air vent in the bathroom even when it was switched off. I think this was an external noise.

Fabulous setting, beautiful house, amazing view, lovely breakfast

The road to the property is pretty daunting but don't be scared. We found it easiest to follow the owners instructions and come at it from Victoria Street (I think) and drive down as far as you can passed the parked cars. There's ample room to turn the car round to drive back along fairview

A memorable two day stay with so much attention to detail.

The room was spotless and afforded two outdoor seating areas. The best bit was a beautiful breakfast served on a balcony. Gentle music in the background , a 5 star set table and a view to die for. Wonderful caring hosts. Will return.

Parking is a small space but hosts will help you if necessary.

A B&B that serves up excellence in every way.

Both the location and the breakfast was superb. Quiet, cozy, comfort with the added bonus of a parking space. The hosts were very welcoming, kind and helpful and the views are even better than the pictures on the website. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly return.

Breakfast excellent. Wide choice to choose from. The location of Compass rose is in an elevated position to get the marvellous views so there are a lot of steps to reach the property if walking. This didn’t spoil it for us though.

No complaints at all.

Excellent, would definitely return.

Everything was excellent, from the initial greeting from Sue, to the spotlessly clean and tidy room, to the fantastic breakfast with the amazing view on the balcony and the comfortable room and double shower. Nothing was too much trouble. Can highly recommend.

The parking is a bit tight if you have a big car. The shower head needs descaling, but I’m being picky.
