Totalement enchanté

Totalement enchanté du séjour passé a Pinho Verde, patron très sympathique et convivial ainsi que tout le personnel, chambre très agréable et très spacieuse, propreté irréprochable, parking privé, et la piscine superbe, bref je ne peux que recommander.

Exceptional

We were very happy here, and the family/staff couldn’t have done more to help us. As Camino-walkers, the swimming pool did not disappoint! Well stocked bar, comfortable beds and an expansive garden to sit in and soak up sun.

A little bit isolated if you don’t have a car. The restaurant opposite is closed on a Sunday evening, so we had a pizza delivered, which was fine. Again, the family helped us organise this!

Lack of facilities. We didn’t have a car and there were no food options. Staff seemed to not care.

Lots of parking spaces. Mattress was ok.

Room was noisy, woke up early from noise outside. Breakfast was bad. Coffee was not good, there was only cheese, not good looking ham and some preserves. Croissant was chewy and full of sugar. The bread was good. Not worth the price of the breakfast.

Perfect off season

Great little place with good facilities like the outdoor kitchen and barbecue next to the pool. Rooms are good and pretty new with Aircon. Close to cities like Coimbra in a quiet area. Outside a small village where you've got restaurant and small shops. Bonus point for the friendly owner and staff

Ok for someone with a car

Helpful owner, arranged for two cabs into town centre. Walking the Camino it’s rather secluded. Arrived on May Day and the two nearby restaurants were closed. Clean and quite, comfortable bed, good shower but value could be better.

Location for Camino walker. Expensive for what it offered.

great value for money and handy location. Nice staff

The room was basic but very clean and comfortable I requested a ‘motel’ style room where I could park right outside the room for ease of unloading and loading my equipment. there was plenty of hot water, you just had to let it run for a couple of minutes. the breakfast was simple but plenty of it and good value for the price. the owner and staff were friendly and very helpful. I will certainly stay there again. it’s very handy for the main Oporto to Lisbon motorway.

very little. the breakfast started at 8.00 on weekdays and 8.30 on weekends but I’m sure you could arranged it earlier if you needed an early start.

Great location and value for money. Bad to sleep into late hours.

Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, very clean room and toilet, comfortable temperature (but also AC, heater and windows). Good lighting.

Staff mandatorily cleans room EVERY MORNING at 11. Cannot sleep in conveniently. Poorly lit road entrance from main route, early hours for breakfast (10am) and checkout (11am) if one just wants to relax and sleep in. Door curtain does not black-out entirely, walls are thin.

Beds were clean and comfy. Room was well sized for family with table/chair, closet and TV. Bathroom was fine and clean. WiFi worked well with excellent signal. Good location to local area, if prepared to walk.

Would have been nice to have a lounge that was open all night. Hand rail on entrance steps wouldn't go a miss. Hard to actually fault the stay.

Everyone was friendly and helpful...its on the camino...very nice breakfast....English spoken...and I should give a mention to a great restaurant just 100 yards away...

Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable beds. No fuss, no nonsense stay.

We stayed here whilst walking on our Camino, so it was a little off our route for us. We decided not to have breakfast as it started a bit late that day for us (8:30 I think).

Good breakfast and proximity (200m) to a good restaurant.Only 400 m from the Camino Portuguese.

Noise from the highway., hot water took a long time to reach room 109.

Restful spot for pilgrims

The room is clean and very well equipped. It’s one of the only rooms I’ve stayed in on this journey that had water cups to drink from in the room, and a hair dryer. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The bar served good coffee and other drinks and the breakfast was outstanding. I enjoyed the aviary with the birds. Reception ordered the pizza for us to be delivered and dug out some paper plates for us to eat it on.

The only problem with this lodging is that it is not directly on the Camino and there’s no place to eat close by, therefore necessitating us to either order a taxi to come take us to a restaurant or walk another couple of kilometers that day or, what we ended up doing, order pizza to be delivered. everything else was great!

Quite nice place to be with kids

Quiet place with playground for kids and pool. Very good to relax. Nice barbecue area. Kind staff.

No bin in the room. Small rooms and bathroom. Entrance with code, where we had to press with fingers.

Out in the middle of nowhere.

This is an older hotel but maintained adequately. The staff were very friendly and helped me with all my needs. The pool was lovely. The problem is that it is in the middle of nowhere with no support. If you are on foot, as I was as a pilgrim, you are stuck. There is no restaurant and no store nearby. I had to take a taxi into town to get some food for dinner.
